Give your Children Essential Skills for Life! Our local Stagecoach Principals, Mandy (St Albans) and Liz (Harpenden) have been involved in local amateur theatre since they were young girls, and their love of performing had gifted them creative courage to pursue their roles as airline crew and cruise ship staff once they graduated from university. But there is no need to have an ounce of stage or travel ambition to get involved with the performance arts classes which they now run every weekend during term time. The professional teams of teachers at Stagecoach St Albans and Stagecoach Harpenden will lead your children through endless activities, dance routines, songs and creative exercises to ignite their passion for the arts. All you need to do is sign up for a

6

two-week trial at the beginning of any academic term and let the fun begin! All coaches are DBS-checked, experts in their field and have a burning desire to pass on their knowledge in all three disciplines: singing, acting and dancing. The sessions run for three hours for 7-16 year old students and 90 minutes for 4 -7 year olds. Mandy and Liz still love to support local theatre groups and are keen to pass on any performance opportunities to their students, so there’s always a chance to get involved and feed any talent that needs channelling. Don’t delay… enrol today as places are limited and you wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity of a lifetime to give your children essential skills for life!

How to reduce heat loss from your home - ‘The fabric first approach’ We all know that we are being asked to to identify areas of excessive heat loss in your on the way to creating an eco-friendly do ‘our bit’ in being more eco-friendly. home building, using thermographic equipment is a How can we achieve this in our homes? A family asked EcoTiffin to do just that and after enlisting their help, they commented: “EcoTiffin saved us 37% in energy bills whilst increasing our square footage by 35%, giving us a warm and welcoming home.” Moisture in brickwork is the worst possible ingredient to have in your property and every effort should be made to prevent the ingress of moisture. Moisture in the brickwork reduces the bricks thermal capacity to retain heat and it has a chilling effect like a fridge on your home. Solid brick walls are by far the worst. Remember; wet walls are cold walls! The fabric first approach is essential when improving insulation to roofs, walls, floors and windows which are just some of the ways of reducing heat-loss. The use of thermography (thermal imaging) is an exciting and relatively new application in the building world. If you want

8

good place to start.

Robert Tiffin (descendant of the original family) and highly respected building expert and Quantity Surveyor, has seen a rise in the number of families wanting to make their homes work more efficiently. Evidence from thermograms help to provide much of the data to substantiate Robert’s bespoke reports for each property in “seeing the unseen”. To the trained eye, the results can reveal important information enabling a clear diagnosis. Homeowners can look forward to maximising their comfort to a warm, cosy and cost effective, healthier environment for themselves and their families.

Finally Life Changing for Women! Ladies, why should you be wearing uncomfortable bras? Over the last 50 years it has been impossible to get a stylish yet comfortable bra, until No.1 Bra! No.1 Bra is the only brand worldwide where the underwire is SHAPED AWAY FROM THE BREAST TISSUE. Meaning, it never digs into you, causes any pain, and is supportive. Once you have tried one, you will never wear another bra again! No.1 Bra shop is based in Wheathampstead. If you’d like to have a personal fitting, please call to book an appointment, so we can find the right size and style bra for you. Sizes A-HH and 28-44 are available. After a lot of testing and trials the No.1 Bra was born. No.1 Bra has granted patents in the UK, USA and throughout Europe for the new collection which highlights how innovative No.1 Bra really is! Not only have No.1 changed the design of everyday underwired bras they have recently launched a No Bounce Bra, which really does stop bouncing boobs! Have you ever run down the road holding your boobs? Many girls and ladies are

reluctant to be active due to feeling self-conscious, uncomfortable and in pain. The ‘No Bounce’ Active Bra is for every woman. Tested by professional Casey Stoney, former Manchester United Ladies football coach and her players. Mums, daughters, nannas, sisters, schoolgirls, this will be for you. Whether you are a horse rider, enjoy Zumba, run or simply want to go for a walk with the dog, this bra will change the way you feel forever. The No Bounce Bra is proven to significantly reduce bust movement, while still separating and holding your bust in the right place. Gone are the days of being squashed and flattened by a badly fitting sports bra. Get active this New Year, take up that hobby you’ve always wanted to and have the freedom to move!
