LOCHWOOD BLUEGRASS BAND
Lochwood Bluegrass Band, Saturday, March 9, at 8:00 PM at Cisel Hall, MSU-B Campus. Sponsored by Yellowstone Public Radio, Yellowstone Bluegrass Association, Hansen Music, and Kirk Violins. Admission $20. Doors open at 7:30. Lochwood, Montana’s most traditional Bluegrass band! Coming together in 2014, the goal of this band has always been playing the music the “right” way in the tradition of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and the Stanley Bros. Featuring 3-part harmonies, hard driving rhythms and exciting solos. The band members come from all over the country but the common theme is the rural Mountain values found in western Montana. Richie Reinholdt, was born in Japan and grew up in San Diego, CA. Richie has been a major player in the acoustic scene (and some of that Rock and Roll music) of western Montana area for many years, performing with the regionally successful Live Wire Choir from 1976 through 1979 and has performed on stages world wide during his long music career. Richie keeps us on the right path with his knowledge of Bluegrass tradition & solid guitar work. Richie also adds lead and harmony vocals as well as songwriting to the band. John Parker, from Burlington, NJ, has been leading bands in the Western MT area since the mid 1970s. His band Finley Creek was a mainstay in the area for many years. We’re happy to have his skills on bass and vocals with Lochwood. Steve Taft, from Jamestown, ND, cut his bluegrass teeth in the Seattle BG scene playing solid banjo in many well-known bands, most recently Brothers Keeper. He’s also appeared regularly with Rural Delivery and was a founding member of Lonesome Road. Chad Fadely, from Hot Springs, AR, has been the go-to mandolin player in Western Montana for more than 20 years. Usually active in multiple bands, Chad keeps busy playing that Bluegrass style he loves and when he’s not playing mandolins or guitars, he’s selling them at Music Villa in Bozeman, MT. Taylor Buckley, a MT native from Roundup, is the newest member of the band the youngest! Taylor grew up playing Bluegrass fiddle with his family band, The Buckley’s. After an extended stay on the east coast, Taylor is now back in his home state of Montana and was recruited to the before his bags were unpacked! We’re so very happy to have Taylor in the band playing Fiddle and adding to the 3-part harmonies.

KINKY BOOTS
KINKY BOOTS is Broadway’s hugehearted, high-heeled hit! With songs by Grammy® and Tony® winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind. Inspired by true events, KINKY BOOTS takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos. With direction and choreography by
two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and a book by Broadway legend and four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), KINKY BOOTS is the winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Choreography. Take a step in the right direction and discover that sometimes the best way to fit in is to stand out. “There is no show hotter than KINKY BOOTS!” – CBS News Alberta Bair Theater 2722 3rd Ave. N www.albertabairtheater.org March 22

That’s where he found his lawyer, his manager, his cello and where he continues to find a genuine connection with his inspiration: the commuters of New York. Influenced by Stevie Wonder’s groove and Burt Bacharach’s jazzy yet poppy sensitivities, along with other contemporary artists such as John Legend, Gabriel’s trademark sound is all his own. Gabriel released his self-titled album in 2016, along with his single and music video for “Say It’s Right,” directed by Blake
Farber, who has worked with Beyoncé and other A-list artists. As a member of the “Apsaalooke Nation,” Supaman makes his home in Montana. “Supaman” hardly describes the person who is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, a humble Native American dancer and hip hop artist who has dedicated his life to empowering youth and educating listeners with a message of hope through culture and music. His three self-produced projects have all received national recognition and awards including the 2011 North American Indigenous Image Award for an outstanding hip-hop album. Christian’s presentation combines Native American culture, humor, and urban hip-hop culture which dazzles audiences captivates listeners and breaks down stereotypes. He is a champion fancy dancer traveling extensively on the powwow circuit throughout the U.S and Canada and lives a drug and alcohol-free life. He also is a champion clown dancer and a Native American Flute player, not to mention a loving husband and father of three. These two artists are going to collaborate and share their music with each other and with you. Alberta Bair Theater 2722 3rd Ave. N www.albertabairtheater.org
Hidden Western Treasures at the Yellowstone County Museum A hidden treasure western history enthusiasts will delight in discovering, the Yellowstone County Museum has exhibits dedicated to ranch life, historic firearms, and one of the largest collections of American Indian artifacts in the region.
