Fun with climbing

Shooting prizes into the crowd

A crew from the Weyburn Credit Union used a shirt gun and this slingshot to fire out prizes to the crowds below on Mainil Field, during intermission of the Karissa Hoffart concert on Saturday evening at the Credit Union Spark Centre. The concert was the final event for the day-long grand opening of the Spark Centre.

Learning the basics about rugby

A group of children took part in a number of exercises and drills as they learned some of the basics about the sport of rugby on Saturday afternoon at the CU Spark Centre. Sask Rugby put on a session at Mainil Field as part of the day-long celebration to open the Spark Centre to the public.

Children had fun exploring the new MNP play structure during the grand opening day at the Credit Union Spark Centre on Saturday.

Visitors to the Weyburn Rotary Club display tables were able to look over a wide range of jewelry, handbags and scarves on Saturday. The club collected donations of 2,100 items for the fundraiser sale, which was set up as part of Culture Days at the CU Spark Centre, plus they had a display of art items which opened for silent auction bids on Saturday and have since moved online for bids.

Simulated fun The simulators for games were busy as people tried them out during the grand opening day at the Credit Union Spark Centre on Saturday. There are four simulator rooms side-by-side on the upper level, next to the mini-gym. Photo 5902 — Greg Nikkel
