She is a beacon of Rotterdam Zuid. A reminder of Rotterdam’s rich steamship history, but at the same time a symbol of urban renewal: Hotel New York. The Grand Old Lady is as stately as it is hip, and as classic as it is contemporary. In its second life as a hotel and caférestaurant, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line has welcomed adventurous tourists, traveling businessmen, hungry restaurant visitors and loyal Rotterdammers for more than a quarter of a century. Its characteristic green towers, natural hospitality and unique location on the Meuse make the Hotel New York an icon in Rotterdam and a household name far beyond the city limits.

Hotel New York has been known for years for its wide range of dishes and unique oyster bar. Where tickets for journeys to America were once sold, you'll now find a wide variety of delicious seafood. From oysters, mussels and clams to shrimps, crabs and lobsters. Great for lunch, dinner or a light meal with a drink. We also have a new addition to our range: sushi!

The Lounge of Rotterdam

High ceilings, colourful lamps, sturdy nautical elements and impressive pipes and pillars give the restaurant its unique feel, where the atmosphere is always buzzing.
