A young girl had fun burying her hands in freshly-threshed wheat, in the grain wagon set up at the threshing demonstration at Midale on Saturday. The demonstration showed how harvesting used to be done 80 or 90 years ago in the southeast region.
Crowds estimated at over 1,200 people took in the street dance on Saturday night in Midale, the first such event in 20 years. The dance featured hometown boys the Johner brothers, along with Brayden King of Weyburn and Micah Walbaum of Forget.
