Rodeo & Derby entertain packed house

The Demo Derby was held during the last day of the Weyburn Fair on July 18. Young barrel-racer Madison Leonard of Ogema rode her horse Elly hard around the barrels, during the Deep South barrel-racing jackpot held at the Weyburn Fair on July 16. The nine-year-old also took part in the DQ Kids Rodeo on July 17, in the seven-to-12-year-old age division, where she raced the barrels again, along with pole-bending, goat undecorating and a fun event.

Barrel-racer Shelby Williamson concentrated intently on making the turn safely on the third barrel of the cloverleaf pattern, during the Deep South Ladies Barrel Racing jackpot held at the Weyburn Fair on July 16. While the Souris River Rodeo had been cancelled for this year, the Fair organizers were able to stage the barrel-racing and the DQ Kids Rodeo to help make the fair popular.
