The accolade is presented in testimony to the golf club’s wonderful picturesque parkland-style golf course set at the heart of the Lothian coast as well as the opportunities that the club provides for golfers to experience its fairways as part of a golfing holiday to the region.

Only 20 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh and 30 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, Royal Musselburgh Golf Club is easily accessed by visitors to the East Lothian region. Guests are made most welcome every day of the week, except for Saturdays which are reserved for members’ competitions.

Royal Musselburgh Golf Club dates back to 1774, the course itself was designed by legendary golf course architect James Braid and represents a challenge for even the most accomplished of golfer. Offering stunning views looking out to the river Forth, the tree-lined but generous fairways see many of the Club’s visitors return year-after-year.
Prestongrange house the building that houses Royal Musselburgh’s clubhouse overlooks the eighteenth green. With daily menus catering for all manner of dining occasions, the clubhouse offers a spacious, comfortable space to relax pre or post round. The club’s restaurant caters for members and guests through a range of seasonal menus and offers the very best in seasonal produce. The restaurant’s family friendly atmosphere and elegant décor make it a popular choice for dining in East Lothian.
