Homosexual Marriage: A Sacrilege of the God-Ordained Marriage Covenant

As authentic, Biblebelieving Christians, we are called to win others to our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, Acts 1:8; 26:18, II Corinthians 5:17-21). We believe, as is taught in the Scriptures of truth, that our loving God wants “all” people to be “saved” (meaning to be “born again”) to a “new life” in CHRIST JESUS. Our God also desires that “all” people come to the “knowledge of the truth” in the Scriptures of truth (I Timothy 2:1-6). The word “all” in our Bible text certainly includes homosexuals and marxists. Subsequently, as followers of JESUS, we are not called to follow or lead others on a path of being militant or pugnacious toward others (including toward homosexuals).

Rather, following the example of our LORD JESUS, let us follow and teach others to walk on the path of God’s peace through faith in and obedience to JESUS CHRIST and His teachings (John 14:27; 16:33, Romans 5:1). Let us keep in mind that JESUS did not come to “destroy” the lives of others. Instead, JESUS came to “love” and “save” people from their sins and self-deceptions (Luke 9:52-56, John 8:31-36). JESUS, our example, came to save and help people, not to harm people. May we ponder the fact that, without the grace, mercy, and intervention of our loving God, you and I could be walking on a path of error and self-deception. Therefore, while not departing from the “mind” and compassion of CHRIST OUR LORD, let’s evaluate the following erroneous movements.

In Titus 1:15 the apostle Paul observed, “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.” What has happened to “change” and corrupt the minds and consciences of so many Americans in recent decades? Without a doubt the "new morality" and "sexual revolution" of the late twentieth century have profoundly shaped the thinking and lifestyles of many people and helped advance the efforts of many to normalize homosexuality in the twenty-first century. Likewise, the widespread use of pornography by millions of people, the rise of MTV and the production of a multitude of pro-fornication and pro-homosexuality Hollywood movies in recent decades have had a very real impact on shaping contemporary views about sex.

The results are observed throughout society. Addictions to pornography, alcohol abuse, drug abuse and gambling are widespread. Millions of innocent, defenseless, unborn babies have been murdered in America. Let us remember that our living God hates the shedding of “innocent blood” and will certainly hold our leaders and citizens accountable for this continuing holocaust of his innocent babies - Proverbs 6:16-19, Jeremiah 26:14-15. Almost half of all marriages end in divorce. Nearly 40% of all babies born in America are born to unwed mothers.

There are around 19 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases each year in America.

(1) “Co-habitation,” “trial marriages” and experimentation with various kinds of sexual immorality are common throughout our nation. Many University campuses in America have become cesspools of sexual immorality. There are many drunken parties. Profanity, arrogance and militant activism are common. Many have become indoctrination centers for marxism,

ethical nihilism, moral relativism, cultural relativism, revisionist history, etc… In the meantime, the Devil and his servants laugh as our youth become deceived and decadent. For without the true “knowledge” of the LORD, men and women degenerate into people who “…resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.” (II Timothy 3:7-8) It is no accident that pornography, sex outside of marriage (fornication), homosexuality and divorce are all now considered a normal part of American society. It was by design – John 10:10. It is also reported that even a large percentage of the Catholic priests and leaders are homosexuals and/or pedophiles. (2) Throughout the evolution of this moral decline in our nation, the people of the United States of America have become “desensitized” to sexual immorality. What in past centuries was regarded as “sin” and “decadence” is now openly celebrated and promoted throughout society. But have we taken the time to carefully consider the horrific, long-term consequences of these societal “changes?” Is the purpose of the “change” to corrupt or to bless? What will be the long-term consequences of the normalization of homosexuality and “homosexual marriage” in the United States? Do we even care?

I. What is homosexuality?

In WEBSTER’S NEW WORLD DICTIONARY homosexuality is defined as, “sexual desire for…[or] sexual relations between individuals of the same sex.” (3) II. Historical Development of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Social Movements A 1962 gay march held in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, according to some historians, marked the beginning of the modern gay rights movement…

The new social movements of the sixties, such as the Black Power and anti-Vietnam war movements in the US, the May 1968 insurrection in France, and Women's Liberation throughout the Western world, inspired some LGBT activists to become more radical,[22] and the Gay Liberation movement emerged towards the end of the decade. This new radicalism is often attributed to the Stonewall riots of 1969, when a group of transsexuals, lesbians, drag queens, and gay male patrons at a bar in New York resisted a police raid.[20] Immediately after Stonewall, such groups as the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and the Gay Activists' Alliance (GAA) were formed…” (4) III. Marxist ideology and the marxist agenda were major factors in the founding of the twentieth-century Homosexual Social Movements.

Were both marxist ideology and the marxist agenda major factors in the founding of the twentieth-century Homosexual Social Movements? Moreover, is the current LGBT Movement continuing to be influenced by marxists and marxism? An investigation of the history of LGBT organizations reveals involvement by marxists/communists in the founding, planning and directing of key organizations advancing the homosexual agenda. These include The Mattachine Society (Henry Hay); Gay Liberation Front (GLF Fabian Socialists); Gay Activists' Alliance (GAA) and National Organization of Women (NOW - Betty Friedan). In addition, there has been significant infiltration and financial support of LGBT organizations by marxists/communists. Even today, there continues to be a very real influence of the leftists and cultural marxism in the LGBT agenda. (5) (6) Moreover, all Americans, including homosexuals, already have civil rights by means of the supreme law of the land – the Constitution of the United States. Why do

homosexuals want more rights than the rest of us? From our perspective, by petitioning for additional rights, homosexuals are, in essence, creating a new category of “special civil rights” not found in the Constitution. What is the real motive of the protests?

