Dr. Joe Vitale, author of over 50 books, entrepreneur, speaker, actor with a starring role in the documentary film, The Secret. And he is now a musician with his 7th album in production. Interviewed by Tony Camacho

WP: Yeah, me too. I’m impressed just as you are. Anyway, school was kind of a job, you had to go and you did what you did.

JV: Two brothers and a sister, and I’m

JV: Yeah. I’ve never gone to a high school

WP:

JV: Yes.

reunion because I didn’t like being there the first time, why would I go back?

WP: Okay. Ok attended regular school,

WP: (Laughs) Okay, so what motivated

JV: No, I always felt like it was me against

WP: Dr. Joe Vitale, it’s a pleasure having

you online, I want to start where I always start, I want to get a little feel for you as a young man, as a young boy. Growing up in Ohio, was it?

mom and dad being the primary caregivers in your family?

JV: Absolutely, with dad being the breadwinner and mom being the housewife mom.

WP: Okay, very nice. It’s the story I hear

very often, I like hearing that. And schooling for you, was it mundane? Was it exciting? Did anything pop up into your world at an early age?

JV: Yeah, I hated it. WP: You hated it! JV: I was bored and I wasn’t good at it,

and my behavior wasn’t reinforced. My passion and my interests weren’t encouraged. So I did time.

WP: Well, I like your honesty. You know

it’s very interesting because some of the stories I hear are amazing stories. I’ll share very quickly. I interviewed Dr. Gabriel Cousens, and from a very young age, he was a voracious reader, he read every book in his school library.

JV: (Laughs) That wasn’t me. I’m impressed though.

you as a kid? What were your interests?

JV: My big interest was books. They were

my escape from my surroundings. I was unhappy, I felt like I was alone in the universe, even with two brothers and a sister. I felt like my father, who was an ex-marine, didn’t understand his firstborn son. So I turned to books. It was my entertainment as well as my education.

WP: Sure. Well that was kind of a tough

household to grow up in, with a father that had been taught a lot of behaviors that were not necessarily nurturing in dealing with children.

JV: He was fresh out of the U.S. Marines

right after World War II. His way of treating people was as if they were in boot camp, but we’re talking about boot camp from World War II and the Korean War, not boot camp today.

WP: So that’s a harsh environment. JV: Absolutely, yes an understatement, but yes.

WP: And you said you had two siblings, a brother and a sister?

And what was your relationship like with them? Had you connected more powerfully with them because of the household? them. My sister I was very close to because she was born when I was aware of her being born, and in many ways I felt like I raised her. And I’m still very close to my sister today, whereas my brothers, I can appreciate them from a distance.

WP: It’s interesting that you say that because I think in that kind of household, it creates an environment where there is this competitiveness between the siblings. So it creates a division at some level and certainly with your dad as well.

JV: Right. WP: So you got out of school and then went on, took a vacation, and then went on to college? What did you do?

JV: I

immediately went on to Kent State University right after graduation, no summer vacation, no break, because I wanted to learn how to fly a plane, and my deal with my father was, I would go to college and he would pay for my flight instruction which they had at Kent State. So in 1972 I took a pilot course and got my pilot license right after high school.

WP:

Oh, very nice! So you were becoming an entrepreneur even then, in the sense of negotiating a deal with your father to get you to pilot’s license.

JV: I don’t know if I even knew what the word entrepreneur meant at that point. But I do know I was interested in flying and I wanted to follow that pursuit as long as I could.

WP: Very nice. What did you pursue in school?

JV: I was sampling. I was trying to find my

way. I ended up having a major in public relations journalism and a minor in American literature. But neither one absolutely fascinated me so I basically bounced around and spent more time in self-discovery out of the class than in the classes.

WP:

Okay. And in terms of your connection with flying, did you continue to pursue that?

JV: No, I would fly every now and then, but flying was very expensive for somebody who wasn’t working yet and in college.

WP: Sure, I understand. JV: I don’t remember costs, but there was an hourly rate that was about forty times what the wage was that you would earn at the time.

WP:

So you plotted away in school, exploring and finding bits of information, new attractions for you, new concepts. Where was it all taking you?

JV: It

was taking me to being an author. Books were always the common element. Whether I wanted to be a magician, which I entertained at one point, I would read books, or when I wanted to be a pilot, I read all the books. When I was interested in being a private detective, which was a fleeting thought at one point, I read those books. I was exploring. So books, books, books. Somehow, someway, I would be an author.

WP:

It’s a wonderful gift that you began reading so voraciously, taking in information and just filling yourself and just having this knowing that a book was going to come out of you.

JV: Well I didn’t know many books would

eventually come out of me, but I was trusting at least one of them would. I was hoping at least that one that came out would be worthy enough to earn me some kind of accolade.

