Fall SkinCare Prep for Radiant Looking Skin HERE ARE NON-INVASIVE SKINCARE TIPS WHEN YOU NEED CLINICAL RESULTS AT HOME The summer months can take a toll on your body in many ways, but the sun and sand

season,

it’s a good idea to

on the needs of your skin. That’s why come fall, I recommend treatments to replenish your skin’s natural moisture and help you recapture a youthful appearance.

1) Start with increased circulation and blood flow. Poor

circulation can lead to numerous health

problems: including dark circles under your eyes; puffy, bloated skin; and cardiovascular disease.

2) Next, the skin dermis and epidermis obviously aren’t ignored. Clinical grade moisturizers take nourishing your skin to a whole new level. Some also contain aromatherapy benefits to nourish the senses as well!

3) Then, there’s always-important peace of mind and contentment. Who doesn’t want less mental stress or anxiety? Following a great facial skincare routine at home outlined specifically for YOUR skins needs by a trained professional takes the stress out of facial care and ads back the relaxation.

4) Digging a little deeper (literally, in some cases), high quality enzyme facial peel treatments mean less acne scarring, visible wrinkle reduction, even skin tone and unclogged pores.

5) Dark spots and sun-damaged areas are targeted, and dull skin is transformed, leaving a glowing result. Any advanced signs of aging are set back to a more youthful state with a range of Clinical Serum options.

6) Clinical Grade at-home facial benefits also calm and soothe sensitive skin, provide therapy for precancerous conditions, rejuvenate, are a more-effective daily care to provide a fresh and healthy glow. Keep in mind,

medical-grade cosmeceuticals are your best option for skincare treatments which can be

done right in the comfort of your own home.

ASK THE EXPERT... Dr. Marcy As we age, we all make choices to live a full, active and healthy life. Staying active is crucial for healthy aging. Maintaining mobility can help prevent and manage chronic conditions that too frequently impact seniors. In fact, even a moderate level of physical activity can improve balance, endurance and bone strength. Q. What happens to our musculoskeletal health as we age? A, Once we are over 55 years old, we are more susceptible to develop injuries, aches and pain. The aging process results in a person being more likely to suffer from: • Osteoarthritis causing deteriorating cartilage in the joints • Repetitive strain injuries such as tennis elbow • Osteoporosis • Decreased mobility • Balance issues • Loss of muscle mass and strength Q. How Can Chiropractic Help? A. Dr. Marcy can perform a chiropractic assessment to find out if you need help with the following: • Pain management • Increase range of motion and function • Decrease progression of degeneration in the joints • Correct posture • Increase balance • Reduce risk of falls Musculoskeletal conditions can seriously affect your health, quality of life and independence. As part of your healthcare team, Dr. Marcy can address musculoskeletal injuries early to help maintain mobility and function. Healthy aging relies on your ability to keep moving and enjoying activities of daily living with little pain or limitations. Taking care of your spine and joints should start early and continue well into your golden years. It is well known that active living is an important part of healthy aging.

COVID-19 & Your Mortgage According to the Canadian Bankers Association, nearly 600,000 Canadians had so far been approved for some form of mortgage deferral assistance. Lenders and the Governments have rolled out many programs to assist homeowners with options. Q: Will deferring your mortgage affect qualifying for a refinance or switch? A: Yes, many lenders will not allow you to refinance or switch to another lender until you are paying your mortgage and not on the deferral program anymore. Q: Will deferring your mortgage affect your credit? A: No, lenders are not reporting your mortgage as “late”. I do recommend getting a copy of your credit report from Equifax to double check and dispute if needed.

We assist you in qualifying for refinance to pay off debts, move to another lender for a better rate, new mortgage for your vacation property or new home and can get you back on track with debt issues. With over a decade helping families have financially successful goals and generally we don’t cost you a penny! We are paid by the your Bank.

We cover your LEGAL FEES and APPRAISALS* *mortgages over $400k

After I read an advertisement in The Abbotsford Newspaper about public speaking. I decided to check it out! It would definitely benefit my career and social activities. My very first visit to a Toastmaster meeting is a very vivid memory. I was warmly greeted by friendly faces and even though I do not remember all the details I remember the meeting was very well organized. Everyone seemed so well polished. As a non-native English speaker, I panicked. What would I say? Do I have enough vocabulary to carry on a conversation? Can the audience understand me? Endless questions kept popping up in my head! I was too nervous to speak at that meeting, but a month later I joined the club and have not looked back since. I was assigned a mentor who guided, led, and coached me through my speeches. Today, I can proudly say that I am a living proof of how Toastmasters can change your life. I was able to deliver my first eulogy at one of my best friends’ funeral in 2013, and at my sister’s funeral in 2017.

Best of all, I was the Master of Ceremony for my niece’s wedding in 2017. I have invitations to be a guest speaker at events in my community and at work. After a decade, I am still enjoying the benefits and the friendship Toastmaster can provide.

Céline Ahodékon, DTM The benefits of Toastmasters are as varied and numerous as the people who join. I loved the feeling of delivering a message to people – it was exhilarating! For many though, the fear is real. Toastmasters is a nurturing community with a focus on the growth of its members – a place to learn to ease your fears. • each of us is born with a set of skills specific to our own purview. Toastmasters helps to expand that view and increase the opportunity to grow in our skills • individuals thrive within this community, and are given the opportunity to ‘fail and succeed’ in a safe place, which allows for growth through courage

WHAT’S ON!

Fall 2020 - Maintenance Minute The lower mainland’s moist environment creates prime conditions for moss and algae growth. Some of the most common deterioration on homes is caused by Moss (sheds and lls gutters - causing overrows) and Algae (eats through paint in a few seasons, allowing moisture to seep in). Keeping a clean roof, clear gutters, and washed siding surfaces will prevent a broad range of potential damages related to these two types of plant species.