Western Room
Short-horned beef cattle were trailed into the Yellowstone River Valley from Idaho and Oregon by Edward Cardwell in 1879. Beef cattle production became a linchpin industry in Montana Territory once rail service opened access to eastern markets. A J.K. Ralston original mural, spanning the breadth of the room, is displayed above the Yellowstone County Museum’s authentic chuckwagon. It is a true-to-life depiction of the valley’s first settlers and the gear they carried with them. Ralston’s skillful hand shows the pilot wagon with its seasoned guide, chuckwagon, bed wagon, and finally the bawling, tail-twitching mass driven by outriders. Rodeo, ranch, and riding enthusiasts will marvel at the craftsmanship of the Connolly family - purveyors of Western wear, tack, and saddles in Billings since 1912. Several saddles are on display, and each one exhibits both utility and beauty in its own way.
American Indian Collection
A spacious room highlights the stories, art, apparel, and tools of the Yellowstone Valley’s earliest residents. With stunning quill- and beadwork filling the cases, the displays are considered some of the best of its kind in the state. New in 2017 is “Waiting for the Earth to Move,” the largest assemblage of Ghost Dance objects on display in the world. At a time of political and cultural turbulence, the 1890s Ghost Dance offered hope to the downtrodden tribes of the American Southwest and Plains. The evocative imagery of Ghost Dancers’ shirts and regalia captures both their pain and their anticipation of a better future. The Yellowstone County Museum is entered through the historic McCormick log cabin at 1950 Terminal Circle. Follow the roundabout into the airport and loop around the parking area until you reach the cabin on the right. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Learn more at ycmhistory.org or call 406-256-6811. Free admission.

Glenn Miller Orchestra
The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all dance bandleaders back in the Swing Era of the 1930s and 40s. A matchless string of hit records, the constant impact of radio broadcasts and the drawing power at theatres, hotels and dance pavilion, built and sustained the momentum of popularity. Glenn disbanded his musical organization in 1942 at the height of its popularity to volunteer for the Army. There, he organized and led the famous Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band. It went to Europe to entertain servicemen performing numerous live and radio shows. On December 15, 1944, Major Miller took off in a singleengine plane from Europe to precede his band to France, disappearing over the English Channel, never to be seen again. The army declared him officially dead a year later. With the release of the major motion movie The Glenn Miller Story featuring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson in 1954, interest and popular demand led the Miller Estate to authorize the formation of the present Glenn Miller Orchestra. On June 6, 1956, and under the direction of drummer Ray McKinley who had become the unofficial leader of the Army Air Force Band after Glenn’s disappearance, the reformed Glenn Miller Orchestra performed its first concert and has been on the road ever since. Other leaders have followed Ray including clarinetists Buddy DeFranco and Peanuts Hucko, trombonists Buddy Morrow, Jimmy Henderson, Larry O’Brien, and Gary Tole, and

tenor saxophonist Dick Gerhart. Since January 2012, vocalist Nick Hilscher leads the band. Today, the 18 member ensemble continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements both from the civilian band and the AAFB libraries. Additionally, it also plays some more modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound.” Alberta Bair Theater, 2722 3rd Ave. N www.albertabairtheater.org April 12

2019 Spring Home Improvement Show 36th Annual Show The 36th annual Spring Home Improvement Show is bursting at the seams in two buildings - the Expo Center and Montana Pavilion. The Montana Pavilion is located directly on the main Metrapark parking lot and the Expo Center is located adjacent to the Montana Pavilion. The show is recognized as the largest Trade Show in a five state area (MT, ID, SD, ND, WY) with over 650 exhibits spanning from the East coast to the West Coast, from Canada, and most importantly from right here in Billings. The show typically draws over 30,000 in attendance. This year’s show dates and hours will be Friday, March 1st, Noon - 8:00pm, Saturday, March 2nd, 9:00am - 6:00pm, & Sunday, March 3rd, 10:00am - 5:00pm. The show will encompass over 100,000 square feet of inside exhibit space along with over 35,000 square feet of outside exhibit space. Not only are admission and parking FREE but there is a free shuttle to and from the upper lot to make all parking convenient. By Saturday morning all of the exhibits will have been judged and the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place “Best of Show” awards will be proudly displayed. For expanded information go to the web site at: www.billingshomeimprovementshow.com.
