Washington Township Parks & Recreation

Washington Township Parks & Recreation Mission Statement Washington Township Parks will acquire, develop, enhance, preserve and wisely use natural and recreational resources for the benefit of all citizens through professional leadership, management and education.

Parks Staff Stacy London Recreation Program Coordinator Kristin White Director of Education Terri Wolf Office Manager

LETTER FROM TRUSTEE As I near the completion of my first year as Trustee, I continue to advocate for better government efficiency and transparency. With that said, I am happy to announce that the Mayor and I, through collaboration and with a focus to find solutions for a more efficient delivery of services to our community, are joining efforts in parks programming. With the City and Township cooperative efforts, we will eliminate unnecessary duplication of services, reduce overall park and recreation costs and can more effectively meet the educational, recreational and leisure needs of our community. The City will focus on outstanding community events while the Township stays on course for providing wonderful programs for local families to enjoy. I am excited to work with the City of Westfield on projects and programs which help the vitality of services we provide. With these efforts, our 2016 Summer Issue will come out with MORE community wide programs and events. Keep your eyes open for a NEW Westfield Washington Community Guide in early 2016.

Programs In A Box Westfield Washington Township Parks & Recreation has another resource to make planning your Girl Scout year much easier. Troops or individual volunteers/parents can check out a box to help complete a badge (badges not included), take care of troop meetings, as an activity, or as a service project to work with a younger troop. Each box includes most materials for each topic. This will enhance the troop meeting and the Girl Scout experience, while making this easier for the volunteers. There is a $2.00 charge per scout. Fees from boxes will be used for MacGregor Park improvements. Any supplies you need to provide are listed separately. The boxes have a target age level; you are welcome to check out a box at another level, if available. Program boxes may be reserved and checked out through Westfield Washington Township Parks & Recreation, 317.574.9490 ext 3. Due to the value of materials in the boxes, a $25 deposit is required at time of pick-up. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the box with all materials intact.
