HEARTBEAT
October 7 - 20, 2012
A Note from the Pastor Across America today hundreds of deeply concerned pastors are preaching on “Freedom in the Pulpit.” Those who are paying close attention to what is happening in the current administration and the continued push toward liberal, secularist socialism can see an increasing intolerance toward Bible believing evangelistic Christians. Our freedom of religion is being threatened in ways that should alarm every citizen of our country who holds our God given freedoms to be from God, not the government or a radical leftist culture. What do we do in the face of such a dangerous trend? Today we will take the matter under consideration as we open God’s Word together and compare the popular beliefs of Washington, Hollywood, and the entitlement crowd with the clear teaching of the Bible. Please pray that we will have ears to hear and eyes to see God’s truth.

“This is how we have come to know love: He laid down His life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his need— how can God’s love reside in him? Little children, we must not love with word or speech, but with truth and action.“
