Parade of Lights

Sparkles displays at River Park

Snowmen and a really big teddy bear greet visitors at the display set up by Roughbark Acres at the River Park Sparkles. The displays opened on Monday night, and will be available for viewing from now until Jan. 8, 2023. The lights will be on from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. each day.

This display, by Don’s Plumbing and Heating, is part of the River Park Sparkles displays. The campground is all lit up with colourful Christmas displays, and will be open every day from now until Jan. 8, 2023.

Photos by Greg Nikkel Members of the Weyburn Rotary Club held candles as they were joined by the Grace United Chancel Choir in the singing of “Silent Night”, concluding the afternoon performance of the Carol Festival on Sunday. This was the first year that the Rotary Club has organized the festival, taking over the long-standing tradition as the Weyburn Quota Club recently disbanded. Photo 2519 at the Santa Claus was the special guest of honour for the Weyburn Chamber’s Parade of Lights on Thursday evening, as the finale of 45 floats that went through the downtown area. Photo 2118 The St. Vincent de Paul Junior Choir, led by Jean Wagner, sang three songs at the Rotary Festival of Carols on Sunday afternoon. Their songs in cluded Mary’s Boy Child, Do You Hear What I Hear?, and Children Run Joyfully. Photo