Many homosexuals may be unaware that they are being used as mere pawns to help advance the work of the marxists/communists of creating a “classless” society and establishing a new, global, marxist “common moral code” in the United States. (7) (8) Marxists/communists seek to use the “homosexual marriage” agenda to: 1) Get Americans to accept homosexuality and thereby help extinguish traditional moral values.

2) It is being used to undermine and destroy the traditional family unit (father, mother, child/children). 3) Recruit lesbians to support the Feminist Movement because it has been very successful in making women discontent with heterosexual marriage and motherhood. (9) 4) A means of decreasing population growth which is consistent with Marxist ideology (example: Communist China’s “one child policy”) As the marxist/communist leader Vladimir Lenin declared, “The best revolutionary is a youth devoid of morals.” (10) Let’s consider evidences of the early infiltration of the LGBT movement by marxists, communists and Fabian socialists for the purpose of forming a “parallel political movement” to advance a “cultural revolution” for marxism in the United States. Notice carefully that according to this article, “Most of the Mattachine founders were communists.” We read, “The Mattachine Society, founded in 1950, was one of the earliest homophile (gay rights) organizations in the United States, probably second only to Chicago's Society for Human Rights. Harry Hay and a group of Los Angeles male friends formed the group to protect and improve the rights of gay men. Because of concerns for secrecy and the founders' left-wing ideology, they adopted the cell organization being used by the Communist Party of the United States (CPUSA). In the anti-Communist atmosphere of the 1950s, the Society's growing membership replaced the group's early Communist model with a more traditional ameliorative civil rights leadership style and programme. Then, as branches formed in other cities, the Society splintered in regional groups by 1961…” “…Harry Hay conceived of the idea of a gay activist group in 1948. After signing a petition for Progressive Party presidential candidate Henry A. Wallace, Hay spoke with other gay men at a party about forming a gay support organization for him called "Bachelors for Wallace".[1] Encouraged by the response he received, Hay wrote the organizing principles that night, a document he referred to as "The Call".[2] However, the men who had been interested at the party were less than enthusiastic the following morning.[1] Over the next two years, Hay refined his idea, finally conceiving of an "international...fraternal order" to serve as "a service and welfare organization devoted to the protection and improvement of Society's Androgynous Minority"...[3] “…Most of the Mattachine founders were communists…” “…Following the Jennings trial, the group expanded rapidly, with founders estimating membership in California by May 1953 at over 2,000 with as many as 100 people joining a typical discussion group.” (11) Likewise, notice the involvement of the London School of Economics (Fabian socialists) in the early years of the organization known as the Gay Liberation Front. We observe, “In the United Kingdom the GLF had its first meeting in the basement of the London School of Economics on 13 October 1970. Bob Mellors and Aubrey Walter had seen the effect of the GLF in the United States and created a parallel movement based on revolutionary politics and alternative lifestyle.[33] By 1971, the UK GLF was recognized as a political movement in the national press, holding weekly meetings of 200 to 300

people.[34] The GLF Manifesto was published, and a series of high-profile direct actions, were carried out…” [35] (12) Furthermore, we observe the very real influence of marxism within the Feminist movement in the twentieth-century. For example, we know that Betty Friedan (1921-2006), founder of the National Organization for Women (NOW), was a marxist and that she worked closely with other marxists (including CPUSA members) for the “transformation” of society. In like manner, note the anti-traditional family and anti-capitalism teachings found in Lesbian Feminism. We read, “…Lesbian feminism, which was most influential from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, encouraged women to direct their energies toward other women rather than men, and advocated lesbianism as the logical result of feminism…”[54] “…Nevertheless, if one key theme could be isolated it would be an analysis of heterosexuality as an institution.[5] Lesbian feminist texts work to denaturalise heterosexuality and, based on this denaturalization, to explore heterosexuality's "roots" in institutions such as patriarchy, capitalism and colonialism.

Additionally, lesbian feminism advocates lesbianism as a rational result of alienation and dissatisfaction with these institutions.” (13) Another concern is that the left may try to use the “homosexual orientation” laws or the “homosexual marriage” laws as a means to incite conflict and/or crisis. Unlike biblical Christianity, marxism does not seek peace with all people (Hebrews 12:14).

Rather, marxists purpose to create agitation, conflicts and crisis in order to help their companions seize power, overthrow capitalism and advance a “marxist revolution” within the nation. The homosexual marriage agenda is currently a very divisive issue among the American people. Many feel very strongly that it is a desecration of the sacred institution of marriage. The left knows this and may exploit the homosexual agenda for their own purposes. David Horowitz commented, “An SDS [marxist] radical once wrote, “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.” In other words the cause – whether inner city blacks or women [or homosexual marriage] – is never the real cause, but only an occasion to advance the real cause which is the accumulation of power to make the revolution. That was the all consuming focus of Alinsky and his radicals.” (14) An additional factor is that the growth of the LGBT social movements is very much interrelated to the rise of and widespread propagation of the “[marxist led] sexual revolution” and “[marxist led] new morality” of the twentieth century. Emerging from the “[marxist led] sexual revolution" of the late twentieth century was the propagation of the view that lesbianism and sodomy are "morally acceptable alternative lifestyles." During the decades that followed, lesbianism and sodomy have been rationalized, normalized and promoted in television and radio talk shows; in sex education classes; in sex education books; by Hollywood actors; in contemporary music lyrics; in newspapers and magazines; in Hollywood movies; by journalists, judges, lawyers, psychologists, religious leaders and political leaders who are homosexuals and/or are pro-homosexuality. In like manner, homosexual researchers, lobbyists and media people have promoted the “gay gene theory” in order to justify homosexual lust and conduct.