WP: Acclamations, yeah, and if the count

is correct, you have some twenty-five books out?

JV:No, it’s closer to fifty books now. WP: Oh my goodness, wow. How fantastic.

JV:Yeah. It’s more than fifty, and of course, way back then, growing up and in college, struggling, I had no idea there’d be more than one. I just follow my passion.

WP: Well, that’s the way to do it. As you began moving along, as you began writing, it was interesting because of that connection, the direction you were going in was certainly entrepreneurship. Defining a way how you could take your learning and infuse it into the real world to help people become more successful, in growing, also in a monetary sense.

JV: I don’t know that that actually happened until much later, because like a lot of people, I had a bad attitude against money, against wealthy people, I don’t know that I knew the definition of being an entrepreneur. I do know I wanted to be an author, but the authors I admired at the time were Jack London and Ernest Hemingway, these reckless, alcoholic suicides. So my attitude wasn’t the purest, but I didn’t even know it. My belief system was like theirs. I just wanted to write, hope I’d make enough money to continue writing, but I wasn’t thinking in terms of business, or marketing and entrepreneurship. That all came much later.

WP: Okay. So you went through and finished school, and then as you came out of school, what were you pursuing then?

JV: I still wanted to be an author. I was

writing books, none of which were being published. While I had been writing books, I had been working on the railroad. My father worked on the railroad, he took me out to the railroad when I was five years old.

WP: Oh wow. JV: I knew how to labor; I knew that I could get work on the railroad. But I also knew I wasn’t happy in Ohio, so I went to Texas. And that’s where The Dark Night of the Soul began. I ended up homeless in Dallas in the late 1970’s.

WP: So how old were you back then, at the homeless stage?

JV:About early twenties. I’m homeless, and then I manage to get to Houston, I’m in poverty for another five to seven years.

WP: Wow, for a long time. That was an incredible learning place, yes?

JV: Well, it was a very despicable, hellish,

embarrassing, traumatizing dark night of the soul kind of an experience where I’m trying to pursue a career in a very noble way. I want to write things that make a difference, so I’m not doing alcohol, I’m not doing drugs, but at the same time, I don’t have enough luck going on to keep me in a car. I ended up literally on the streets.

WP:

Wow. And when you share that, when you look back, I always think these stories are enormously powerful jewels that we glean from our experiences. For you, what were some of those experiences that you really felt were rich with information?

JV: The biggest one, which is the hardest

for most people to get, but now I know it’s more inspiring, is the idea that I was there because of my beliefs. That was huge. When I realized that I was homeless because I unconsciously believed that was the curriculum. I was following Jack London and Ernest Hemingway, and these guys had unhappy lives, both ended as suicides. I was modeling that. When I had the wakeup moment, and realized my beliefs were actually creating homelessness, that was a turning point.

WP:

That’s a powerful story, being associated or connected with those writers, and aligning yourself to the point where, ‘this is a part of my life in a way, I’m going to be homeless, I’m going to be without.’

JV:Without

even knowing it myself, I didn’t declare, ‘oh, I’m going to have a rough life.’ Part of me absorbed their biographies and thought that was the way you had to do it. The wiser approach would have been to model their writing style, not their lifestyle.

WP: That’s a funny line. Indeed, that

would have been very nice. But what a wonderful experience down the road, obviously a painful journey then, but what you just shared was really very profound; of how embedded those things become in us, and then how we follow them to the threshold of disaster without knowing.

JV:That’s

why I shared, because it’s a wakeup for everyone to look around and ask themselves, ‘what are you believing in this moment?’ Continued on Page 9

Exactly. That’s so true. How did you make your way out of that place?

JV: Well that crawling out of the mud

by myself; because we didn’t have the Internet or a lot of the things we take for granted today, my big resource was always the public library. That’s where I hid in Dallas; It’s where I went to study. I learned about copywriting. People were highly paid. So I had to learn how to be a copywriter, write sales letters, publicity documents, and news releases. I became very successful doing that, I was very persuasive. People started hiring me; I started to learn about being in business.

WP: You touched on something interesting. So you were developing skill in copywriting and those techniques, but how did you learn to infuse the writing with a kind of technique or talent that was more persuasive than other copywriters?

JV:I love that question. The first thing

was, everything I had been studying from the American literature greats that I loved, the Ernest Hemingway’s and the Jack London’s, and Shirley Jackson,

their writing styles made my writing more engaging. The second thing is, I found a book by a metaphysical writer who happened to be a copywriter. It was called The Robert Collier Letter Book. That changed my life as a writer.