The show continues to grow and gain in popularity every year. The producers of the show, Mark, Rhonda, Beau, and Devon Hedin attribute this as a result of the attendees being able to see the quantity (650+) and the quality of home improvement exhibits all within one show, thus saving attendees valuable time and effort. With a record setting real estate market couples with historically low interest rates and the desire for home owners to turn their homes into a more enjoyable environment, remodeling, decorating, and building is at an all-time high. The majority of businesses exhibiting at the show are from Billings, thus all business transactions and the revenue derived from these transactions remains in our community. Many businesses use the show to introduce and test the waters with new products and services. Demonstrations of these products and services are always a big hit at the show. Specialty food and drinks will be located throughout the show for weary show goers.
When the show first started 30 years ago in the corridors of Rimrock Mall, it was typical for exhibitors to come only hours before the show to set up their displays. As the show has grown over the years and the complexity of the displays has increased some exhibits start setting up as early as ten days prior to the event. The show was located at the Mall for its first two years and consisted of 92 exhibits. In the third year the show moved to the Holiday Inn Trade Center. The Trade center was a brand new building and gave the show the ability to grow to 175 exhibits. After five years the show expanded to two buildings - The Trade Center and the Ramada Inn Convention Center, allowing for 250 exhibits. After seven more years at these two buildings the Expo Center at MetraPark was built. The show moved over to the newly built Expo Center which gave the show the opportunity to expand to 450 exhibits. This year, which marks the 36th anniversary, the show is in two buildings at MetraPark - the Expo Center and the Montana Pavilion. This will give the show over 650 exhibit spaces. In an era of national economic recovery, the major expansion of the show, and the large waiting list of businesses trying to get in the show, truly indicates the economy in and around Billings is well. Interactive displays are always a big hit at the show so that attendees can experience products to see how they would perform at home. There will be an HDTV Home Theater Rooms featuring the newest in video and audio electronics. Other “Special Features” will include a custom backyard putting green, custom water features, live cooking demo’s and site built manufactured homes. There will be six Modular Homes constructed outside the Expo Center courtesy of Pierce Homes, Big Sky Homes, American Home Centers and Majestic Homes. These homes are built from the ground up, are totally complete, furnished, and can take up to three weeks to construct. The Montana Modular Home Association endorses their dealers in only one show per year and the Spring Home Improvement Show is the one they choose. All special feature rooms and demos are held in conjunction with the show and are free of charge.

