Walking helps you look and feel good, maintain a healthy weight, strengthen bones and muscles, and sleep better. Hertfordshire Health Walks are sociable, a great way to explore your neighbourhood and free. There are six regular, weekly walks in St Albans and the surrounding area, including a gentle ‘First Steps’ walk around Highfield Park and weekend walking opportunities for those seeking a longer, brisker walk. Everyone is welcome, simply turn up and if it’s your first walk please arrive 10 minutes early to complete a New Walker Form, or register online. They are also looking for volunteers to take the snack trolley round the hospital between Monday and Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4.30pm.