WP: Wow, fantastic. JV:I was able to take what I was doing

in the literary world, the fictional storytelling techniques, and add the Robert Collier persuasion techniques, and end up with a new kind of writing, which I later labeled ‘hypnotic writing’. I wrote a book called Hypnotic Writing. With Robert Collier’s book, I taught myself how to be a salesman in print. The combination of both of those gave me a new skill, which apparently wasn’t out there.

WP:

Sure. And how did you come to realize that? In other words, how did you come to recognize that indeed it was having impact?

JV: I tested it. I wrote a sales letter for

a DOS software program. It was a test; I wanted to see if I could write this letter. I wrote the letter to the best of my ability using my hypnotic writing skills, a blend of several writers, like Robert

Collier, and Joe Vitale, and I mailed a letter out to a mailing list that I paid $50 for. And then I got orders back, which was one of the highlights of my life at that point, when I got the mailbox money. There were orders for product that nobody had seen. All they saw was my sales letter. I knew that I had found gold. It was a thrilling moment for my checkbook. I still chuckle.

WP:

That was persuasive information, fantastic! I can picture you there, opening those up, and there you are.

JV:That’s it, yeah, opening the box and the envelope and going, ‘oh my god, it actually worked!’

WP: So then I can imagine this explosion of ideas occurring for you, ‘oh I could do this, I could promote that, I could sell this’.

JV: That’s exactly right. Not only did I do it for products that I found exciting, but now I can tell other people I am a hypnotic copywriter.

JV: A magic formula, right? WP: That is very humorous to me; it ties in with this earlier desire of wanting to explore magic at an earlier age.

JV: Thatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s right. Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve always been looking for real magic, and I found it in a mailbox.

Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m more a disciple of Ralph Waldo Emerson than I am the Pope.

WP:

Yeah, although the new Pope is pretty fascinating and progressive. I think he is quite remarkable. Heâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s really making some big changes. So you began to disengaged and uncoupled from religion.

JV:

JV: Yes, exactly. Same feeling.

Absolutely. That was a part of my exploration. I was exploring metaphysics when I was a teenager, I was reading Robert Collier. Little did I know years later, he would dramatically influence me because of his copywriting. He wrote The Secret of the Ages and other metaphysical books. But the Letter Book influenced me on the other side. So itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s amazing.

WP: So I want to go back just a hair. In

WP:

JV:

JV: Absolutely, yes.

WP:

I have to share, thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a gentleman here in L.A. who does some spiritual workshops. He also as a young man was very intrigued with magic. When I hear the history, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s kind of similar in the sense that he was looking for something bigger, for something more fantastic, perhaps for something in him.

your youth, in your childhood, was your family religious in any way? I was brought up Catholic. It was a pseudo moderate, not-really-enforcing-it kind of a Catholic upbringing. But it still took me most of my life to get over it.

WP: I hear that. JV: Today I say Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m a transcendentalist.

So, no strong ties to religion, and then, as you shared, kind of moving away into metaphysics.

WP: And then, was there some point

along the journey where you became more entrenched in religion in some sense?

JV:

I became more entrenched with

spirituality, not with religion. The doorway to that was Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau and the American transcendentalists. That was the doorway into esoteric spirituality, including the Law of Attraction.

WP:

Right. So how did you, in a sense, harness this feeling inside of you with metaphysics, with spirituality, how did it become larger than it was before?

JV: Well the first book that influenced

me was The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol. That book showed me the powers of my mind. If I believe with totality it would tend to come about.

WP: Exactly. JV: As I expanded from that, I would

read books like William Atkinson, the guy who wrote about New Thought in the 1800s. Thought Vibration was one of the first books to talk about the Law of Attraction. Â These books showed me I was spiritually connected to the universe. Seeds had been planted by Ralph Waldo Emerson, when heâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s talking about the Over-Soul and this Universal Consciousness. The Magic of Believing, it’s telling me I can implant thoughts and beliefs in my own mind and this Universal Consciousness is going to help me bring it about. And then I’m reading Thought Vibration, by William Walker Atkinson, and that’s telling me about the Law of Attraction. All of these things have a chronological order to them that is bringing me deeper into a spirituality of life.

WP: Precisely. And so as you were making that journey, you were writing, and I assume ... were you making money writing then, or not quite?

JV:

No, I wasn’t making any money writing about spirituality. I was writing freelance book reviews for East West Journal Magazine, New Age Journal Magazine, and Yoga Journal. That meant, “Here’s $25 for your article, thank you.” I was learning about copywriting and would be paid quite a bit of money to write a sales letter for someone.

WP: Ah, okay. JV: And so I’m making money on the

earth plane in this business world called copywriting, but my real interest is spirituality.

WP:Yeah, and honing your skill at doing it and making connections. JV: That’s exactly right.

WP: Sure. So you’re in your late twenties, early thirties at this time? JV: Yeah.