and a journey into universal principals. He exhibits the extensive and studied byproduct of processes extracted from the world of planned randomness and science. This is the randomness we experience on a daily basis and yet have no idea of the gravitational coordination controlling it. The diverse, interactive and yet minimalistic approach to the work creates a subtext of awareness for the elements and puzzling realities harbored beneath fabrication, surface tension and random sequences. From work with light, to sound, to 3-D installations, this collection will inspire you to relish the very air around you and encourage you to engage with the work in a fun and immersive way. Lodge’s exhibition emphasizes the interplay of process and material— utilizing as a starting point, planned systems of randomness (stochastic process) and including interactive, evolving elements to engage visitors as creative partners. Methodologies of music composition and print media/image reproduction merge to generate artworks that exhibit components of and connections among these disparate sources. Born in Red Lodge, Montana in 1945, Jon Lodge left the Rocky Mountain west twenty years later to study jazz improvisation and composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He returned to Montana in the mid-1970s, where he worked in the commercial printing industry while continuing performing jazz. Desiring freedom from the collaborative aspects of music and more flexibility in his artistic practice, he decided to make visual art. Having worked for many years in a large commercial printing plant, he recognized that the byproducts of those processes could become his art materials. Since his first show in a small downtown cafe, he has exhibited widely across the Northwest, including the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, University of Wyoming Art Museum in Laramie, Holter Museum in Helena, Botanica Fine Art in Bozeman, Paris Gibson Square in Great Falls, and the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings. His work is in the permanent collections of the Yellowstone, Missoula and Nicolaysen Art Museums, the University of Wyoming Art Museum and the GSA Rocky Mountain Region. The Northcutt Steele Gallery is located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts building on the Montana State University Billings campus. The gallery is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.msubillings. edu/gallery or www.facebook.com/northcuttsteelegallery. ‘Murphy’s Celtic Legacy’ at ABT BILLINGS, MT - Alberta Bair Theater presents Murphy’s Celtic Legacy, a next generation Irish dance spectacular with original music, dance, and story on Friday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. Featuring dancers and musician from Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, and Celtic Woman, Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is Irish dance reborn. Created by Chris Hannon, former principal dancer for Lord of the Dance, the choreography combines traditional Irish and modern dance techniques, along with multimedia elements. Nineteen dancers and a seven piece band weave an original story drawn from Irish folklore—a tale of kings and queens, rebels and magic, epic battles between good and evil. The story, told at times by masked dancers, centers on an original storyline developed by Hannon about the Murphy clan who flees the corrupt tyrants of their native Eire in search of a better future. They come ashore on the island of Ishan where they encounter Ishas, the indigenous community of the Murphy’s new home. Pursued by the Dark Queen of Eire, the Murphys and the Ishas unite in their shared quest for peace and to overcome evil.
This performance by Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is sponsored by ISU Insurance Services Streeter Brothers, and CatCountry102.9. Tickets, $57/$42/$30 and $25 for students with valid I.D., are available at the Alberta Bair Theater Box Office on the corner of 3rd Ave N and N Broadway, by phone at 406-256-6052 (box office hours are Monday through Friday, 10-5; Saturday 10-3) and/or online at www.albertabairtheater. org. About Chris Hannon Chris has competed in every major Irish dance competition across the world. At the age of 16 he went on tour with Michael Flatley in Lord of the Dance. By the age of 20 Chris was performing the leading role “Don Dorcha” in both Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames and is only one of five principal dancers to have performed his role alongside Michael in both productions. After producing for successful pilot shows throughout 2013, Chris knew the time was finally right to launch is own show. Murphy’s Legacy premiered in January 2015 to critical acclaim. The name Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is a tribute to Hannon’s grandmother who founded the Hannon Murphy School of Irish Dancing in the Northeast of England.

Tippet Rise Fourth Concert Season Seven weeks of classical music at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains showcase internationally celebrated performers and outstanding emerging artists from around the world New sculptural pavilion, Xylem, designed by renowned architect Francis Kéré to open at start of season, offering a meditative gathering place on the Tippet Rise landscape
Artists include:
Pianists Anderson & Roe, Behzod Abduraimov, Julien Brocal, Jenny Chen, Stephen Hough, Pedja Muzijevic, Roman Rabinovich, and Aristo Sham; violinists Benjamin Beilman, Jennifer Frautschi, Paul Huang, and Katie Hyun; violists Ayane Kozasa and Nathan Schram; cellists Gabriel Cabezas and Sæunn Thorsteinsdóttir; bassist Anthony Manzo; oboist James Austin Smith; flutist Brandon Patrick George; the Escher, JACK, Rolston, and St. Lawrence string quartets; and the Gryphon Trio Fishtail, MT, February 20, 2019—Tippet Rise Art Center today announced full program details for its fourth concert season, to be presented from July 12 to September 7, 2019. The season’s artists will perform 23 classical music concerts both indoors and out at the art center, which is set on a 12,000-acre working ranch at the foot of Montana’s Beartooth Mountains. Under the direction of newly appointed Artistic Advisor Pedja Muzijevic, the season features an international roster of celebrated artists and rising stars, in programs that span more than four centuries of repertoire. Peter and Cathy Halstead, founders of Tippet Rise Art Center, said, “The artists are engaged, the programs have been set, and we’re looking forward to the fourth season at Tippet Rise with joy and gratitude. We thank Pedja Muzijevic for helping create such a satisfying and fascinating season of the old and the new, the musicians for joining what has become a Tippet Rise family of artists, and especially our wonderful audiences, who come from right next door and around the world to share these experiences with us. We have new music to offer this season, including our John Luther Adams world premiere. We have a new place where visitors can gather with friends or contemplate nature quietly, at Francis Kéré’s beautiful pavilion, which we will call Xylem. And we have the age-old connection between the land, the sky, and music. We are eager to begin.” Continuing Tippet Rise’s commitment to commissioning new works, the 2019 season features the world premiere of John Luther Adams’s Lines Made By Walking (String Quartet No. 5), to be performed on August 3 by the JACK Quartet. John Luther Adams was in residence at Tippet Rise in summer 2018 and began composing this new work then.
