As a congressional candidate, you might be surprised about her views of the Tea Party and why she won’t take on the entertainment industry’s responsibility for gun violence. Interviewed by David Spetner WP: Can someone be spiritual or have a raised consciousness and be a conservative Republican or a member of the Tea Party?

MW: I can’t be spiritual if I judge anybody else’s path so I can’t know the answer to that. To even presume to know the answer takes me out of the place where I can truly know anything.

WP: But can someone do it? Is it

possible?

MW: I disagree with most of the politi-

cal stances of the Tea Party, but not all of them. They’re not Nazis or fascists. They do not deserve the suggestion that their beliefs go against the tenants of spirituality. That suggestion does not feel very spiritual to me at all.

WP: Why do you think that spiritual people, and many liberals, feel contempt towards them?

MW: Everyone is on a spiritual path

and spiritual people have to be very careful. Spirit does not ask us to monitor anyone else’s path, rather we should monitor ourselves and watch for our own spiritual arrogance. If we judge people because we believe they are judgmental, well how ridiculous is that? We need to look at our lack of respect for other peoples’ opinions. None of us has a monopoly on truth.

WP: You’ve talked about creating a government Peace Department, but how do we deal with governments that are not looking for peace, like North Korea?

MW I agree that their goal is not to be

peaceful, but as with the body, you don’t just fight the disease, you need to boost your immune system. That is what we need to do societally as well. Sometimes we can’t directly deal with certain sources of violence but we can deal more proactively with the sources of peace. It’s very important for us to ask ourselves, “What part have I played to contribute to this mess?” This level of inquiry is as critical for a nation as it is for an individual. We need to enter into deep conversation, which would include America taking some responsibility for the places where we have not behaved in a way that represents our better nature. No person is perfect and no country is perfect but people can atone and so can a country.

WP: Ideally, if you and the rest of us are

able to transform the government, would you hold out the vision that instead of the Armed Services committee making plans, the Peace Department would actually do what you’re suggesting?

MW: There is a mindfulness caucus in congress and I would certainly join that. People talk about congress like they’re a

bunch of Neanderthals and they’re not. They’re people, a lot of whom are there for very good reasons and the desire to serve. Many of them have read the same books we have and I believe people in Washington are realizing that there are other dimensions of mind and heart that can be brought to bear in the process of our healing. Gandhi said, and Martin Luther King agreed with him, that love heals not only personal relationships, but social and political relationships as well. You and I need to take a stand for this when others would project upon this conversation that we are merely New Age woo-woos with fuzzy thoughts who are naïve about what’s happening in the world. People say making love the bottom line in politics is naïve, but I say that to go another 200 years as a civilization and not make this change is naïve. So either love is the answer to everything or it is the answer to nothing and I think it’s everything.

WP: Would you seek to change other representatives’ minds?

MW: I don’t have the presumptuous idea that I’m there to change other people. That’s not a life principle that I would ascribe to and certainly not what I believe a congressional representative should do.

MW: No, I don’t think that’s my job.

Dr. King said, “We have very little morally persuasive power with people who can feel our underlying contempt.” You know if you walk into congress or any other place with this judgmental attitude towards people you get nowhere, so that would not be my attitude at all.

WP: What is your view on gun violence? Don’t you think that the entertainment business has a lot to do with it?

MW: I agree with you entirely on that and include video games as well.

WP: Your district includes many voters

involved in the entertainment industry. Is that something that you’ve spoken to them about? Are you willing to take them on politically?

MW: There’s no one there to take on politically. People have a right to believe what they believe. In my congressional race so far that topic has not been discussed to any great extent but I can tell you that I agree with what you just said. It is very irresponsible to produce that kind of popular entertainment and then complain about the growing violence in our society and say that only gun control is necessary. I’m a believer in strict gun control but I’m also a believer in a more ethical perspective when someone creates a product for young minds.

WP: Have you spoken to entertainment people to persuade them to change their attitude about what they’re doing?

MW: No, that is not my role. I’m honest

when they ask me, but as a congressional candidate, I’m not in the position of asking other people to change. I have spoken about this issue before but asking Hollywood to be less violent is not part of my of my congressional campaign platform (laughing). I can assure you of that.

MW: Yes, that’s the kind of thing in this district where we pretty much all agree.

There are people you might disagree with on one thing but might agree on something else. You’re not trying to change them, you’re trying to align with them in the places where the work can be done together. I think by the quality of your personality and character they have your respect. Then they’ll have a great possibility of listening to you on other topics as well.