Simultaneously, we have witnessed, first, the rise of the "homosexual rights" movement and then afterward, the rise of the movement to establish “homosexual marriage” in the courts and in the society as a whole. In order to accomplish this agenda, there have been widespread efforts to overthrow the traditional, Christian definition of marriage by pro-homosexuality

lawyers and judges in the courts and in all areas of society. This includes the recent overthrow of the 1996 “Defense of Marriage Act” (DOMA federal law) in 2011 by the Obama administration and subsequently in court by the U. S. Supreme Court in 2013 in United States v. Windsor.

During recent years, there have been many political marches and rallies led by lesbians and homosexuals (“sodomites” is the biblical term) with the aim of establishing homosexual conduct and “homosexual marriage” as protected, special civil rights by law.

IV. What is the LORD’s view of homosexuality as revealed in the HOLY BIBLE? Tragically, proponents of the "sexual [amorality] revolution;" the “homosexual [special] rights movement;” and the “homosexual marriage” movement somehow forgot to consult the most knowledgeable, qualified expert on the subject of human sexuality. His name is Jehovah (YHWH). Since He designed mankind, it would seem very sensible for us to obtain God's counsel about sex. But what would happen if the LORD (YHWH) stepped up to a microphone today and declared His view of homosexuality to the American people via internet and television? Would anyone really want to listen to God's perspective about this issue?

Would God Himself be ignored, vilified, marginalized or labeled an “extremist,” “homophobe” and/or a “religious fanatic?”

Thankfully, God has already communicated His view about homosexuality. Our Creator’s perspective regarding lesbianism and sodomy is discovered in His book known as the Holy Bible. In II Timothy 3:16 we discover that, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God,…"

God’s counsels and opinions are revealed in His eternal Word – the Holy Bible. God’s counsels are always true, righteous and trustworthy (Matthew 4:4, John 17:17). God’s counsels are based on His righteous character and His righteous will for our lives. They are revealed in His eternal laws found in the Holy Scriptures (Psalm 119, Romans 6-12, I Thessalonians 4:1-7). Moreover, in the Scriptures we learn that every person will one day give an account to this same living LORD (YHWH) after this life at the time of final judgment.

See John 5:28-29, Acts 17:30-31, II Corinthians 5:9-11, Hebrews 9:27 and Revelation 20:1115.Therefore, it is essential that we seek to understand what Jehovah has said about the subjects of marriage and homosexuality in the Scriptures of truth. What does God say about these matters in the Holy Bible?

I want to assure you that I love my country and all those who live here. I’m against both the mistreatment of homosexuals and the mistreatment of biblical Christians.

Moreover, many of us are very grieved about what is presently happening in our nation. If the U.S.A. becomes morally corrupted, spiritually bankrupt, declines or is defeated by the Devil and his servants (John 10:10), the consequences of the fall of our nation will greatly impact all who live here. As a biblical Christian, I’m very concerned about the direction that our nation is moving and the actions of many of our nation’s current leaders and judges. Many of you are already familiar with what happened to the five pastors in Houston, Texas in September and October of 2014. Yet, there is so much more that is happening in our nation that is greatly grieving our living God. Proverbs 14:34 warns, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Moreover, as genuine Christians, we also should be greatly grieved over that which greatly grieves our LORD JESUS. We should be for what our God is for and against what our God is against as revealed in His Word – the Holy Bible. We are to be both for obedience to God’s commands and against sin and disobedience to God’s Word. Let’s

make it clear. The true and living God of Israel is against sodomy and lesbianism. See Leviticus 18:22-30, I Kings 15:11-12, Romans 1:18-32, I Corinthians 6:9-11, Colossians 3:5-6, I Timothy 1:9-10, II Peter 2:5-8 and Revelation 21:8. Homosexuality is regarded as sin and evil in the sight of God as revealed in the Holy Bible. Homosexuality is referred to in the Scriptures of truth as, an “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22), “vile affections” (Romans 1:26), “fornication” (Romans 1:29, Jude 7), “uncleanness” (Romans 1:24), “against nature” (Romans 1:26), “error” (Romans 1:27), “ungodly” (II Peter 2:6), “wicked(ly)” (Genesis 19:7) and “iniquity” (Genesis 19:15). The Scriptures clearly indicate that homosexuality, also known as “the spirit of whoredoms” (fornication), is inspired and incited by unclean, fallen angels for the purpose of destroying the souls of people – Hosea 4:6-14, 5:4-6, John 10:10, Jude 6-7. This interconnection of homosexuality with demonic spirits is clearly demonstrated by the fact that most homosexuals have multiple sex partners.

As for “gay marriage” and “lesbian marriage,” there is no such thing as a “homosexual marriage” recognized, honored or advocated anywhere in the Holy Bible or in any authentic Christian church throughout church history. It should be noted that “gay churches” are counterfeit churches. In the Scriptures marriage is identified as a covenant between one man and one woman before God with witnesses (Matthew 19:1-6, Mark 10:112, Luke 16:18, I Corinthians 7). The only kind of marriage recognized by our LORD JESUS CHRIST in the Holy Scriptures is between one woman and one man (heterosexual). See Matthew 19:1-6 and Mark 10:1-12. Notice the words “male and female” (Matthew 19:4, Mark 10:6) and “a man” and “his wife” (Matthew 19:5, Mark 10:7) used by CHRIST JESUS to describe genuine marriage. Also, in the Scriptures a family includes a man and a woman and a child or children (Gen. 4:1-2, Matt. 1:20-21).

