Wendover Youth Centre Market Stall
Last year was a difficult year for all of us in the community. At the Youth Centre throughout the year we focused on providing activities for young people and connecting with the local community through running a pen pal scheme and foodbank donation week.
To finish the year, we were invited to run a charity stall at the Wendover local produce market on 19 December. On the stall we promoted our youth activities and sold homemade cakes which were made by the young people who attend the Youth Centre. Young people from the Youth Club volunteered on the stall all morning and ran a guess how many sweets in a jar competition. It was great to be able to interact with the community and was a very successful morning with all the cakes being sold.
We would like to thank the Wendover Parish Council, all the young people and families involved in making cakes, the young leaders who volunteered on the stall and the community for buying the cakes and donating towards the Centre. In total we raised just over £100 which is fantastic and will go towards a new sign for the Centre that young people will help design.
This year Wendover Youth Centre will continue to work to support the young people and community of Wendover. If you have any questions or queries about the Youth Centre and the activities we run then please email peter@wendoveryouth.co.uk.