WP: So why is the entertainment industry’s responsibility any different?

MW: There’s a difference between

having a conversation about healthy shame as a society and where that conversation is appropriate. But when you talk about it from a governmental perspective, any talk of censorship causes people to have an understandable reaction. As I said, I have spoken many times about the entertainment industry’s contribution to violence. That is where I think it is very appropriate, but from a governmental platform, I do not believe in censorship of any kind. To talk about it in the purview of a congressional campaign would sound like something that I would not want to hear suggested by a congressional candidate for that reason.

WP: You’ve talked about encourag-

ing more women to get involved in the political process, but is it that you want more women in the process, or do you just want women who have the same political views as you?

MW: I think we need more women in

politics, however, I would wish to see women or men who represent the feminine values of diversity, tolerance and inclusion. It is the feminine values that matter as much as the female.

WP: So you feel that women like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman do not come from a feminine place?

MW: It’s not for me to judge them, but would I vote for them? No, for me that’s a separate issue. I’m glad to see more women participating in the electoral process. That doesn’t mean that I’d necessarily vote for a woman if she doesn’t represent my values but still I’m happy to see more women running for office.

had a wonderful experience with

my new “Whole Person” client. I will call him George to protect his anonymity. George told me that he has had depression, malaise, lethargy, sinus issues and headaches for years and that he is currently taking medication for depression. George conferred, “I don’t see the benefit of being here.” When I looked at George’s energy I saw a spinning ball of energy in the shape of a coil on the inside of his head with a deep red color surrounding it. This blockage was keeping George disassociated from himself as well as from other people. It disrupted his sense of self, self-worth and his overall equilibrium. It made him feel disconnected as if he could see but not feel the world or fully be a part of it. The blockage stopped George from having fun, connecting with people and his surroundings. For example, George would drive by the ocean but never swim in it. Or he would swim in the ocean but not actually feel the waves and their effect on his body. This created a type of numbing in George. He also felt unseen and unheard. George agreed with what I said. I told him that energetically it was impossible for people to really see him because this foreign energy (energy that is not of his highest essence) was taking over and his truth was not visible. The question is, “Why is this blockage in George’s head and how did it get there?” When I asked this question I heard that George was “damned, condemned and humiliated in past lives.” When I said this

George confirmed that he has also felt this way strongly in this life. That is because bad experiences from past lives will continue into the present life until they are healed. Different faces and different places… but still the same damn energy! (That was a joke.) I also saw that the red swirling ball in Georges head was filled with alien energy. It is common for extraterrestrial energies and spirits to take over a person when a person asks for help. This happens when a person feels scared or in his case, afraid of his community who damned and hurt him. The “foreign” energy jumps in and says, “Sure, I can help to numb you from feeling these harrowing experiences and fears! And the payoff for me is that I get to live in your head and control you!” Originally it is a win-win situation as George feels better being numb to his pain. It’s just like drinking a beer except that it can last life-times until you get the strength to clear it. But in the end it causes the issues mentioned above. What we have now is a man who has had severe trauma in the past and presently has a ball of red foreign energy spinning in his head to keep him off his course. This causes lethargy, depression and of course, head-

aches. It also causes a person to give up. Unfortunately, anytime you say, “I can’t do it” whether consciously or not, you are inviting foreign energy into your space to take over. And so the pattern repeats itself. When you don’t feel empowered you end up not caring about yourself which induces a poor diet. This is true in George’s case who eats and drinks: sodas, coffee, chocolate and cakes daily. This diet invites death. It’s a slow death but nevertheless a death. Anger is another by-product of having foreign energy in one’s space. This is because when other energies take over it will make a person feel as if they are in a cage and out of control. This is why George feels as if he is in a fish tank looking out seeing the world but never fully connecting. Anger is an important emotion as it pushes out foreign energy as long as it’s followed by positive action. When anger is not addressed it causes depression and lack of empowerment. This causes a person like George to give up because he doesn’t understand how powerful he could be. There are some important steps George must take in order to heal. He must get in touch with his anger, get into his body, forgive (let go of) the experiences of the past and love