Whereas, homosexuality is both a perversion and a rebellion against the LORD'S design for men, women, marriage and the family. In the New Testament Scriptures we find that JESUS quoted from Genesis chapter two in the Hebrew Scriptures as the basis of His teachings regarding marriage (Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-8). In Genesis chapter two we find that the LORD God created the first man and the first woman. His name was Adam and her name was Eve. Eve was created to be a companion and helper to Adam (Genesis 2:18-24). The first woman was created by God to be a wife and mother. Eve was Adam's soul mate, lover and helper. She wasn't created to despise and reject Adam. Unlike contemporary lesbians, Eve accepted her God-given, created purpose to be a wife to Adam and a mother to their children.

Moreover, Jesus based his teachings about marriage and divorce on this same Genesis chapter two model of the heterosexual marriage of Adam and Eve (Matthew 19:1-6).

Notice that God created one woman (Eve) for the purpose of being the wife, companion and helper of one man (Adam) in a heterosexual marriage. God didn't create a man to be Adam's marriage partner and soul mate. Likewise, God didn't create a woman to be Eve's marriage partner and life companion. The LORD didn't create wives for Adam. He created one wife. The LORD didn't have husbands for Eve. God created Eve to be the wife of one husband. *Deviations from the LORD's model of marriage presented in Genesis chapter two are in reality perversions and rebellion against God's original purpose for marriage and the family.

In Hebrews 13:4 God clearly warns, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers (also translated “fornicators” from the Greek word πορνους) and adulterers God will judge.” Notice that in this passage “fornicators” are placed in the same category as “adulterers.” Having previously mentioned that homosexual sex is a kind of “fornication,” our LORD is making it very clear in this Scripture text that He will personally judge adulterers and homosexuals for their vile sexual conduct.

Tragically, Homosexuality is not only a sin against God; it is a judgment from God (Romans 1:18-32). In Romans 1:26 the apostle Paul declared, "For this cause God gave them

up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet (due)." Who gave these people up to the vile affections? God did. The act of giving them up was an act of God's judgment. The cause of this judgment from the LORD of verse twenty-six is found in the context of verses eighteen through twenty-five. There are eight reasons: 1) They were guilty of changing the truth of God into a lie (1:25). 2) They were suppressing the truth in unrighteousness (1:18). 3) They chose not to glorify God (1:21) 4) They were unthankful (1:21). 5) They became vain in their imaginations (1:21). 6) Their foolish heart was darkened (1:21).

7) They professed to be wise, as many homosexuals do, but in reality they had become fools (1:22). 8) They engaged in idolatry (1:23). What about contemporary self-worship?

Regarding Romans 1:26-27, John Witmer pointed out in The Bible Knowledge Commentary, "The words translated women and men in these verses are the sexual words "females" and "males". Contemporary homosexuals insist that these verses mean that it is perverse for a heterosexual male or female to engage in homosexual relations but it is not perverse for a homosexual male or female to do so since homosexuality is such a person's natural preference. This is strained exegesis unsupported by the Bible. The only natural sexual relationship the Bible recognizes is a heterosexual one (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6) within marriage. All homosexual relations constitute sexual perversion and are subject to God's judgment. Such lustful and indecent acts have within them the seeds of punishment (due penalty)." (15) In essence, the aim of the homosexual agenda is to establish what has always been regarded as a moral wrong (homosexuality) throughout the history of Christianity and Judaism, as a special, inalienable, civil right by law. But since when is it morally right to make a moral wrong a civil right by law? In Leviticus chapter 18 we find the LORD warning God’s people not to practice the various kinds of sexual immorality which were commonly practiced in the pagan, idolatrous, gentile nations in the ancient world. In this Bible text the LORD commanded not to practice specific kinds of sexual immorality. The list includes: 1) incest 2) adultery 3) pedophilia 4) homosexuality and 5) beastiality. The question arises that if the practice of homosexuality is now to be regarded as a special civil right by law, what would prevent those who practice incest, adultery, pedophilia or beastiality to likewise demand that each of the kinds of sexual immorality which they practice now be protected as a special civil right by law? Could they not also claim that their genes made them have unnatural attractions to practice their chosen kinds of sexual immorality? On what basis should one kind of sexual immorality be selected as being more worthy to be protected as a special civil right by law than another kind of sexual immorality? Where does it end?

Regarding homosexuality the Family Research Council affirms, “Homosexuality Family Research Council believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed. It is by definition unnatural, and as such is associated with negative physical and psychological health effects. While the origins of same-sex attractions may be complex, there is no convincing evidence that a homosexual identity is ever something genetic or inborn. We oppose the vigorous efforts of homosexual activists to demand that homosexuality be accepted as equivalent to heterosexuality in law, in the media, and in schools. Attempts to join two men or two women in "marriage" constitute a radical redefinition and falsification of the institution, and FRC supports state and federal constitutional amendments to prevent such redefinition by courts or legislatures. Sympathy must be extended to those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attractions, and every effort should be made to assist such persons to overcome those attractions, as many already have.” (16) At the Family Research Council website http://www.frc.org/homosexuality a list of helpful publications about homosexual issues are available, These include:

What are the consequences of the affirmation, normalization, acceptance, tolerance, propagation and promotion of homosexuality in a nation?

