Lacrosse

This is your opportunity to get familiar with the sport of lacrosse! No need to buy a lacrosse stick or balls to try this new activity out! This is a great introduction to lacrosse; learning how to hold the stick, catch, throw, pass, and score a goal! Gain knowledge of the sport and new terminology Learn all the basics and confidence to take this sport to a new level!

Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) provides the opportunity for young runners to hone track and field skills in a fun environment Absolutely no previous track experience is required and you can pick and choose the track events you like best Tuesday through Friday practices are a mix of fun games and skill development (which days you attend depends on which events you choose) Tues/Thurs: running events, Wed: hurdles, and Friday: Fun games day! Participants are encouraged but not required to attend all practices and meets Saturday meets take place at various locations around the metro area See you at the track! NOTE: depending on possible Covid-19 levels, some restrictions may be in place regarding face masks, spectators and group sizes Likewise, meets may or may not be permitted and the normal CARA Track format may be adjusted More info will be available as we approach the start of the program

Summer Youth Soccer League

Introduce your child to the sport of soccer This 6-week coed recreational league provides the opportunity to learn and develop the fundamentals of soccer in a safe and fun environment Participants will receive instruction on basic skills and rules of the game while learning sportsmanship, problem-solving, and communication Put your newly learned skills to the test during Saturday morning games starting the 3rd week of practice This is a volunteer coached program. Fall Soccer

Play the exciting sport of soccer in Wheat Ridge! The ten week season consists of 2 to 3 weeks of preseason practice and 8 weeks of Saturday games with weeknight practices You may register your child beginning April 12th Visit www.rootedinfun.com or register in person or by phone at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center (303)231-1300. Returning players wishing to secure their roster spot from the previous season must complete registration by June 15th.
