ARTS, ATHLETICS & EXTRACURRICUL ARS AT W E STOVER SCHOOL

from the westover motto series: to think. to do. to be.

Westover offers a breadth of programs in the athletics and the arts and a range of extracurricular activities for all girls to discover and explore their passions. Our size allows us the flexibility to accommodate all interests and talents. Students have the time to participate in arts, athletics, and activities, and as a result, try everything, from squash and canoeing to social activism and singing. Novices and experienced athletes can achieve their personal best, competing in interscholastic sports or participating in personal fitness classes. Girls benefit from Westover’s close proximity to New York City, Boston, and Yale University in New Haven, increasing opportunities for learning and playing outside of the classroom, while fun, weekly co-ed events provide an answer to the common “What about boys?” question. arts & extracurricul ars signature programs MSM (Manhattan School of Music): As participants in this joint program between Westover and Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division, talented musicians and vocalists have the opportunity to study at one of the country’s top music schools. “Since 1909, Westover has remained true to its motto: Cogitare, Agere, Esse. ‘To think, to do, to be’ is more than a catchphrase. Westover develops young women who will be prepared to think their way through problems, to take action, and to make a difference with their lives.”
