Year 1 News Autumn Term 1 Welcome to Y1. We hope you have enjoyed the Summer break! Our whole school theme for the first few weeks of this half term is Narnia. This is following on from our work on transition day and the children have really enjoyed the work we have been doing so far! Our main project this term will be ‘Homes’. We will be looking at homes in the past, homes now and also thinking about homes around the world. As part of this topic we will be designing and making a shoebox room. What you need in Y1 for PE The children in both classes will have 2 P.E lessons each week. Both year one classes have their PE days on Mondays and Thursdays.

If you need any new kit please speak to the office staff. To help with children changing for PE independently, please allow your child to dress themselves at home. You may even want to try tying shoe laces!