WP: Are you a single man or are you

now married? JV: I’m married and we, Mary and I, were together twenty years, she died in 2004.

WP: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. JV: Most of those struggle years were while we were married.

WP: Right. So there you are. How did the big shift happen? When I say big shift, I’m thinking more in a monetary sense, how things turned the corner and suddenly there was financial ease. JV: A couple things happened, the Internet. I am in Houston, a copywriter. I am copywriting sales letters; I’m speaking to people about how to bring in more sales. The Internet is also coming around and everyone is curious and excited. I took articles that I was writing for the magazines and put them online. My articles were suddenly seen by tens of thousands of

people across the planet. And these people wanted to hire me.

WP: And that was fantastic. JV: I was one of the first to be online, to

practice Internet marketing, one of the first to write Internet copywriting. I was the first to write an Internet marketing book on how to write copy online, it was called Cyber Writing. All of that was a massive turning point.

WP: Yeah. And you know, the interesting aspect when you talk about that, is it was almost instantaneous because in a way there was almost no competition. So it was like you all by yourself. JV: There wasn’t any competition, and everyone was striving and struggling and stretching and reaching, they were trying everything. And so I come on and say, ‘hey, I know what works’, all heads turn towards me.

WP: Exactly,

wow. That was remarkable. So as you journeyed along, where did you take yourself from there?

JV: Well I tell you, the spirituality was

still there, and this was another breakthrough, an inspired idea. I wrote a little pamphlet called Spiritual Marketing. I Continued on Page 14

wrote a little booklet that had five steps in it on attracting wealth from the inside out. I would just give it away, I posted it online, and it’s still online today. It was one of the very first viral marketing campaigns ever, the first in my life. A publisher wanted to publish it. I said okay. The New York Times did a full feature on this.

we put out, it’s in Southern California. It’s a free magazine. So it invites me to anchor myself in that concept, knowing that it’s having impact, so I appreciate that.

WP: Wow. How fortunate for you. JV: The story gets better. A giant

WP:

publisher in New York, they contact me and they want to publish the book. They want to retile it. And I’m thinking, ‘this is getting better and better. So spiritual marketing now becomes The Attractor Factor, my all time bestselling book. A woman in Australia is given a copy, she’s fascinated. She calls me up and says, “I want to make a movie about the Law of Attraction. Would you be in it?” I reluctantly agreed. The movie was The Secret. And that sent me into outer space in terms of recognition, notoriety, travel, accomplishment and success.

WP: That’s a great story and a beauti-

ful story because look what it created. Not only on your behalf, in the sense of the notoriety and the success, but what it brought to the planet.

JV: It’s

one of the principles; I say ‘give things away’. I call it karmic marketing. Karmic marketing means give what you sell because it’s going to make a difference in the world, it’ll come back and bless you.

WP: It’s really beautiful. I appreciate that because the magazine that

Indeed. And when you say that, it’s interesting, the ripple effect, because it seems to be growing rather rapidly. More people are becoming awake, more people are becoming aware.

JV: I totally agree with that. I think

that The Secret was a crack in the infrastructure or the timeline here in many ways.

WP: Right. JV: And so I loved the movie, I love

the Law of Attraction, and I agree with you. There is an awakening going on. This is the defining moment for the planet.

WP: Yeah, very definitely. It seems

to be escalating; it’s on that cusp, that threshold of going viral, where everyone’s going to become awake.

JV: Hey, I’m just dancing like everyWP: Yeah. I like that expression. So

how many more books do you have in you, would you say?

JV:

Well, I just released At Zero, which is the sequel to Zero Limits, a book that really awoke people five or six years ago. I have the book The Remembering Process, that’s going to come out in a couple weeks. That is a fascinating book; it’s very different and very challenging. I co-authored it with my music producer, Daniel Barrett. I’m coming out with volume two of The Miracles Manual: The Secret Coaching Sessions. I also have a movement to end homelessness, and another book about it called Operation Y.E.S., which stands for Your Economic Salvation.

WP: I like that, I like addressing the homeless. I think it’s one of those things that we as a society, we as a country, have really ignored.

JV: Well,

end homelessness, the time has come. So I want to introduce that with other people, and Operation Y.E.S. is a book about that idea.

WP:

I really love that because it creates a greater cohesiveness, a greater bond with all of us, the main stream so to speak, with the people at the periphery. It’s really acknowledging that they’re not on there; they’re really a part of us. That’s wonderful.

JV:

We’re all in this together.

WP: No question. Yeah. Now, you do

still do a lot of different workshop-type events all over the country?

JV: I don’t do as many as I used to, I only

did one last year. I do most things online; I can reach a million people, where I can’t reach that many people at a live event.

