A demonstration of how grain was threshed was given in Midale during the Pioneer Echoes summer event over the weekend. This Case 22-36 threshing machine was powered by a belt hooked up to a tractor, with stooks of grain fed through. The grain came out into a grain wagon and the hay piled up on the ground. It was then put through a belt-driven baler as part of the demonstration.
Award for classiest car at Midale show Tim Carlson of Midale won the award for the classiest vehicle, a 1966 Ford Fairlane, at the annual Midale Classy Car Show on Sunday, held as part of the Pioneer Echoes weekend event.
