There’s a wealth of activities across Cornwall: North, South, East and West. Penzance is enjoying a growing reputation as a gourmet food centre and also offers plenty of distinctive art and heritage activity. The much loved art deco lido Jubilee Pool re-opens after a major refurbishment and Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange present a major project from award-winning Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi (page 61). If you’re interested in talking about art check out Tate’s Look groups, see page 62 for more information. New events are being added and updated online all the time so keep an eye on our social media sites and website. You can join the free email mailing list at any time and we’ll keep you posted with all our What’s On Cornwall information. Have a cracking summer one and all. Ross Williams Director, Creative Kernow

NOTES:
by dion boucicault
This sensational Irish play has all the fine elements of melodrama _ an exotic setting on the wild Irish coast; sensational melodramatic scenes; a traditional Irish wake; a jailbreak; beautiful damsels in distress; moustachioed villains; lots of kissing; live music and dancing; and a charismatic hero whose fiddle is the soul of every fair and the life of every funeral... also a dog! With a cast of 30, this spectacular play promises to be super summer entertainment for all the family.
