Welcome www.cornwall365.com

It certainly looks like we’re in for a jam packed summer this year, with 72 pages full of events happening across Cornwall! We feel very lucky to be welcoming back WildWorks this summer. This international theatre company returns to their Cornish roots with their acclaimed production of Wolf ’s Child at Trelowarren Estate from 11th – 30th July - a story for all the senses which stirs the soul and explores the very essence of being human. And of course festival season is in full swing with beaches, fields and forests brimming with partygoers. The majestic grounds of Scorrier House host the first ever Great Estate Festival which promises to be “the most rambunctious garden fete”. And if words and stories are your passion, then check out our Book Lovers’ Cornwall Top Picks on page 68 for some surprising literary treats and some inspired summer reads recommended by literary festival organisers. For details of all the best events in Cornwall across June, July and August keep a copy of our guide handy, or check out our new website for up to date listings www.cornwall365.com.

We hope you all have a wonderful summer in the sunshine, from everyone at Cornwall 365!

Live at Newquay Dramatic Society presents

Marjorie, Edward & George

A comedy by Ian Townsend Directed by Sheila Lines

Tuesdays/Wednesdays 13th June to 26th July 2017 8.00pm. Tickets: £8/£7. Self-taught medium Phyllis has been trying to contact her dead husband for the past 40 years, without success. With the aid of her sister, Elizabeth, and 3 showroom dummies, Marjorie, Edward and George, she holds regular séances, with appropriate lighting and sound effects, but never manages to get through to the other side. After a visit from neighbour, Connie, who tells them of strange goings on down the local supermarket, and the discovery of copious packets of rice in the sideboard drawer, there is a full scale storm, and suddenly Phyllis’s gift seems to be working. But Phyllis is in for a shock when she discovers the truth behind her husband’s death, as Elizabeth reveals the part she played, and dummies Marjorie, Edward and George prove they’re not quite so dumb after all… Saturday 24th June 2017 8.00 pm