WP: Sure. JV: I can also do things over webinars,

teleseminars, skypenars or all sorts of things. So I’m reluctant. I just turned sixty, and I’m kind of enjoying having my life right here.

Now, your vision in the next five, ten years, what does that look like?

JV: It’s an interesting question. In the past, I used to jump at a question like that. These days, I’m really focused on

trusting the Divine’s unfolding. The more I can be in the moment, the more I can contribute to an unfolding that will actually surprise me when it’s actually here. Otherwise I’m projecting a limitation.

WP: Absolutely, very true. JV: And it will come from my ego. . But

if I sit here and say “I’m going to listen to the Divine, and at each moment it’s going to prompt me. If I follow those prompts, I’m going to look around and go, ‘my God, I never imagined that’.” Look at my life now. I never imagined I would have been in a movie. Never imagined they would have spinoffs on TV and be sending me around the world and causing me to have all these books. I never imagined I’d decide to be a musician. I’ve got my seventh album in production. But as I stay in the moment and follow my passion, my imagination gets blown away by what actually happens.

WP: I like that information an awful

lot, because as you said, I think sometimes it’s a little bit of self-programming that we come up with this or that, it becomes a denial of some other potential that’s waiting to come into our world. You’re there and you’re in the moment, it’s just unfolding, and you’re just there to be a participant, to say yes to the process.

JV: That’s it, I want to say yes. I want to

listen and obey. I want my ego to listen to the divine. If I say yes, life becomes wonderful.

WP: Yeah,

that is wonderful, the in-

sights. I like to ask people this question, because the name of the magazine is The Whole Person Magazine. So my question becomes, is Dr. Joe Vitale a whole person?

JV:

Absolutely, yes. And a whole person is the body/mind/spirit, all operating, all integrated, all congruent, all systems firing. Today I say yes, he is becoming a divine whole person, not just a whole person.

To the mystic, sacred sex is a way to improve our health, strengthen our energy bodies and help manifest our heartâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s desires, with the ultimate goal of communing with God. Human sexual energy is among the most potent energies found on earth. The drive to mate is innate in human beings. You do not have to be a marketing wizard to recognize a long sports car sliding on a rainslicked road hints at the sexual satisfaction you will derive from owning that vehicle. The Law of the Triangle states that when two opposing energies come together, there is the potential to create a third energy. When a man and a woman come together, the potential is to create a child. But this energy can be used to manifest whatever you

desire, as well as to commune with God. Kundalini energy is the name given to this energy that usually lays dormant at the base of the spine. Upon activation by yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, natural spiritual development, or by a partner whose kundalini has already awakened, it rises along the spine through two channels called nadis. Like two intertwined snakes, the energy crosses at each of the lower six chakras.

In many sexual encounters, only the lower two chakras are involved. This can produce a brief flash of pleasure followed by a void because the other chakras are not involved. It can be tiring, as the sexual energy has been disbursed. Sleep often follows such encounters. On the other hand, when a man and a woman engage in foreplay as a part of a sacred sexual experience, they act as catalysts for each other, encouraging the energy to rise in their partner. Over time, and sometimes spontaneously, this energy releases blocks in the chakras and burns off impurities in your energy bodies. As the energy rises, it is possible for both men and woman to experience multiple orgasms. Distinctions between male and female can disappear and the identification of whose orgasm is being experienced becomes blurred, as the two partners become one. Far more sexual energy is produced by such an encounter, and aside from the obvious potential for pleasure, sacred sex strengthens the etheric body and opens passages to higher consciousness. The etheric body contains the blueprint for your physical body. A stronger etheric body can improve your health, while magnifying your desires and increasing the likelihood of their manifestation. This is especially true for thoughts you hold at the point of orgasm.

For best results, a woman must feel completely safe, loved and protected, in order to release fully the energy contained within her being. This is an understandable basis for certain religious beliefs that people should only have sex within the context of marriage. The issue is not whether you have a society-approved license, but that the woman feels loved, protected and adored.

The seventh chakra represents enlightenment. The medical caduceus, the symbol of the American Medical Association, is a graphic representation of kundalini energy rising.

Sexual energy can also be produced by same sex relationships, or by an individual alone, but in these cases you don’t have the opposite polarities or the mixing of the male/female hormones and body fluids that augments the energy and brings it to its fullest expression.

