It’s also festival month, so we’ve included a double page spread of some of the local events taking place; the new St Albans Roman Festival, the Film Festival and the Folk Festival to name but a few. So if you’ve ever fancied dressing up as a Roman, now’s your chance, it promises to be festival fun for everyone! If you run your own business, we’d love to include you, we offer a helpful, friendly service, so just give us a call. The magazines are monthly, if you don’t receive one, pick up a copy in town or read them on our social media pages. Don’t forget to mention harpenden NOW when calling our advertisers.

Insideoutrefurb your local building and refurbishment company Celebrating 20 years serving Harpenden and the surrounding areas we have gained a vast amount of knowledge in every aspect of the building industry. Each project is individual, so we work closely with our clients to achieve perfection and satisfaction. Over the next 3 months we will be showcasing a build/ refurbishment project currently underway for a client in Harpenden. Read about the progress of this project in this magazine or by visiting www.theNOWmagazines.com or follow us on Instagram: @insideoutrefurbltd for weekly updates.
It’s February 19 and the project is just starting.
Setting out the structure correctly is of huge importance, we laser level the whole lot.
Always a talking point when the back end of the house comes out!
There was a lot to dig out on this one, 30 grab lorries of soil taken away for recycling.
Block and beam floors are a fast way to a safe site, the perfect platform to build up from.
New cavity walls start to take shape with large openings for sliding doors.
After much concrete the footings are in.
It’s March and the sun’s out, keeping the project on track.
Early April and we are up to the first lift, the client is happy and so am I. Great work guys!
