n the Cabinet expansion and reshuffle effected by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi major changes have been brought in the Cabinet. The Ministries of Tourism &

Culture have been upgraded into the Cabinet stature with Gangapuram Kishan Reddy being appointed as the new Union Minister for Tourism.

In addition, Reddy has also secured the Ministry of Culture and DoNER Ministry portfolios. As part of bringing synergies between departments of the government, the Prime Minister Modi has clubbed the Department of DoNER with the Tourism & Culture. Elected from the Secunderabad constituency to the Lok Sabha in the 2019 General Elections, Kishan Reddy had previously served as the Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Central Government. It’s a big recognition for Reddy being elevated as a Cabinet Minister within a short span of two years. A three-time MLA who had won two consecutive terms from Amberpet Assembly seat, Reddy was also the BJP’s Telangana unit’s president. Reddy has established his image as an educationist and a leader who works for the youth’s cause.

PM Modi inaugurates Rudraksha Convention Centre News Desk

rime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Rudraksha – International Cooperation and Convention Centre in Varanasi on July 16th. Spread in 2.87 hectares of land, the two-storey convention centre comprises main hall with a full flying tower, a seating capacity of 1,200 delegates, a gallery,

meeting rooms and parking for 120 cars. As many as 108 Rudraksha have been installed at this convention centre and its roof is shaped like a Shiva Linga. The gallery is done up with murals depicting Varanasi's art, culture and music. The objective of the project is to provide opportunities for social and cultural interactions between people at the international convention centre. Rudrakhs Convention Centre is ideal for holding international conferences, exhibitions, music concerts and other events . Fit for level 3 of Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) convention building will be environment-friendly.

JP leader from Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia has been appointed as the new Civil Aviation minister. Scindia is among the prominent new faces that have been inducted into the Modi Cabinet in major overhaul. Scindia was given the Civil Aviation Ministry as the top BJP leadership believes that the civil aviation sector needs a young, fresh, dynamic face that can take forward the needs of the country in the context of 'New India'. It is believed that Jyotiraditya Scindia will bring in new energy and new ides to make this sector dynamic and keep up pace with the changing post-Covid world. Born on January 1st, 1971, and educated in Harvard and Stanford institutions, Scindia has traversed a long way after contesting his maiden election

as a Congress candidate in 2002, a bypoll in the Guna Lok Sabha constituency, which was held because of the sudden death of his father, Madhavrao Scindia, in a plane crash. Scindia, a Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, switched from Congress to the BJP on March 11 last year. The 50-year-old leader was Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and Union Minister of State for Commerce & Communications in the earlier UPA Government.

New attractions at Ahmedabad’s Science City News Desk

Robotic Gallery, Aquatic Gallery and a Nature Park, these new attractions were inaugurated by the PM Modi recently. Constructed at a cost of Rs 127 crore, the three-storied Robotic Gallery will have 79 types of robots. Spread over 11,000 square metres, the gallery will have, at the entrance, a humanoid robot that will interact with the people. The gallery will also feature history of the robots and showcase how robots are being used by DRDO and other agencies. A unique feature of the gallery is a café in which a robot chef will prepare food that a robot waiter will serve to the customers. The Aquatic Gallery is spread over 15,000 square metres and has 68 tanks. More than

180 marine species, including amphibians and penguins, will be on display. A 28-meter shark tunnel, having zebra shark and other sharks, will be one of the star attractions. Constructed at a cost of Rs 260 crore, it is touted to be India’s largest public aquarium.