In the United States we have known for some years now that militant lesbian and sodomite activists are actively lobbying likeminded judges, politicians, government officials, military commanders, professors, teachers, company executives, etc. to establish new, evil and ungodly laws and policies which advance the homosexual agenda. Homosexual activists have for decades strategically targeted major organizations and institutions within society for the goal of changing their positions regarding homosexuality. Due to the influence, legal threats and intimidations carried out by homosexuals, most of these organizations and institutions have changed their positions and policies concerning homosexuality. The only organizations that have not changed their views about homosexuality are authentic Christian churches, schools, colleges and ministries. This is why homosexuals (Romans 1:24-32) have focused their attacks on Bible-believing Christians, churches, schools, colleges and ministries. We’re still calling homosexuality what it truly is – FORNICATION AND VILE SIN! The implementation of these new laws and new policies in American society have resulted in persecution and intimidation against Bible-believing, faithful Christians who are standing for Jesus Christ’s definition of marriage between one man and one woman and against the sacrilege of marriage known as “homosexual marriage.”

Homosexuals aim to use the legal system (courts) to intimidate, censor and penalize Bible-believing Christians into silence and prevent us from proclaiming biblical truth concerning homosexuality. Examples of these bullying tactics and persecutions by homosexuals against Bible-believing Christians who believe that homosexuality is a sin and that a “homosexual wedding” is morally wrong are now common in many states in America. Let’s consider three of many examples: 1) Lawsuit against Barronelle Stutzman, a Christian owner of Arlene’s florist in the state of Washington for refusing to provide service for a homosexual wedding because of her Christian convictions. Barronelle is being sued by pro-homosexuality attorney general Bob Ferguson in Washington under new sexual orientation “anti-discrimination laws.”

There is concern that Ferguson “…has relentlessly pursued her personal and professional ruin because she will not celebrate same-sex marriage.” Barronnele is concerned that she may lose her business and home as a result of this new law being used to “discriminate” against her and her Christian beliefs. (18) 2) Recent Homosexual media smear attack campaign against Crystal O’Conner, Christian co-owner of Memories Pizza in Indiana for merely mentioning that their business would not cater same-sex weddings. The O’Conner family was forced to close their familyowned business due to “threats to harm or kill the family…” (19) 3) Lawsuit against Jack Phillips, Christian owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado for refusing to bake a cake to be used in a “homosexual wedding” for a homosexual couple. Phillips was forced to undergo “sensitivity training” and is now required to sell wedding cakes for homosexual weddings after losing the lawsuit. Concerning the Phillips case, Nicolle Martin of Alliance Defending Freedom observed, “They are turning people of faith into religious refugees…Is this the society that we want to live in – where people of faith are driven out of business?...Martin said it was “truly frightening” that Phillips will be forced to submit to quarterly reports to the government disclosing whether he

turned away any wedding cake business. “There will be some reporting requirements so that Jack can demonstrate that he doesn’t exercise his belief system anymore – that he has divested himself of his beliefs,” she said. He will also be required to create new policies and procedures for his staff.” Martin viewed it as “thought control.” (20) After reading these and other similar reports, God-fearing, Bible-believing Christians in America have valid reasons to be very concerned. There is no question that biblical Christianity and biblical Christians are currently under attack in the United States. But the primary question is WHY? Why is biblical Christianity presently being criminalized?

Why are Bible-believing Christians being deliberately falsely portrayed as “extremists” and targeted for vilification and persecution in the United States of America? Is this part of a larger agenda? This is precisely what occurred before the mass arrests and mass executions of Bible-believing Christians in the former Soviet Union of Stalin and before the “Cultural Revolution” of Mao Tse-Tung in communist China. In like manner, just as the Jews were hated, vilified and marginalized by the Nazi German government during the 1930’s, so now are biblical Christians despised by many of the ungodly of our generation. And this hatred toward us (inspired by the Devil himself) will only intensify as we draw closer to the return of our LORD JESUS. Commenting on the current war against Christianity by homosexuals, Bill O’Reilly noted in a recent Talking Points memo, “The war on Christianity getting even worse…No question that it is open season on Christians.” (21) To read about more documented stories of religious persecution against Christians in the United States see the book entitled God Less America: Real Stories From the Front Lines of the Attack on Traditional Values by Todd Starnes. (22) Regardless of the harm they cause to others, homosexuals seek to silence views which are in disagreement with their own. Homosexuals aim to change existing laws and establish new pro-homosexuality laws and policies. They appeal to likeminded legislators and judges who are willing to engage in legislative and judicial tyranny to advance the homosexual agenda. Their aim is to force their ungodly agenda [including homosexual marriages, homosexual families, special rights for homosexuals, homosexual "education" (indoctrination) in schools, new "hate crime speech" laws to wrongfully punish anyone who dares to speak out publicly against their sinful conduct] on the nation. In clear violation of the Tenth Amendment of the U. S. Constitution, their likeminded, pro-homosexuality judges are overthrowing and invalidating righteous state laws which were passed by the majority of voters in state elections for the purpose of upholding the Christian definition of marriage and family and prohibiting homosexual marriages. The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America clearly states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

(23) Whether we are considering: 1) the fact that homosexuality is being portrayed as a morally acceptable alternative lifestyle to many students in sex education classes in public schools and on college campuses 2) “homosexual marriage” being forced on the States by corrupted, pro-homosexuality judges 3) that cases of sex crimes carried out by homosexuals in the United States are routinely withheld from the public by prohomosexuality mainstream media sources 4) the lifting of the centuries old ban on homosexuals being allowed to serve in the U. S. military with the establishment of the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy passed by the U. S. Congress in 1993 with the approval of President Clinton 5) the suppression of teaching or discussing what the Bible teaches about homosexuality in the U. S. military, the corrupting consequences of the homosexual agenda in the United States are far reaching.