himself. He can get into his body and get in touch with stored anger by doing some major exercise. He must run up a hill and yell, “Bloody hell this is a bitch and I can’t get up this @%$#&! mountain!” Then he must PUSH himself to do it sweating, yelling and crying all the way to the top. Doing this on a daily basis will not only get George in touch with his anger but he will get into his body and feel empowered by accomplishing his goals. It’s the foreign energy that makes him think he can’t do it. The truth is he can, but George must work hard for it. The more he comes into his body via exercise and accomplishes his goals of eating a clean diet the more empowered he will feel. When a person takes charge of their body it is impossible for foreign energy to enter. Stress is the number one evil, not money, as stress is an automatic invitation for one’s spirit to leave the body and for foreign energy to come in. George must stomp on the ground and confirm, “I want to be here and I deserve to be here!!!” Then people will begin to notice him as he snuggles into his body! The diet that I recommend is in this order. All organic fresh non-GMO: green vegetables, all vegetables, # # #fruit (not dried), seeds, nuts, herbs, sea vegetables, legumes and grains. Eat one large vegetable salad per day. I told George how he can keep foreign energies from his system and how to empower himself. Then I gave him a healing on his head. George said he felt better right away and more integrated in his body. Go George! How Spirits Want to Be Remembered

“Can my granddaughter see what her headstone looks like?” I was asked during a recent session. The young, very energetic spirit showed me a dark, square headstone with three names and the initials “R2D2” as well. Her grandmother confirmed that the gravesite is shared by three siblings; the initials are those of the robot in her granddaughter’s favorite Star Wars film. (The little girl and her two brothers had died together.)

hear music from the sixties and the name “Roy” came through. When I passed this information along, the sitter looked shocked. He had just returned from visiting the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington where he had searched in vain for the name of his friend, Roy. “I was standing right next to you while you were looking for me,” Roy told his friend. Roy then went on to tell me about some of the great (Xrated) fun he and his friend had shared during their time in Vietnam. The very clear message we got from Roy was that he has a life beyond the memorial of his death.

The word “memorial” is defined as “something designed to preserve the memory of a person, or event.” In the month of May we remember all of those we’ve lost, and in particular, turn attention to those who have served in the military.

When a mother in spirit talked about the planning her funeral, I and her daughters were surprised. “Your father wants to have a big, fancy thing as a way to honor our life together,” she said. “Don’t worry about the money.” The daughters then told the group that their mother had died that morning. Their day had been filled with arguments about whether to support their father’s plans or honor their mother’s wishes to save money by not having a funeral. Their mother solved the dilemma by supporting her loving husband’s decision. Although the spirits are not attached to funer-

This brings to mind the innumerable messages from spirits who announce their participation in foundations created in their memory. we move into the fifth month of our calendar year, all of Nature seems to be taking off its spandex and bursting into the joy of freedom. The Number Five exudes this very energy no matter where it appears in a personal chart.

LOVE AND POWER I heard many times that ‘all you need is love’ and thought it was true until one day, my belief system broke open as I learned the truth from purnavatar Sri Kaleshwar. He taught that love is only half the equation now. Times have changed and so has spiritual law. As we evolve as one race, the human race, spiritual and natural law also changes. Around the year 2,000 we entered a new time cycle called the Sai yuga also referred to as the Satya yuga, meaning truth. In this present age of truth that will reign for at least 1,000 more years, two things are neces-

sary to be successful in this time: love and power. “Every avatar on this planet has two things, love and power. For every spiritual human being who wants enlightenment, the first thing is love. Second is power, the supernatural abilities. If you only have love you cannot help the planet” Kaleshwar explained, who embodied both.

LOVE “Love is nothing but trust and faith. Try to fall in love with the pure divine love. Ask for the real truth. Try to bring

that spark in you.” Kaleshwar advised. You can pull and grow the spark of divine love and truth in you by being and giving love to all around you. One way to do this is imagine the face of the person you love the most on everyone you encounter. For example, my heart blooms open at the thought of Jesus, so when I see someone unloving, instead of judging them and closing my heart to them, I consciously open my heart to them by picturing the face of Jesus on the person and love them as if they were him; it changes my energy and shifts the conversation to pull higher love instead of blocking love. He continued, “The lesson is that through love, you can change any person. Don’t get emotional and ferocious. Just use your love. That’s a big weapon. Instead of blaming someone, try to love him. Try to love the person. It’s enough. Whatever he did, his karmas will again turn back to him.” If everyone were to take any energy they use to complain, blame, demand,

