An Introduction Written by award winning composer Jason Robert Brown, the one act musical charts the highs and lows of the failed relationship between writer Jamie Wellerstein and actress Cathy Hyatt. Both characters are presented at eight different moments in their relationship, each instance telling a different part of their five year love affair. While Jamie tells his side of the story chronologically, Cathy opens at the end of the marriage, showing the lovers to be claustrophobically close yet worlds apart. Meeting only at their wedding, the two characters do not interact throughout the majority of the play. Through each mis-interaction and disrupted conversation, what is portrayed is a raw and impassioned account that is both emotionally wrought and incredibly moving.

Cathy Hyatt Natalie Hayes Natalie is from Warrington and is currently studying Professional Musical Theatre at Liverpool Theatre College. She has previously taken a role in the chorus of WWDN’s production of RENT. Her other credits include the role of of Polly in The Boyfriend.