John Luther Adams said, “Throughout my creative life, I’ve found insight and clarity by walking. Lines Made By Walking took this further. Composing in the mornings and walking in the afternoons, I discovered this music not so much through my fingers on the piano keyboard, but rather through my feet on the ground. On my walks at Tippet Rise, I followed the contours of the land—along animal trails and old roads or striking out cross-country following watersheds and ridgelines. Then, at my desk, I searched for the most fluid and beautiful routes across the musical landscape.”
The Fourth Season: An Overview
The Gryphon Trio will begin the season on Friday, July 12 with a program contrasting early chamber music by Beethoven and Brahms with a work by the globe-trotting, Sri Lankanborn composer Dinuk Wijeratne. The next day, members of the Gryphon Trio will be joined by flutist Brandon Patrick George for a concert with works by Haydn, Debussy, Ravel, and Steve Reich (Vermont Counterpoint, for flute and tape). Internationally acclaimed pianist Stephen Hough will return to Tippet Rise to conclude the first week’s schedule on July 13 with a deeply thoughtful and virtuosic program of works by Bach, Chopin, Busoni, and Liszt, as well as his own Sonata No. 4 (Vida Breve). Also returning to Tippet Rise is the St. Lawrence String Quartet, whose program on July 19 will combine quartets by Haydn with Latin-tinged contemporary works by Jonathan Berger and Osvaldo Golijov. The following day, members of the quartet will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, and Prokofiev, including a Golijov arrangement of Beethoven bagatelles. Pianist and composer Julien Brocal, who received the 2018 Newcomer of the Year Award from BBC Music Magazine, will return to Tippet Rise on July 20 to perform the world premiere of three of his own compositions – Reflections, Into the Wild, and Snowing on the Moon—as well as two of Chopin’s Ballades and works by Bach and the distinguished nature-inspired Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks. Pianist Aristo Sham made a stir internationally in 2017 by winning prizes at the Verbier Festival and the Clara Haskil, Saint-Priest, and Viotti international piano competitions. On August 2, he will play a Romantic recital with works by Schumann and Brahms, followed the next day by a performance with cellist Gabriel Cabezas and violinist Katie Hyun in works by Haydn and Mendelssohn. The season’s third week will reach its climax on August 3 with an all-John Luther Adams program featuring the JACK Quartet, including the world premiere of the Quartet No. 5.