body and each cell contains up to billions of molecules. Think of all the untapped potential right now alive in you. Power comes in various forms but the one I want to focus on now are the supernatural abilities. You can divide divine powers into two categories: siddhis and yogas. Siddhis and yogas are supernatural abilities ordinarily earned through meditational practices generally under the guidance of a master who has won them. They may be conferred through seeing a saint, divine soul or power object. Siddhis may be earned in a lifetime but also can be lost because of your blocks, if misused or stolen. Yogas in this context are high divine meditational practices, and do not refer to physical exercise. Yogas often require more energy to attain but once won, generally you cannot loose them and they cannot be stolen from you. Kaleshwar instructed that if your intention is to gain spiritual powers without being loving, if you don’t care about anything but obtaining power, then you are asking for trouble. Remember anything is possible only when you combine love and power. We all can increase our power. I challenge everyone including myself, to raise our vibration each day to the highest level possible. I would like to hear from you what are ways you raise your vibration. How to do that is a deep subject – it must be approached from all angles, not just the body and mind but the heart and soul too. Z: Sure, Zara-tu-stra, Zarathustra is a

Greek pronunciation of a Persian God, Zardosht is the Persian pronunciation of Zarathustra. Zarathustra was a Persian Master, prophet 3,000 years ago. He appeared in Iran. His teaching is there is only one God. He also was teaching that there were two forces, the evil and the good forces. He taught we should always help the good forces. The religion Zorastrianism was born out of the master. He also has a holy book which is called Avesta.

WP: Okay, so I want to start with your

early history. It’s always nice to get a picture, a bit of background. So your early years when you were one to five, any vivid memories? You were in public or private school?

Z: Yes, private school. I got my diploma

and then when I was nineteen, I then migrated to the U.S., to San Francisco.

WP: Wow! And you migrated on your own or you came with family?

Z: No, at that time my brother was in

college in San Francisco, so I joined him.

WP: And when did you acquire the name?

Z: I received this name on May 15th, 1990

when I took Osho Shunya. I received it from Osho, this name basically is from the link to Osho.

WP:And prior to then acquiring that name what was your name?

Z: Allen. WP: Would that have been your Persian name?

Z: I don’t remember my Persian name. I

changed my name to Allen around the mid 80’s in 1990 I received Zarathustra.

WP: And I am making some assumptions, I am assuming you were born in Iran or were you born in the states?

Z: I was born in Paris France. My father

was a diplomat at that time. We moved to Tehran, Iran when I was five years old.

WP: O.K and any interesting events back in the early years, when you were back in 5th, 7th, 10th, grade or was it kind of the mundane childhood?

Z: Well, at six or seven, I use to lie down

on my stomach and do my homework. And all of a sudden one day I felt a presence. I brought my head up and I saw myself. I saw someone identical to me but with different clothing starring at me. It freaked me out. I started screaming, “Ghost, Ghost!” I was hearing voices, an entity was talking to me and telling me things but gradually everything disappeared.

WP:But when you started hearing those

voices and you use that word entity would you have used that word then or was it just a strange voice?

Z: Yes, at that time, I was kind of accustomed to it because I was hearing these voices on regular basis. They were calling my name and speaking to me.

WP: So did you respond back, like “Hey what do you want?”

Z: Yes, I would converse with them. They would give me information. They were giving me visions.

WP: What was the nature of these visions?

Z: Well, there were different things. One

of them I am still not at liberty to disclose.

WP: OK. Z: Back when I was six or seven years old

and I was very much interested in transporting toys from a toy store into my bedroom. So I knew it was possible and so I was working on either transporting toys to myself or toys into my bedroom.

WP: Very clever. Z: I was interested in all of the stories

that I heard from my parents or religious stories. The limiting stories that I heard I could not believe. I knew there was more and everything that I was perceiving or sensing and this was when I was five or six years old. And when they told me that God created the universe I would say like, “Who created God and where does this space end?” or “What am I doing on this planet and why was I born? Where was I before I was born and where would I go after I die?” So these were questions in my mind when I was five or six years old.

WP: Yes, so were those questions that then came out to your parents to your grandparents or from other people in the

world, would you actually ask them, “Why am I here, about God and so forth?”

WP: Okay, so what do you think it was

Z: Yes, the answers were not satisfactory.

Z: It was just a deep knowing that for any

I do remember that I was six years old and my grandmother had died. And I asked my parents specifically what happens to you when you die? And they said you are no more. I could not buy it. I remember I said to myself, how can I ever die?

