Aquatics Pre-School Swim Lessons

(3 - 5 years)

Participants must meet pre-requisites in order to enroll in swim lessons above Swim School Red. Please contact Jake Rightenburg at jrightenburg@ci.wheatridge.co.us if needed to schedule a placement swim test.

SWIM SCHOOL WHITE

For the preschool swimmer who is comfortable with exploring the surface of the water independently but is not yet comfortable with submerging under the water This course will begin to develop a high comfort level in the water and a readiness to swim independently

For the preschool swimmer who has prior experience in the water and can fully submerge Swimmers will continue to develop comfort in the water and readiness for swim strokes Swimmers will learn to enter the water independently and establish body positions for making forward swimming momentum

For the preschool swimmer who has had prior experience in the water, can fully submerge, and float independently Swimmers will learn how to propel forward in the water and begin to develop functional swim strokes Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swim School Red and/ or demonstration of the required skill level

Can your child Jump in and swim 3 meters on front, back and side positions?

If no, Swim School

Yellow & Blue

Youth Swim Lessons (6 - 15 years)

Stroke School Green

Swimmers will continue to refine their performance of all the strokes (front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke) while learning to increase endurance and swim longer distances . They will also practice flip turns on the front and back, diving, and competitive swimming Prerequisite: Completion of Stroke School Yellow and Blue or demonstrate required level skills