Tragically, the same demonic homosexual agenda that has been advanced in public schools and at universities for decades via homosexual influenced policies, sex education curriculum and classes, has also had a growing impact in the United States military. Tragically, by means of dropping the ban on allowing homosexuals in the military during the Clinton administration in 1993 and then years later the passing of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act of 2010” in the Democratic party controlled U. S. Senate as directed by the Obama Administration, the door has been opened for homosexuals to openly declare, express, practice and propagate their fornications in the U. S. armed forces. A little more than one year after this “change” in law, a Department of Defense (DOD) survey was released which clearly reveals that homosexual sexual assaults and rapes have increased and become a major problem in the United States military. (24) As reported in The Washington Times, during the fiscal year 2012, there were at least 26,000 cases of sexual assaults in the armed forces of the United States. At least 14,000 men were sexually assaulted while on duty in the U. S. military in 2012. At least 12,000 women were sexually assaulted while on duty in the U. S. military in 2012. Note that there were more men sexually assaulted while on duty than women in the armed forces in 2012. This means that male homosexuals were responsible for most of the sexual assaults which occurred in the United States military in 2012. (25) In fact, as reported by Peter Sprigg in “Homosexual Assaults in the Military,” since 1993, many homosexuals have been discharged from the United States armed forces due to their sexual assaults and rapes. (26) Thousands of male on male sexual assaults/rapes and even many female on female sexual assaults/rapes in the military clearly demonstrate that our armed forces are now loaded with many homosexual predators. I believe that the lifting of the ban on homosexuals being in the U. S. military and the later change of policy in 2010 was done deliberately in order to destroy the morality and morale of our servicemen and further weaken our military. At the same time homosexuality has increased in our armed forces, the number of suicides in the military has increased. Is this fact just a coincidence?

Early on the morning of 26 September, 1999, the dead body of thirteen year old Jesse Dirkhising, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, was found by police officers in Rogers, Arkansas.

Jesse Dirkhising, a seventh-grader, had been sodomized to death by two perverted, homosexual predators (David Don Carpenter and Joshua Macave Brown). Dirkhising had been repeatedly raped (sodomized) for several hours. (27) At the time of the Dirkhising murder, the pro-homosexuality bias among the mainstream media sources was beyond obvious. This horrific crime carried out by two evil sodomites went unreported by most of the mainstream news media in the United States. Why did they refuse to report the facts of this case to the people of America? Two reasons: 1) Because of their prohomosexuality bias and activism 2) Reporting the facts concerning the Dirkhising murder would hinder the advancement of the homosexual agenda in the United States. But, regardless of their efforts to keep this horrible crime unnoticed, the living God who judges people and nations noticed it.

This beyond evil crime that occurred in Arkansas sounds like something similar to what would have been reported in the ancient sister cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19). The sin of homosexuality had been tolerated and allowed to spread throughout these ancient cities for many years. The consequences were horrific. The

people became decadent, vile and violent. Homosexual predators were operating throughout the cities. Sex crimes were rampant. Conditions there became so vile that when two angels from the LORD (JHVH) went to visit Lot in Sodom, a mob of homosexuals showed up at Lot’s door wanting to rape (sodomize) the angels. The wickedness of these homosexuals so angered the living LORD (JHVH) God of Israel that in divine judgment He literally rained down “brimstone and fire” from Heaven on “…those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” (Genesis 19:24-25) In the New Testament Scriptures Jude wrote concerning this ancient, literal, historical event. Jude warned, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, GIVING THEMSELVES OVER TO FORNICATION, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (Jude 7) Are many people in the United States blindly following the evil works and wicked example of the homosexuals of Sodom and Gomorrah? Are many of our ungodly leaders and judges collaborating in the advancement of the wicked homosexual agenda and helping to “set up” our nation for destruction? While both deceiving and being deceived

by Satan, many leaders, executives and judges are determined to “transform” our nation into a cesspool of spiritual darkness and moral decadence. The deceived, pro-homosexuality leaders have also appointed many homosexuals to be judges and have appointed homosexuals to high levels of office in numerous agencies of the federal government. Tragically, these leaders are clueless regarding the horrific, long-term consequences of their bad decisions and support of sexual immorality. Moreover, the very fact that these leaders, executives and judges are now in positions of authority in the United States clearly demonstrates two things: 1) The unrepentant, moral depravity and apathy of citizens and leaders 2) That God’s judgment is on our nation because of the sinfulness of citizens and leaders Let’s not blindly disregard God’s perspective of homosexuality as revealed in the Scriptures of the Holy Bible. How has God dealt with the spread of homosexuality within nations throughout world history? Should God tolerate the wickedness of homosexuality and not judge homosexuals for their vile conduct? Moreover, does God judge entire nations because of the sins of many within that nation? Is it a mere coincidence that Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans just two days before the scheduled start of the August 31st to September 5th large annual “Southern Decadence” homosexual celebration in New Orleans? (28) What if it’s not a coincidence?

Likewise, imagine how God feels about the decadence and debauchery of the annual Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans (Ephesians 5:18, Jude 14-19)? And what about Hurricane Sandy; hundreds of killer tornados; hundreds of devastating hail storms; thousands of destructive lightning strikes; droughts and earthquakes in various places in the United States in recent years? Are these God’s harbingers (warning signs) to America? In addition, merely ponder the incredible earthquakes which impacted San Francisco in 1906, 1989 and 2014. Is this what happens when God removes His hand of protection from a city, area or nation because of their wickedness? Is it possible that God was attempting to get the attention of the people of San Francisco and the people of New Orleans concerning their sins by means of these disasters? According to the Scriptures, we know that the LORD maintains sovereign control over every weather system that

enters our nation. This means that He can choose to protect us from storms and earthquakes or not choose to do so. Earthquakes and storms don’t just happen by accident. There is a sovereign purpose for all that happens on planet earth. See Job 38:22-23, Leviticus 18:22-30, Nahum 1:1-6, Ephesians 1:11 and Hebrews 1:3.