WP: Yes, that’s a remarkable knowing for a six year old child and a knowing of being eternal. That is quite astounding. So as life journeys on, the communication that you had began to diminish.

Z: Yes, these things started to disappear.

I became “normal”, trying to fit in and becoming a real teenage boy which is something I never felt. However, I became aware five or six years ago, that I had this ability of knowing things and sensing things. I just knew things. And I thought everyone else was like me. I came to the understanding that all my life, I had these gifts.

WP: So that took you through high school and then you mentioned then you were here in the Bay Area, I think.

Z: Yes, when I was twenty-one years

old I had a very profound dream. It was the first indication that I would be doing something in the area of healing, helping people to awaken. I was twenty-one years. I had a dream that I walk into the kitchen in my house and that my mom was dead. Her body was on the floor and half of her body had decomposed and rotted and maggots were eating half of her body and the other half was still okay and as soon as I saw this I started screaming, “No, No mother you can’t die.” And I ran on top of her, grabbed the hand that was good and held it and I put the other hand to the sky. And then I saw a river of life or light that poured in through the cosmos that went through my hand and transferred to her hand and her body came back to life.

WP: So what did you embark upon when you came here? Here you have these experiences at a very young age and you recognize that you have some healing capacity, here on the planet to help bring people to consciousness. So how did you bring that into your life? What was the game plan for you?

Z: At that time the game plan was just like

any other kid, go to college and get a degree, make as much money as possible, meet girls and party be a twenty year old. Then around 1986 or 1987 some sort of awakening started to take place. I was in my last college class. It was History of Southeast Asia, and when it came to Buddhism, there was a sentence in this book that I read about Buddha, and for some reason it pulled a trigger in me. Something awakened when I read the sentence. WP: Do you remember the sentence?

Z: I don’t remember the sentence, but it

was profound enough that it aroused this curiosity to buy a book about the life of Buddha.

WP: Interesting! I want to go back to

childhood. In your home you were reared by your primary care givers, mom and dad, grandmother and grandfather?

Z: Yes. WP: Siblings as well? Z: Yes, I had one sister and I have one

brother. Both older than me, my sister passed in 2003 and my brother is still alive, five years older.

WP: O.K, so growing up in the houseWP: Was that then information that you shared with your mother?

Z: Actually I did not tell this to my mom until four years ago.

usual is because I have only experienced one family in my life. It was not spirit world. However, I do recall we had a lot of juicy conversations with my dad, with my brother and sister in the evenings after dinner about world politics. It was a very intellectual family. WP: You said your father was an ambassador?

Z: Yes he was an Iranian ambassador in Austria.

WP:Ah. But no conversations about the

spirit world. Were there conversations just about God?

Z: Not really. I did not grow up in a spiritual family. However, my mom had a very strong connection to Spirit.

WP: Both mom and dad are still alive? Z: They actually live in the Valley, in Reseda.

WP:Good, so there you are a young man

focusing on making money and focusing on attracting the opposite sex and understanding where you heading in the world. So where do things change?

Z: Well what happened after that history class, and then I got into the spiritual market.

WP: Oh. Z: So then I tried NSA (Nichirin

Shoshu of America) Buddhism. That did not answer my questions. I started with Persian Sufism, Islamic Sufism but it was not answering my questions. I tried Buddhism and started to poke around. Then I happened to meet a powerful healer, a psychic. It was in 1987. So I went to meet her. Her name is Adele Tennings. A lady with white hair, beautiful blue eyes. I opened the door to her house my heart beat changed and I became calm. And I walked in, we looked at each other and there was an immediate love affair. This lady was extraordinary. WP: So that fueled you and helped open the door even wider.

Z: Yes, especially when she demonstrated

healing work. She would go into trance and we would all be around the kitchen table, the next thing was that it would be floating in the air. This energy would penetrate my body. It felt like really thick honey. It was love and my first experience of divine drunkenness.

WP: It was an extraordinary, sweet moment.

Z: It was a very sweet moment. WP: And so where did go from all there?

Z: Well the next that happened, I use to

swim in a La Jolla cove in the ocean and I would pray. I was working for an insurance company. I was their sales manager.

WP: You were working hard, dedicated to your job.

Z: I did, I first went to Iran because I had no money when I left.

