Of all sources of Oriental herb tea, the part of plant that is most widely used is the roots. Roots are also widely used as medicinal herbs. Nutrients are concentrated in roots. Perennial herbs, in particular, get through winter by storing nutrients in their roots. For this reason, the koreans long ago believed that roots were rich in nutrients beneficial for the hunan body.