Remember, each sexual encounter results in a transfer of energy. You want to be careful as to what and whose energy you’re taking into your own energy bodies. Negative or low vibration energies are not conducive to becoming enlightened and will inhibit your getting closer to God. These low energies merely add to the discordant energies that must be burned off if you are seeking spiritual advancement. This is even truer for women as they are the receptacle for the male’s energy. In a committed relationship, the two partners act as mirrors for each other, intensifying the purification process. The goal of our spiritual evolution is to eliminate all impurities from our energy bodies. Sacred sex intensifies the process and allows couples to eliminate the negative, while experiencing higher levels of consciousness than either partner could attain on his or her own. When all the benefits are considered: improved health, release of impurities, strengthened etheric bodies to manifest your desires, not to mention the pleasure derived, it’s a wonder more people do not pursue this ecstatic activity. Especially, when it contributes to our ultimate goal of communing with God. information has been quietly held in mystery schools, reserved for the noble and rich, and held in one-on-one guru-disciple lineages for thousands of years…until now. He talked about Jesus in modern times and preached the message of love saying, “I have come to tell you of this unitary faith, this spiritual principle, this path of Love, this virtue of Love, this duty of Love, this obligation of Love.” He talked publically about how Jesus was alive and living in Penukonda, India. Avatars cannot lie and it certainly was bold to say such a thing. Was it true? I was wondering why this was not flashing news all over the globe.

Shridi Sai Baba and Sri Sai Kaleshwar Who was Satya Sai Baba talking about? Who was alive in the year 2,000 and living in Penukonda, India that he was saying was Jesus? In this small village was someone Satya Sai Baba knew, in fact, he was one of the ones who led him there. His spiritual name is the combination of the eastern expression of the Divine Mother and Divine Father…Maha Kali and Ishwara. Maha Kai is one of the forms of Divine Mother who is super loving and is largely misunderstood...she was an enlightened woman who lived long ago who was known for destroying evil and negativity so love and light could flour-

ish. Ishwara is another name for the Divine Father energy expressed as Shiva who is a commander of the five elements – NA (Earth) MA (Fire) SHI (Sky) VA (Water) YA (Air). The one of whom Satya Sai Baba spoke was named Kaleshwar. Unfortunately, while he was alive, I believe his message was lost and most people missed it and him.

spread the inspiration of the unity of all religions, taught meditation, and the balance of body, mind and soul. He wrote a book preparing us for the return of this time and gave us The Second Coming of Christ and more. Before he left his body March 7, 1952 he gave instructions to delay the publishing of this book for 50 years, which put its intentional delayed release at the turn of this century, not by accident.

Sri Sai Kaleshwar had a masked birth. He was born to a humble family in southern India. He didn’t speak for the first seven years of his life. When he did speak, he was asked

why not sooner and he said it was because he was absorbing God’s cosmic divine energy. He was wise beyond his years and at the age of 14, Shirdi Sai Baba who passed in 1918 appeared to him and fully awakened and enlightened him. Kaleshwar said, “Every soul has the potential to reach the level of a Shirdi Baba or Jesus and contribute amazing things to the world. Everybody can do it.” Kaleshwar’s life’s work showed how to do just that. The bible gives stories of Jesus by accounts of others but what I studied in India were original texts by Jesus in his hand that taught what he did and how to be like him to fulfill his prophecy to do greater things. Kaleshwar was living proof it was not just possible but true. Kaleshwar performed thousands of miracles including healing the sick, countless good works, preached like Jesus and did greater things than Jesus. March 15, 2012 Kaleshwar left his body and days before he did, when I was living in India at his ashram, he told me directly he gave me everything and told me to share it all. I invested seven years to learn from him in his Soul University. He gave me the title ‘Soul Doctor’ in 2008 and told me I had the power to heal anything. I have been entrusted with mountains of energetic treasures that I desire to share with you in future columns. May we remember that “Any true master does not lead you to themselves, they lead you to have your own direct experience of the Divine”. Perhaps we missed Jesus’ message of 2,000 years ago and thought heaven was only with him, when heaven is within. The Real Story Of

Adam &Eve It’s not fiction

For

most of us, the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a fairytale, a colorful way of explaining our origins – until considered from its rightly place of higher consciousness. Then it becomes a fascinating confirmation of spiritual beliefs we hold more dearly today than ever before. The Bible states, “In the beginning, God created Heaven and Earth.” Heaven, the holy, and Earth, the physical, coexisted since time began, as humankind was intended to be of both of them. At the first mention of human inception, the original Hebrew reads, “And God created man in his own image, male and female.” Talmudic scholars agree that the first human was androgynous, containing both the male and female essence in the same body. The idea that all of us share the same heart, soul, and light of God is not new. Shortly thereafter, God decides to divide the human body into two. He takes a rib from Adam’s body to create Eve – from his flesh, with no mention of

