weekend planning guide At a Women of Faith Event, Some of the Most Important Women in the Arena Are Our Group Leaders
Dear Friend, The overwhelming majority of women who attend Women of Faith events come in groups. That makes our Group Leaders—women like you who step up to help others—extremely important. Some in your group may indicate first-time decisions for Christ at the event (many do!). From what we hear, most women walk out of the arena just a little different than they were when they came…all because they were part of your group. What Group Leaders do is a ministry. Because of your commitment, women will experience an Over the Top weekend. They’ll take a much-needed break from their everyday lives and return refreshed, relaxed, and renewed. Your Planning Guide is Here! The following pages have all the information you need to be a successful Group Leader. We’ve also provided a Local Event Representative who is willing and able to help you. Contact her at localrep@womenoffaith.com. Perks of Bringing a Group… • Groups of 10 or more save $10 per person. • Groups of 25 receive a FREE registration (26th seat is free; groups of 50 receive 2 free seats; and so on). • Groups of 25 or more are eligible for our Buy Now, Pay Later plan. • Register at least 50, and you’ve just earned an All-Expense-Paid Trip to Dallas for a very special Premiere event just for VIP Group Leaders. Two Options Option A: Groups of 25 or more use our Buy Now, Pay Later Agreement* to secure seats now, but delay payment until 10 weeks before the event. The best way to have a terrific group is to invite everyone you know. Extend a personal invitation to join your group. Then remind them via email, posters, skits, announcements… This is the perfect year to go Over the Top with your promotional ideas! • Tell everyone you know, even men—they may know someone who’d be interested. • Show the Preview Video every chance you get • Think outside your normal group “box”—invite women from your office, hair salon, gym, day care… • Challenge women to bring a friend as an outreach opportunity. It’s a great way to extend your ministry. Women of Faith events are a fun, easy way to introduce someone to the message of God’s love and grace. • Hang up posters (inside the stalls of the women’s restroom, maybe?), pass out flyers, and place announcements in newsletters and worship folders. • Do you blog? Talk up your group there—and remember to provide contact information. • Don’t do it all yourself—get everyone else talking about Over the Top, too! • Mark November 15, 2009 on your calendar. hold a preview event Live, in Person A heartfelt testimonial from someone who has been to a Women of Faith event is a great way to persuade others they need to come. Be sure to include where and when group members can sign up. Now on Video If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video must be worth a million! Get women interested by showing the Preview Video (included) at your church service, Bible study, or other events. Set up a table anywhere people gather and have the video playing there. Remember to have plenty of flyers on hand— and a sign-up sheet for group members! Hot Off the Press Group Flyer/Poster: Customize by adding your name, contact information, and group price. Half Page Black and White Flyer: An inexpensive way to promote the event; makes a great program insert, bag stuffer, or handout.
