The five-time British kickboxing champion who left the sport and graduated with a Batchelor’s degree in biology and is ‘head scientist’ at Precision Health Gyms, said: “Our mission is to remove the guesswork and frustration people experience when trying to improve their health and fitness but fail through a lack of identifying the body’s needs. “We want to shake up the health and fitness world and bring something new which has never been done before in the“BeforeUK. now, the advanced technologies used to assess a person’s unique physicality and health metrics were reserved for elite athletes due to limited accessibility or high operational costs. Most people assume this is the case, but they’d be wrong.
Virgis , who was born in Lithuania before coming to the UK over 15 years ago, and is head coach at Precision Health Gyms, said: “From experience, we know all too well training plans are more guesswork than making informed decisions. The high-tech testing includes members taking biochemical blood tests which are taken by a registered nurse. By looking at the bio-molecules circulating in the blood, Precision Health Gyms can assess the function of, among others, the liver, kidneys, gut and hormones using tech from Omnos.
“The technology we use doesn’t lie, it provides us with the facts we need to revolutionise a person’s health and fitness like never before.”
“No two people are the same and at Precision Health Gyms, we aim to embrace individualism and thrive off identifying their needs.

Members undergo PNOE metabolic testing which measures how much oxygen and carbon dioxide they consume.Thechanges in breath are used to indirectly measure how many calories a person needs in a single day. This helps create a nutritional plan and advises them how much food and drink they need to improve their health and fitness as well as how their body is responding toThestress.pressure-plated treadmill is used as part of new ‘motion lab technology’ with data run through an algorithm that creates a 3D model of the member’s spine, major joints, while the pressure measured in their feet. This information is then used to define the best exercises to improve the posture and overall health of the individual. The new ‘super’ gym also uses advanced bio-impedance technology which analyses the amount of fat, muscle and water that is made up in a member’s body which provides information on how it responds to inflammation.
SINCE the government first announced its Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme in 2020, Alliance Leisure, has been supporting councils across England to implement energy efficiency measures that will not only help offset rising energy costs but will also reduce the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere, supporting the government’s net zero targets. To date, Alliance has been involved in multiple PSDS funded projects with a combined value of more than £30million.Workingin partnership with Leisure Energy and delivering works through the UK Leisure Framework, Alliance has made energy efficiencies at 23 leisure venues in partnership with 10 councils. Leisure centres tend to be the most energy intensive assets in a councils’ estate.Arecent report by the Association for Public Service Excellence, Local Government Association and Chief Cultural and Leisure Officers Association, titled Securing the Future of Public Sport and Leisure Services, found leisure facilities are responsible for between 10-40 per cent of district and unitary councils’ direct carbon emissions.Withnearly two thirds of leisure facilities past their replacement date, investing in decarbonising schemes is crucial to achieving net zero targets. Phase one of the PSDS provided £1billion in grants as part of the Chancellor’s Plan for Jobs 2020 commitment to support economic recovery post Covid-19. This was closely followed by a further £75million fund with a strong focus on heat decarbonisation to deliver greater carbon emission reductions. Phase three offers a further £550million fund. The first phase three funding application window is now closed. It is anticipated that a second window will open next month. Tom Gardner, business development manager at Alliance Leisure, said: “We have partnered with councils to deliver a variety of outcomes. In some cases we are delivering an end to end solution from funding application and procurement through to scoping and completion of works. In others we are contributing to part of the process.” Phase three works Alliance has been commissioned to deliver across 13 leisure sites are due to complete by the spring of 2023.

The new facility claims to be the first physiology and fitness gym in the UK to include high-tech full body laboratory-grade testing – including biomechanics, physiological, metabolic and biochemical scanning – which aims to help ‘build a precise physiological picture’ of the individual. Precision Health Gyms use these cutting-edge methods to formulate a highly personalised plan that delivers a detailed ‘roadmap for nutrition, exercise, lifestyle and supplementation’.
Plans start from £212 per month and include one-to-one personal training as well as small in-person or online classes. Precision Health Gyms reassess members’ bodies and health using innovative technology to identify any changes that may require the plan to be adjusted every 90 days.