Are these weather disasters merely coincidental? Or is it plausible that they are judgments from God due to the moral decadence of the inhabitants? The word “decadence” literally means a moral “falling away” from what is right and pleasing in God’s sight. Consider the fact that those who practice, protect and promote homosexuality have made themselves the enemies of God by their very actions. The LORD God of Israel warned in Leviticus 18:24-25, “Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things (including homosexuality – Lev. 18:22): for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.” Likewise, consider what the prophet Nahum declared in Nahum 1:3-6: “The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind (tornado) and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet…The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger?...” Homosexuals and their proponents for the propagation of sexual immorality fail to consider the fact that they have sinned against their Creator and have continually provoked Him to anger with their ungodly deeds. They do not believe that a holy, righteous God will judge their sins.

Contrary to what many choose to believe, the “gay gene” theory has been thoroughly refuted for more than two decades. See the book entitled Getting it Straight: What the Research Shows about Homosexuality by Peter Sprigg and Timothy Dailey (Family Research Council – www.frc.org/). Homosexuality is a lifestyle that is learned, practiced and propagated. The fact that homosexuality is learned, practiced and spread like a destructive disease is clearly demonstrated by three facts: 1) In many cases, older homosexuals seduce children and teens into the homosexual lifestyle. [This is why homosexuals have demanded that homosexuality be taught to public school students as an acceptable “alternative” lifestyle thereby conditioning children to regard homosexuality as worth accepting from an early age. In like manner, this is another reason why homosexuals favor mandatory sex education classes in public schools from grades kindergarten through high school.] 2) Many heterosexual men and women have abandoned their spouses in order live in fornication with homosexuals. This demonstrates that heterosexual people can be seduced into homosexual relationships.

3) Many former homosexuals have repented of the sin of homosexuality and have converted to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. They are no longer practicing homosexuality. Many of these former homosexuals have married members of the opposite sex and are now in normal, heterosexual Christian marriages.

What is the logical end of the spread and acceptance of homosexuality in the United States? The logical end of this continuing spread of homosexuality would be to turn our nation into something similar to the United States of Sodom and Gomorrah. Thankfully, our LORD is still reigning over the affairs of humanity and fully in control. He is the Judge of judges, presidents, governors, mayors, generals, government officials,

professors, teachers, executives and politicians (Acts 17:30-31). Our God will certainly avenge the mistreatment of His servants here (Romans 12:17-21). God loves sinners. Yet, at the same time, the LORD hates “sin” and commands sinners to repent (Acts 17:30-31).

As Christians, we are taught to, “Follow (pursue) peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” (Hebrews 12:14) In like manner, JESUS said, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9) Also, our SAVIOR warned, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves,: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) Yet, at the same time we are instructed to pursue peace with “all men” (including toward homosexuals), we are not to give evil men and women a free pass to corrupt, destroy and/or kill our children, families and nation by means of carrying out their evil deeds and agendas (John 10:10-15). For our LORD JESUS also commanded His followers, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Matthew 24:4) The Roman emperor Nero was both a homosexual and a pedophile. He hated and persecuted Bible-believing Christians in his time. Nero used his political office and influence as emperor to have Christianity outlawed and Christians arrested and brutally executed by the thousands throughout the Roman Empire. Let’s make it clear, Nero was an evil, devil possessed, homosexual mass murderer of Christians. He became an early prototype of the Antichrist.

But the story doesn’t end there. The living God of Israel judged this evil man. God struck him with insanity and he was removed from his position as emperor. Nero disappeared from public life. Nero died as a reprobate, insane, homosexual hater of Christians. Yet, we know that, according to the Scriptures of truth, without genuine repentance, Nero, is burning day and night, “for ever and ever” in the depths of Hell in eternal punishment. See Luke 16:19-31, I Corinthians 6:9-11 and Revelation 14:11; 20:15; 21:8. Consequently, the apostle Paul wrote to comfort persecuted Christians declaring, “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;…” (II Thessalonians 1:6-9) Just as our living, holy, righteous God judged the Christian hater Nero, so, likewise, the LORD will surely judge the ungodly, prohomosexuality leaders, judges, politicians, executives, media people, journalists, activists and propagators of sexual immorality who despise biblical truth and biblical Christians in the twenty-first century (Genesis 19:1-28, Leviticus 18:22-30, Romans 1:18; 2:2, Hebrews 13:4, Jude 7).

Our LORD is so merciful and gracious that He first sends “harbingers” (warning signs) to a nation in order to lead the people to turn from their sins in genuine repentance. But if the leaders and citizens of a nation refuse to repent, His judgment comes in full force. Tragically, it appears that the Day of His visitation is drawing near for the United States of America (Isaiah 10:1-3). The LORD waits until the iniquity of a nation is “full” before He fully judges it. According to His Word, He will judge the ungodly, gentile nations and their ungodly leaders in the last days (Psalm 2:1-5, Joel 3:1-21, Revelation 6-18). My great concern is that we don’t find the United States of America in

latter day prophecies in the Bible. Why? What will become of our nation without national repentance (II Chron. 7:14)?

The ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah had no Bibles, Christian radio stations, Christian book stores, and thousands of Christian ministries. Our nation has all of these blessings. Yet, it is spiraling into decadence. Subsequently, the United States of America has no excuse before our holy, righteous and just God. If God judged the people and leaders of Sodom and Gomorrah, He will also surely judge the people and leaders of the United States of America.