Week four of the season will be a mini-residency for pianist Roman Rabinovich, violinist Paul Huang, and the Escher String Quartet. Their wide-ranging programs will span repertoire from Bach, Schubert, Brahms, Dvořák, and SaintSaëns to György Ligeti’s trailblazing 1951-53 Musica ricercata. Celebrated pianist Behzod Abduraimov will make his Tippet Rise debut on August 16 in a concert of music by Liszt and Mussorgsky, including Liszt’s transcription of Wagner’s Liebestod. On August 17, the Rolston String Quartet will perform works by Haydn and Debussy in the morning, followed by an evening performance by pianist Jenny Chen. A rising star who has performed annually at Tippet Rise since the 2016 inaugural season, she will appear at the art center this year after making her Carnegie Hall debut, playing an ambitious selection of pieces by Chopin and Beethoven. A special “festival weekend” on August 23 – 25 will feature the art center’s Artistic Advisor, pianist Pedja Muzijevic, joined by seven musicians in residence. They are acclaimed violinist Benjamin Beilman; violinist Jennifer Frautschi, a two-time Grammy nominee and Avery Fisher career grant recipient; violists Ayane Kozasa and Nathan Schram from the Aizuri and Attacca quartets, respectively; cellist Sæunn Thorsteinsdóttir; oboist James Austin Smith; and bassist Anthony Manzo. They will join forces for five concerts, each sixty minutes long, with solo and chamber music by Telemann, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, Dohnányi, Berio, and Reich. Tippet Rise will close the concert season by welcoming members of Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. These rising young talents will showcase pieces by Boccherini, Kodály, and Brahms on September 6, and by Mozart, Paul Wiancko, Alexandra Gardner, and David Bruce on September 7. Piano duo Anderson & Roe will perform the last concert of the season with a program of Mozart, Stravinsky, Piazzolla, and Paul Schoenfield, along with the duo’s arrangements of the ballet music from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice and Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story Suite and their own Hallelujah Variations (Variations on a Theme by Leonard Cohen). Ticketing Information Tickets for the season’s performances will be available through a randomized drawing, for which registration via the Tippet Rise website is required. The registration period opens at 10 AM Mountain Time on Wednesday, February 20th and closes on Monday, March 11 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time. 98-foot-long, 16-foot-tall, acoustically rich sculptural structure designed by the innovative Ensamble Studio. Pre-concert lectures are offered at the Tiara, a 100-seat outdoor acoustic shell, and at Stillwater cabin, a gathering and rehearsal space. In addition to regularly scheduled programs, two family concerts especially designed for younger audiences will also be presented, with details to be announced at a later date.
A New Gathering Space Opens at Tippet Rise Summer 2019 will feature the inauguration of a new 1,900-square-foot pavilion at the art center designed by the world-renowned architect Francis Kéré. Named Xylem to evoke the vital internal layers of a tree’s living structure, the pavilion was inspired by the traditional togunas of the Dogon culture of Mali—sacred shelters with wooden pillars and layered roofs of wood and millet straw, which protect from the sun and provide ventilation for the space. Xylem is being constructed of locally and sustainably sourced ponderosa and lodgepole pine and features a canopy of vertical logs above the seating areas to create both shelter and a play of light and shadow. In keeping with the educational mission of Tippet Rise, the Tippet Rise Fund of the Sidney E. Frank Foundation is supporting Kéré in his work to build environmentally sustainable and climatically appropriate schools in West Africa. Tippet Rise is funding the construction of the Naaba Belem Goumma Secondary School, a new school the architect has designed in his birthplace, the village of Gando in Burkina Faso. Sculpture Tours at Tippet Rise Tippet Rise is anchored in the belief that art, music, architecture, and nature are inextricably linked in the human experience, each making the others more powerful. In addition to its music program, the art center presents large-scale sculptures and other works by some of the world’s foremost artists and architects. Tippet Rise will reopen to the public on Friday, July 5, 2019, one week before the start of the summer music series, for tours of its monumental outdoor sculptures on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Concerts and van tours are priced at $10; free to those 21 and under. Hiking and biking at the art center are free for everyone. Prior registration via the website is required for all visitors, available beginning March 13 at 8:00 AM Mountain Time. Dining at Tippet Rise For concert ticket holders, dinner will be available for purchase before each evening’s performance, provided by chefs Nick Goldman and Wendi Reed of Wild Flower on the Rise. Sandwiches, snacks, desserts, and drinks are also available for purchase on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Dining takes place in Will’s Shed, a pavilion adjacent to the Olivier Music Barn. Getting to the Art Center Located in Stillwater County, Tippet Rise is approximately one hour southwest of Billings, two hours southeast of Bozeman, and two-and-a-half hours north of Yellowstone National Park.
