NEW STUDENT PLACEMENT TESTS To help us place you in the appropriate courses for your first semester, you are required to complete the online New Student Placement Tests. Your knowledge in the areas of math, writing, and foreign language will be assessed to mark your current foundations. Completion is mandatory prior to class registration. Click here to get started

Mathematics The study of mathematics provides necessary skills and concepts essential in other areas of study, including natural sciences, social sciences, business, and education. Therefore, a proficient score on the mathematics placement assessment is a prerequisite to many courses, not just those in the Mathematics department. This assessment is purely for advisory purposes and is used only to recommend placement into your first mathematics course.

Writing Wesleyan College courses require strong writing skills across disciplines and our faculty are dedicated to helping you develop your writing abilities. Students who have completed an English course at a previously attended college with a grade of C or higher may not be required to take the writing assessment.

Foreign Language If students are to succeed in this world and shape the world of tomorrow, they need more than breadth of depth of knowledge. One of the challenges brought forth through Wesleyan’s academic program is that students meet the needs of being familiar with cultures other than their own. To this end, completion of modern foreign language courses to the intermediate level is a requirement of the general education program.

Please complete your assessment today.

Final Deadline June 1st For more information, please contact Ken Blair by email at kblair@ wesleyancollege.edu, or by phone (478) 757-5193 5

PROTECT THE PACK In August, Wesleyan College will welcome new and transfer students, followed returning students, faculty and staff to campus. The Wesleyan College experience, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, is more than earning degree, it’s about creating a community that is responsible, safe, and sustainable. Each member of the Wesleyan community is asked to sign a pledge to Protect the Pack, pledging to monitor themselves for symptoms of the coronavirus and stay away from others if they have symptoms, wear a cloth or procedural face mask when in the presence of other people, keep a safe distance between each other, and observe best practices of hygiene and cleaning. While on campus, every student, faculty, staff, and visitor must: • Wear a face mask in all public spaces on campus. • Social distance at least 6 ft from others. • Wash/sanitize your hands often. Our guidelines will follow scientific research and best practices about COVID-19 for our community, even if those guidelines require more stringent rules for interaction than our region, state, or nation. We will hold one another accountable for following the guidelines for safety in our community. We will put safety first, so that we can accomplish all other goals for our academic community.