Therefore, as biblical Christians, let us continue to boldly proclaim the truth of the Scriptures to those in rebellion against God and His eternal laws. Let us continue to “…Abhor that which is evil” and “cleave to that which is good” (Romans 12:9). Let us stay true to JESUS and His Word regardless of what those who are corrupted and wicked are doing. Let us not forget the warning of the apostle Peter, “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness” (II Peter 3:17).

VI. There is real hope for any homosexual who is willing to repent, believe the gospel and be born again to a new, changed life in and through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. We know that God loves homosexuals and wants all homosexuals to repent and turn FROM their fornications of sodomy and lesbianism to Jesus Christ for salvation and a changed life (Acts 17:30-31, I Corinthians 6:9-11, II Corinthians 5:17, I Timothy 2:3-4, II Peter 3:9). Let us pray for the salvation of these who are actively corrupting themselves and others with their evil and vile sins in our nation. Our prayer is that many will repent of their sins and turn from the path of eternal destruction (II Timothy 2:10-12). The Scriptures are clear regarding this issue. Without genuine repentance and biblical salvation, sodomites and lesbians are on the broad path to eternal punishment in “the lake of fire” (I Corinthians 6:9-11, Colossians 3:5-6, Revelation 20:15; 21:8). The apostle John proclaimed, “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and the abominable, and muderers, and whoremongers (also translated “fornicators” from the Greek word - πορνοις), and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) The good news is that there is hope in Jesus Christ and His Word for homosexuals who are willing to repent (Luke 7:38-50, II Peter 3:9). If you are a gay or lesbian, you can exchange your fear, anger, confusion and vile thoughts for a new life with Jesus. Jehovah can cleanse you and forgive your sins (Proverbs 28:13). The LORD can deliver you from the power of Satan and bring you healing and forgiveness (Acts 26:18). He can give you a truly new life and a transformed mind (Romans 12:1-2). Jehovah can lead you in a path of righteousness (Psalm 23:3; 25:4-5, II Corinthians 5:17). There's real hope for any homosexual who wants to repent of his or her "homosexual lifestyle" and, instead, choose God's marvelous plan for his or her life.

At the apostle Paul's conversion, Jesus gave him a new life, mission and purpose. It was to be a witness to others, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:18 In I Corinthians 6:11 the apostle wrote, "And such were some of you..." I Corinthians 6:9-11 reveals that some of the Christians at Corinth were “fornicators,” (including homosexuals) who had repented and converted to Christ Jesus. They were no longer practicing fornication, which

indicates that, they had been delivered by Christ from the fornication lifestyles. Jesus can do the same today for anyone who is willing to become his disciple. Look to Jesus. He will deliver you from being a slave to the sin of homosexuality (John 8:31-36).

VII. How should Christians treat homosexuals?

As Bible-believing Christians, how are we to treat homosexuals? We are to love them; pray for them; do good to them; and share the biblical gospel with them. Why? This is what JESUS taught his disciples to do. Even if they choose to follow their homosexual prototype Nero, let us choose to do good to them. They may choose to vilify us, fine us or have us imprisoned for refusing to “change” our beliefs and begin recognizing same-sex marriage as a valid marriage. Regardless, let us remember what the apostle Paul taught in Romans 12:21 in the New Testament. He said, “Be not overcome of evil (referring to the evil that others have done or are planning to do against you), but overcome evil with good.” Thus, we overcome their evil toward us by doing good back to them.

May we boldly declare as our beloved brother Paul, “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). As authentic Christians, let us be calm, pray on, preach on, witness on, prepare on and carry on until our LORD's glorious return (Revelation 22:20). Let us remember that we are citizens of Heaven through faith in our LORD JESUS and His death and shed blood as the basis of our eternal salvation (Philippians 3:20-21).

As a result, the best is yet to come for US (Eph. 2:4-7).

In conclusion, THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT JESUS LOVES YOU. CHRIST has made it possible for you to go to Heaven after this life if you will repent, believe and receive Him and His one time, eternal sacrifice for your sins. JESUS died to pay the penalty of your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for you (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

Do you believe this good news message in your heart? YES / NO In prayer, have you repented of your sins and personally invited JESUS CHRIST to come live in your heart as your LORD and SAVIOR? YES / NO Did you know that you can be 100% certain in this life that when you die you will have eternal life in Heaven?

In I John 5:13, the apostle John wrote, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” How can you be saved and know it?

1. Recognize that you are a sinner and guilty as charged before God. Romans 3:23 declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” You may have sinned more or less than others. However, it only takes one sin to separate you from God for all eternity (Romans 6:23, James 2:10).

2. Repent and believe the gospel.

In Mark 1:15 Jesus said, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

To repent means changing your mind about your sins and need of salvation. It is turning from your sins to God (Luke 18:13; 19:8-10, Acts 26:20).

To believe in Jesus Christ means to put your full trust in Him and His sinless, one time, eternal sacrifice on the cross for your salvation.

The gospel is defined in I Corinthians 15:3-4: “..Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Therefore, the gospel is that Christ Jesus died to pay the penalty of your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for your salvation.

3. Call on the name of the Lord Jesus in prayer and personally receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12 4. Confess Jesus before others.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

By faith, you can make the eternal decision to be saved now. If it is your desire to be saved, pray this prayer of faith out loud: Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for my sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for me. I turn from my sins in repentance. Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins and come live in my heart forever. Please save my soul, change my life and make me a child of God by your Holy Spirit. Please help me to live in obedience to your commands and be an overcomer in Christ. Thank you my Lord for the gift of salvation. Amen.
