West Cork Hotel, Ilen Street, Skibbereen/1.00-4.00Â’m/Free According to the nited Nations the current world population of Í&#x;.Íš billion will increase to ÍĄ.Íž billion by the year ͚͘Í?͘. The purpose of this seminar is to explore the various components of sustainable farming from an Irish perspective. What role can sustainable farming play in minimising soil degradation and halting biodiversity lossǢ what sustainable practices can farmers implement to oĆĄset increased energy costs and how can sustainable farming secure the livelihoods of rural populations such as West Cork. peakers include Dr teve Collins, Harrold Kingston, Alan agoe, Professor Peter ones, ames Gannon. ack Kennedy, The Farmer’s ournal, will chair the conference.
