Welcome to March While out delivering the magazines last month, we were so pleased when people took the time to tell us how much they appreciated the magazines, and being able to find the local businesses they needed without having to go on-line. As always we have a good mix of local trades and businesses, so whatever you need make sure harpenden NOW is the first place you look! If you run your own business, and are interested in advertising with us, please get in touch, we offer a helpful, friendly service, working hard to make the magazines the best they can be. They’re monthly and if you don’t have a copy handy, you can always find them on Twitter, Facebook or our website.

Scalp Micropigmentation / Tattooing with Jane Elizabeth Restores your confidence after hair loss Tiny dots of pigment are delicately tattooed on to your scalp to create the impression of much thicker hair. Suitable for men and women and a wide range of hair loss conditions. Why choose Scalp Micropigmentation? √ Incredibly realistic results √ Long lasting – up to 5 years √ Existing follicles are not damaged √ Safe, with minimal discomfort Please get in touch for a free, no-obligation consultation in my private treatment room. Conveniently based in Bedfordshire.

Scalp Micropigmentation / Tattooing for Hair Loss in Men and Women Scalp what? That sounds a bit strange. But I bet you know someone who would benefit from this safe, effective treatment, so please read on! Scalp Micropigmentation helps you regain your confidence if thinning hair is upsetting you.

Does this sound familiar? ‘Hair loss took over all aspects of my life. Avoiding mirrors, girls' get togethers, being in family photos and dates with my husband. After tattooing I’ve fallen in love with my hair again!’ Alexandra

So, what exactly is Scalp Micropigmentation? The treatment involves delicately tattooing tiny dots of pigment on the scalp. These look like normal hair follicles. They create an incredibly realistic illusion of much thicker hair. Existing hair follicles are not damaged, and the procedure does not stop any new hairs from re-growing. The dots won’t wash off and last up to 5 years. This confidence boosting treatment can be used for baldness and alopecia in women and men and to cover scars (for example burns and scars from hair grafts). ‘I have struggled with how I felt about my hair for a long time but Jane was so kind and calm it really helped me have faith in the treatment. The results are amazing, and I can finally feel more confident and not have to worry about the huge ritual of hiding my hair loss.’ Nat I am conveniently located in Bedfordshire and offer free, no-obligation consultations in my private treatment room. Please do get in touch to learn more. Before

Rumpelstiltskin The Snail of Destiny 21st March 2.30pm Poor Polly Buckwheat, the Miller's daughter, is in a bit of a pickle. If she doesn't turn a roomful of straw into gold by morning, the greedy King will turn a bit nasty. But should she accept the help of an eccentric dwarf who mysteriously appears in her prison cell? Of all the fairytale characters, Rumpelstiltskin has got to be the most mixed up. He is helpful yet demanding; secretive yet nosy; short yet owning a name as long as his beard. Connecting Harpenden Created by a group of representatives from local charities, supported by Harpenden Trust and the locality budget of County Councillor Teresa Heritage. “Connecting Harpenden” aims to provide a signpost to the services, clubs and societies available to Harpenden residents. It might be a family member, friend or new neighbour needs to find out what’s available, or maybe your circumstances have changed, and you need to find out what support is available to help. It doesn’t include tradespeople or retailers and hasn’t been set up to replace other sources of information, but rather to act as an initial port of call. www.connectingharpenden.org.uk