In this second “creation,” the text reads, “God formed man of dust and breathed life into his nostrils.” Clearly we were created of both the physical and spirit. “Adam” is from the Hebrew word earth or ground, while “Eve” means life or spirit. Could that be why even today men are generally more physical, while women more feeling? God’s first words to Adam and Eve are, “Of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat; but of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, thou shalt not eat.” This indicates that we were the first, and remain, the only creatures imbued with free will. No other living thing can act against its nature. They can only do what they are programmed for, but Adam and Eve had the choice wheth-

er or not to listen to God, although they were warned that eating from the tree would cause their death. The Garden of Eden was paradise. Gathering food required little effort and life was pleasurable and stress free. More importantly, there was no judgment. Adam and Eve did not know whether things were ugly or beautiful, fair or unthinking, or even right or wrong. God, mankind and the entire world existed only in the present, a principle not espoused by society until thousands of generations later. Nothing could be definitively right or wrong, because judgments can only be made through comparisons, whether from something in the past or from future expectations. This was a non-dualistic world, no positives versus negatives. Everything was one with God. The day brought sunshine and night darkness, but they were not opposites. They had different functions, but so did everything else, as well as man and woman. It was only the knowledge of good and evil that could form our ego and allow us to

But the serpent, representing her free will, planted doubt in Eve’s mind. “Ye shall not surely die, for God knows that if you eat the fruit, your eyes would open and ye shall be as God.” With that promise, she couldn’t resist. She took a bite, and when offered to Adam, he did the same. But they did not die. Instead, the very first thing that happened is that Adam and Eve noticed their nakedness. Of course they knew they were naked from the very beginning, but it meant nothing to them. Now, armed with the knowledge of good and evil -- the judgment of the ego -- their physical differences had meaning. So they turned from each other, quickly grabbed fig leaves and covered their differentiating anatomical parts. Before this new knowledge, their physical differences had no meaning, for they were separate bodies but shared the one mind and love of God. But now they were obviously different, so how could that be? Armed with the sense of judgment, their perception had changed. However, they did not die. Only their spirit was vanquished.

Their new egos filled them with questions; “What will we do in Paradise? We can’t just be with God. We must have a purpose to fulfill.” God could sustain them alone, but their egos needed more. From now on, man would eat only through the sweat of his brow. The paradise days were history. They would have to work hard for the rest of their lives – as much as 15 hours a day just to survive. Today of course, after thousands of years of cultivating our vastly improved egos, we civilized people have knocked that 15 hours a day down to just 40 hours a week. But this story is just a fairytale, right? Wrong. The story of Adam and Eve has always been, and continues to be, the blueprint of our lives. To dismiss its truth because of talking serpents and questionable science is to miss the point. And the Garden? The Bible says it still exists on earth and we are not forbidden to re-enter it. We just have to find it first – without a written map. It can only be rediscovered through acknowledging that our hearts and minds remain one with God. We must rise above our egos by treating each other – and ourselves -- with compassion, kindness and forgiveness -- so paradise can be ours once again. Living a Spirit Guided D

o you want to live in a way that is directed and proactive? Do you want confirmation that you’re on the right path? If so, then develop a continuing conversation with your spirits, the ones dedicated to your purpose and wellbeing. Creating a conversation with the spirits is a simple four step process: 1) ask well, 2) just listen, 3) pay attention, and 4) accept the answer. As a student of spirit communication, I like to learn quickly. As a teacher, I like to explain simply.

ASK WELL

To start a conversation with the spirits, it is helpful to know what kind of questions to ask in order to receive a clear answer. For instance, when a friend needed a reliable car for getting to and from the office, I advised him not to ask for money. He was puzzled until I explained that the spirits don’t work in terms of money, but in terms of abundance. So, instead of asking for a windfall of money to make payments on a new car, he asked for a dependable car. Days later, he received a call from a relative who had just received word that, due to a health condition, he could no longer drive. The car was two years old, paid off already and he offered the car to my friend - - for free. It is also helpful to be specific in what you’re asking. For instance, during a session I noticed a male spirit in Victorian garb with lovely manners who expressed his undying love for the lady sitting in front of me. He indicated a watch on her wrist which he said was a gift. Imagine my surprise when the woman said that the watch was a Victorian era watch which she had felt drawn to buy. She then confessed that what she wanted was a man in her life with the manners of a Victorian gentleman. Well . . . she had her Victorian

gentleman and he wasn’t living in the physical! She then changed her “ask” to include that the love of her life have a physical body!

JUST LISTEN

It is human nature to ask the spirits for help and then run around trying to solve the problems for which we’ve asked guidance. If there is one thing that I’ve heard repeatedly from the spirits, it is this, “Just listen.” In order for us to hear from loved ones in spirit and our guides, we have to make space between our own thoughts. Between the running of internal commentaries and reviewing “to do” lists of our lives, the spirits can’t get in a word or thought. The easiest way to make room for the spirits is to get quiet - - even if it is only a minute a day, preferably at the same time each day. Letting our own thoughts move through the mind without attachment, allows a space and place for the spirits to draw us toward their perspective which is larger and broader. In this expanded space, the spirits can inspire you with creative solutions to everyday problems. If we allow one minute of quiet to stretch to even just ten minutes a day, we won’t waste time in unfruitful pursuits. Being directed and guided by the spirits is the greatest time saver in the world.

