Cha simply means Tea, Bangladesh has its own signature aromatic tea which we make every day using freshly ground spices. Nasta simply means, breakfast, lunch, snacks, different types of small street food. We are proud to share with you our Bangladeshi heritage, offering authentic, homemade, Bangladeshi food. The dishes are all inspired by our childhood, and the recipes have been passed down the generations, which is why we are so excited and passionate to bring this to St Albans and share it with you all. We promise you won’t be disappointed. What started off as a idea during the initial lockdown became reality very quickly, with thanks to the team that helped us put the place together in
such a short period of time. That team consisted of friends and family, and without our brother Hamid and his team from K Construction doing our building work and our dear friend Rahena running around helping us put the interior together we would not be where we are today. Our outdoor seating building was designed to help transport you back to Bangladesh, with the tinned decor, wooden framework, pictures of Bangladesh and of course not forgetting that all important Rickshaw that we have in our courtyard. Everyone that you see working with us is family and we truly are one unit trying to share with you our passion for food and our culture. You will be greeted with a big smile by Bushra (Abdul’s wife) everyday. She is the face of Cha & Nasta and will ensure you get everything you want. We will continue to bring you new dishes as there are so many varieties, and hope to introduce more fish based dishes, as that’s what Bangladesh is mainly known for.