WP: When you left the U.S. Z: Yes, all of the doors started to close. I

sold everything I had $50 cash and a one-way ticket that my sister had purchased for me. So I took a journey to Kurdistan, a section of Iran and region where there are 72 different Sufi groups. WP: Seventy-two.

Z: Seventy-two, and one of these groups

does powerfully strange stuff in their ceremonies. Powerful things, like they can eat glass and they can stick a sword in the stomach, stick it so it goes from one side of their body to the other side. I don’t know if it is illusion or if it is real, I was very attracted to power because I was feeling healing energy in my hand. I had become some sort of healer touching people.

WP: Were you carving out a practice? So you were aware of this energy, of the energy coming through your hand and people changing?

Z: Yes! I mean yes who knows? Something

deep down inside knew. Because the first thirty days of my arrival in India every single day I experienced a miracle. Anything I needed would manifest in 5 or 10 minutes, anything.

WP: Quite a remarkable way to live, for that duration of time to have whatever you want to show up.

Z: Not whatever I wanted. Everything I needed would appear.

WP: Yes, that’s a rather powerful experience to solidify your connection with Source.

Z: Yes, it was showing me that I was on the right path. I did get to the feet of the master. Before I got to him, oh my God, I am a lazy dog and I hate to do these spiritual practices and I am not into any of these kinds of things. I thought there must be an easier way to Enlightenment.

WP: Your preference would have been the shortcut.

Z: Yes, the shortcut. But when I got to Mas-

revealed, that information gets revealed. All I have to do is look around the body of the person and it will reveal whatever I need to know. It just will give me what I need to transfer to that person.

WP:You talked earlier about 5th Dimensional bodies and so forth and when you spoke about entities, do you feel like you have a connection with the 5D you?

Z: Oh yes, 100%.

WP: That’s a fantastic tool. Z: Yes. I had three weeks off in between,

which is when my life went back to normal for a short time; then more of the same thing in downloading information. And as time went on it gave me the opportunity to be able to look into peoples’ psyches and I can find information.

WP: Fantastic! It has really grown. Z: Yes it has. WP: Is there a big Persian community there?

Z: No, it is small, but I guess it was meant to be, to get me to Norway.

WP: So where do you see yourself going

Z: Yes, it has already been my fifth trip to

Norway, and I have nine workshops and two Expos in Norway, and I have seven events in Denmark. Then I am supposed to go back September, October, November, December to Norway, Denmark and Sweden. So it is already growing to different Scandinavian countries.

Z: Specifically my guides, or anyone else’s WP: No specifically yours. Z: The way I look at it there is no separation. In Spirit, there is no separation. My guides are everyone else’s guides as well.

WP: So let us come back full circle from

where we were at. You just came back from a trip from Norway? And you have been doing a fair amount of work over there, yes?

Z: Yes. WP: And they opened their arms and have

said just come aboard, we want to take advantage of your talents.

Z: Yes. WP: So how did that come about? How did you connect there?

Z: I had a T.V interview that went on you

tube and somebody in Norway, a Persian lady, she saw my interview. There is a Persian community in Oslo. They do meditations, they go to John of God, they are seekers. One of them came to Los Angeles and I gave the lady an appointment. She went through a life changing experience. She went back to

Thought Manifestation

The Universe Just Conspired Last night, before to Remind Me of a retiring, I was trying to think of a marketing promotion for Mystic Valuable Lesson. Warrior, something that would emphasize the overwhelmingly positive response I’ve received from readers. The image that came to me was that of the lonely Maytag repairman, whose products were so reliable that no one ever had a problem. Every time the phone rang, the repairman would grab it hoping that it would be a complaint. I thought to myself, “what if I write about a fictitious reader that returned a book, drawing attention to this exception?” I dismissed the idea as untruthful. thing has its own unique frequency. You automatically attract energies of a similar frequency. The energy of a thought will attract similar energies to it. I was familiar with these principles, which form the basis of many mystic visualization exercises. (See 3 Steps to Manifesting Your Ideal Life.) What surprised me was not that my thought manifested or that it did so quickly. Thoughts can sometimes manifest instantly. Neither was it that so little time had been spent thinking this particular thought. What was shocking was that I had manifested a NEGATIVE outcome, by reflecting on a very POSITIVE situation. That was my lesson. Even though my conscious mind was hearing positive thoughts, such as “there has not been a single unhappy reader,” it’s a different story for the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between positive or negative thoughts. The words “no, never, not” have no meaning for the subconscious mind! What my subconscious mind heard was “blah blah blah, unhappy reader.” It didn’t matter that there