PAY ATTENTION

One of the keys to receiving guidance from the spirits is to let go of any expectations we hold around how the answers are supposed to show up. This is true even for mediums (as I was reminded recently.) When my two kitties

passed due to different cancers within two months of one another, I was devastated. The two sibling rescues had been a focal point of my home life for more than a decade. One morning, I asked them to let me know that they’re together and still around me. Because I was expecting to see them clairvoyantly, I completely missed their appearance. It was actually my assistant, Claire, who pointed out that two birds had alighted on my balcony and were interacting with each other exactly as my two cats had. It was like watching my cats festooned with feathers!

ACCEPT THE ANSWER

Often the answers we receive from the spirits can seem incomplete. In fact, rarely do the spirits lay out the plan from the start to the finish line. It is often a step-by-step unveiling. For instance, years ago I had every indication that the spirits wanted me to write a book. However, I didn’t know how to go about making that happen. So I asked the spirits for help and was led to a writer’s workshop. At the writer’s workshop, I met an editor who invited me to meet with a publisher in New York. Step by step the book was outlined, written, edited and published with the spirits’ help (including that of my great grandfather who was a writer). The book, published by a major publisher, is now in its second printing. I assure you that I couldn’t and didn’t do it on my own. What I did, however, was ask well, just listen, pay attention, and accept the answers as they came. By doing the same, you, too, can live a spirit guided life. ow to Stay Connected with Your Pet, Even While You Are Away from Home! Dear Lori, What can I do when I am traveling and I have to leave my pet at home? How can I know that he’s safe and that his pet sitter is doing a great job and how can I let him know that I am returning home soon and that he can relax and enjoy himself even in my absence? Dear Worried on Vacation, Reassuring your pets when you go on vacation is easier than you think! Other than the regular steps which every responsible pet sitter must take to ensure that our pets are properly cared for and provided for in our absence, here are some simple, effective tools of communication which you can also do very easily to ensure that while you are away, Rover and Frisky will be A-OK. First, before you go on vacation, begin speaking directly to your animal companion in calm, short sentences which sound like affirmations, similar to: “I am going away for a short vacation. All will be well. I love you when I am here, I will love you while I am away. Even if I am not with you in the same physical room or place, I will always be with you in spirit. I know you will enjoy yourself even while I am away. When I come home, we will both be even more rested and relaxed and ready for more

fun, enjoyment and love together. I will never leave you, even if I go away for what seems like a longer while than usual, I will stay connected and I will always love you.” Notice the short and to the point sentences. Even if your animal companion does not exactly understand the words you are saying, your animal does understand the vibrational and energetic meaning of your words. Your animal companion also understands cause and effect, so when you make a simple statement like, “Even though I am going away, I will still love you”, or “Even if we are not physically together, we will always be connected.” these statements make ‘energetic sense’ to your animal companion. Keep preparing your animal in advance of your departure as often as you are able by gently, calmly and lovingly reassuring your animal companion, as indicated above and also by adding other similar reassuring affirmations.

Ask them to stand guard at the windows and doors of your house. Ask them to surround and infuse your home with love and light and keep ALL of your animals safe and protected at all times while you are away. Restate your DIVINE FREE WILL, CHOICE and INTENTION to return to your home to find everything, especially your animal companions, safe and healthy and happy. These non physical beings, also called electro-magnetic particles of light with innate intelligence by the scientific community, are real and will assist you when you make this request. You can also ask them to continually calm and lovingly reassure your animal companions that all is well and that they are loved and that they belong with you. This prayer alone will have monumental effects. While you are away, have a recent, close up photo of each of your animal companions with you at all times. First thing of each morning and last thing in the evening, and also at any moment throughout the day, take just a few minutes to do the following: While looking at your animal’s photo, close your eyes and take a few deep belly breaths, filling up your belly with oxygen. As you do, say your animal companion’s name three times, either silently

or out loud, as if you are calling him to you while you breathe deeply.

The day before you leave, do a short, sincere, humble prayer. Call in your unique non physical Angels, Helpers, Healers, Guides and Assistants who sincerely love you and want to assist you.

Once you do, simply reaffirm to him that you are with him in mind, body and spirit, right here, right now, and that all is well and that you love him and that you will be home soon and that you are looking forward to seeing him and having fun again. He will receive your message energetically, even if you have doubts about it. Our animal companions are so much more telepathic than we realize or give them credit for.