weren’t any; all it heard was the focus of my thought. Then in less than 12 hours, an unhappy reader manifested to demonstrate the principle to me. It was as if a huge, delicious donut was staring me in the face, which was so big it didn’t have a hole. But instead of looking at the plump donut, I was thinking, “this donut has NO hole.” The universe heard me and quickly manifested a hole. You may have heard the adage, “don’t focus on what you don’t want, focus on what you do want.” This is a good way of ensuring that you stay positive and avoid the negative. But this is still not good enough. You have to phrase your desire so that there are only positive elements in it. Otherwise your subconscious mind will misinterpret what you’re saying. For example, let’s say you suffer from headaches. You might be content to be “pain-free.” Desiring this outcome is not going to help. You should strive to be healthy and clear headed. In other words, you should choose to:

Be healthy, not pain-free. Be pro-peace, not anti-war. Be sober, not anti-drug. Be pro-environment, not anti-pollution. Be wealthy, not debt-free. hat to Do When Your Pet Has Allergies! Dear Lori, Our dog Anrakuji, ‘Raku’, has intense allergies. Many are environmental and have been defined, though perhaps some have been missed. We aren’t sure about food allergies, but we think he’s on food he’s okay with. We are wondering what we can do to help him? Thanks! - Lise & Olivia Dear Lise & Olivia, First, I am sorry to hear about Raku’s allergies. I know they have been itchy and uncomfortable for Raku. I am also sorry for your challenges with this situation. For anyone who has ever dealt with allergies of any kind, they are almost always super challenging to heal and resolve. As an energy healer, I have come to know that all skin allergies are actually fundamentally related to boundary invasion (emotional, physical, spir-

itual, mental) usually by someone who is relatively close to us. This close person(s) to does not necessarily mean a friend or family member. In fact, in Raku’s case, it sounds as if there are many people too coming into the home or his personal environment who are literally invading his space and it also seems like there are some intrusive family members too. Understand this: Raku is YOUR healer. He is absorbing YOUR emotional, mental and physical issues. Moreover, from an energetic point of view, the allergies are not food or environmentally caused, even though those are contributing factors. We humans search for the cause if all illnesses in the physical world and rarely realize that the physical environment actually has very little to do with the initial cause. This root cause is always energies which are out of alignment with love, and those energies fundamentally begin with our thoughts, emotions and feelings. The mind body-connection on these issues is too strong to overlook and the bond between you and Raku is also too strong to ignore when determining the core factors so that the overall issue, allergies, can be fully resolved. Look at where your boundaries are being invaded ~ where do you feel as if

your space (including physical, intellectual, emotional and energetic) is being disrespected and/or dishonored? This is where you’ll find the heart of the issue. That said, in my 25 years of working with animals and studying proper nutrition, I can tell you dried pet kibble and canned pet foods are certainly the leading culprit from a physical perspective. I highly recommend getting your dog off every kind of canned pet food and dry kibble. No matter what your vet or anyone else says about these brands, they are all junk; and in my opinion, a waste of money. You may as well feed your dog cookies. Instead, I highly recommend switching to a species appropriate, balanced, raw food diet. They are easy to make at home if budget is an issue. I would also add some raw organic coconut oil and hemp oil to his food, since they are antifungal, anti-bacterial, and really great for skin, coat and fur and also have rich healthy omegas. In addition, give Raku topical baths in warm, brewed camomile tea, which is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and extremely soothing. With all that said, here’s what I get directly from Raku: “There are people from the past coming in and out a lot. Invading our personal

space. These people bring something in that is old (energy) and doesn’t feel clean to me. Some of them are family members. Some of them are just strangers who I am nice to, but don’t really want invading our space. I like my own, comfortable private space. I don’t like it when my space is invaded. I don’t like being left alone, which also sometimes happens, I like being with my family and having our time together. My mom is too polite and nice, so she’s not really being honest about how she feels inside. She wants her own space too. She’s studying and working too hard and trying to be flexible about things, and so so I am I. But I would like her to start noticing all the things that she’s trying so hard to hide away and not mind thinking that she’s compromising so that she can be happier. She’s doing too much compromising. We both just want some peace and quiet and get back to enjoying the simple things in life. ”

I realize there are two moms in the house, but this dog seems to be more bonded with one of them (I am getting Lise). It seems as though there have been some disagreements between the moms.
