He is one of the leading authorities on vibrational sound therapy. He’s been featured on CBS and CNN News and numerous other shows. Interviewed by Tony Camacho WP: Take us back to your early

childhood. You’ve shared you were four years old and you began singing at weddings.

W: Yeah, I started singing at Italian

weddings for a dollar. I was six and I was on The Amateur Hour, a TV show. When I was about seven or eight I got stage fright, terrified, due to my father. He was real aggressive with me.

WP: A task master it sounds like. W: Yeah, I turned everything within.

My mother was a dancer and I have always been very close to my mother, both of my parents have passed now. Mother taught me how to dance. And it gave me confidence.

WP:Oh, very nice! W: And I got a lot of girlfriends. WP:O.K. That was a good thing. So

there you were singing and dancing. Did you wear a costume? Did you dress in an Elvis outfit?

W: Oh no, I was only four, I was just

singing. I stopped, I was too shy.

W: The male dancers got all the girl

friends all the way through to high school. I finally got in to the boys chorus. I could hide out there. I became a featured soloist. When I got out of high school I studied music.

WP: So high school was pretty typical, there was nothing spectacular.

W: There is something that we should

discuss, being a rebel kid at 15 or 16. We had like a fraternity. We would do crazy things, drink and go to wild parties. We went to burlesque theaters and forged our bus passes to get in.

WP: Oh, yes, forged the ID. And you enjoyed your outing?

W: Yes, we would go back regularly. I got to know the strippers; they were like movie stars to me.

WP: Absolutely! Sure! They were way

WP: What were you pursuing? W: I was a Psychology major and Business Administration minor. I was always a seeker. I started studying the history of world religion, and I started studying Buddhism.

WP: Oh, very nice. W: I was a gracious seeker but I was

also dropping acid, trying to find God. That led me to Krishnamurti and the Buddhist philosophy, and then the psychological aspect that eventually lead me to books about Sound Yoga

WP: Oh, yes, the healing properties of acid and power of sound.

W: A book called Yoga and the Bible.

WP: You were on the cutting edge

W: There is a book called Path of the Masters by Dr. Julian Johnson that was an amazingly inspiring book. Also that in India there are probably more gurus than there are disciples.

WP: There were lots of avatars roaming

the earth, perhaps as many as there are now. real ones don’t advertise. And he talked about his teacher who brought sound meditation to the U.S. I think back in 1930’s and 40’s and out of that Eckankar, and other paths came. I started reading about his life and his books were so filled with truth and inspiration. I learned that the present master who took on the sound current mastership was coming to America; I went there with my wife. We could not believe, we both started spontaneously crying and saw this light emanating. I committed to the path; it’s been close to 40 years.

WP: I wanted to say that it is quite a re-

markable commitment. You were ingesting all of this information; it was really resonating with you. So why do you think that happened for you?

W: Well I could say that it was karma. I

started meditating every day and it was like I was licking a stone. I tried but I was not getting it. I sat down again and meditated and something opened up, this light opened, I felt myself being sucked in. It scared the shit out of me. Then it left.

WP: Well, you got a taste, a huge invitation to continue taking steps.

W: Right, and every time I was ready to toss it, I had an experience like that. It was about opening the heart to love.

WP: Beautiful! So was your wife supportive? She encouraged you to participate and meditate to pursue the path?

W: Initially she was. When I first discov-

ered the books that I started looking into we were not married. We were kind of living together. I was in love with this other girl. She shows up when Kathy and I are living together and we are getting very close. Kathy who became my wife was just very openhearted. But I was in love with Mary. She was a conservative catholic

And when I researched it, I got to interview and talk to some of these people that had fatal diseases, severe environmental disease, allergies, cancer, some amazing things, and it blew my mind that they had turned things around with this sound machine.

W: But you had to find the real ones, the

W: How old was the daughter? W: She was five years old. But Kathy,

WP: Wow! W: And I am spending time with Mary and we are in this intense relationship and it was everything I ever wanted. But now she is into all of these drugs. She is doing coke. My heart was so conflicted. Kathy is just sitting at home with her daughter patiently.

WP: Yeah! Wow! Sounds like a very painful place.

W: And she’s not freaking out. I had this epiphany. I called Mary, and told her, “I love you, but I can’t be with you. I went back to Kathy and her understanding and patience inspired me to get married.

WP: That is fantastic! W: Yes, and we immediately had my

daughter. Unfortunately, the karma changes. My dream was to always sing and through the spiritual practice and the marriage, I developed the confidence and security within myself to go for it.

WP: So you hadn’t been singing for quite a while? So how old were you at this point?

W: I was like in my early 20’s and one of my friends was the road manager with the band Chicago. We decided to put this band together. It was my first band and his first band.

WP: Very cool. What was the name of the band?

W: I think the first band was called

Points. We put this band together and we found this drummer that had played Continued on page 8

with Aretha Franklin. We were doing sort of jazzy versions of Motown songs. We had an agent and we worked some gigs, but it was tough.

WP: Had to work a day job? W: Yes, took a job in a clothing store, then I started driving a taxi cab. We rehearsed and played gigs. It was a grind. Kathy was nursing, we juggled our schedules, but something happened with her. She went south. She was taking pills. I would end up having to take care of the kids. It was just getting crazy.

WP:Are you together today? W: Oh no. She wanted this dominated

male figure. I use to be like that, I began looking how to become more spiritual, how to honor women. I was looking for her to be responsible and I was frustrated. We were married seven years and after six years and her step daughter, you know the five year old is now thirteen years old and she catches her mother with a friend of mine, in the alley making out. It broke my heart. We had to split up.

WP: And when you did that did you take your daughter?

W: No, I felt so guilty about having my

daughter and even my step daughter that I loved. I just felt that I had to go back. She changed like night and day. She did not want me around. I was just devoted to the kids. She put up a restraining order against me. She turned into this monster, I lost almost everything. I lost it and went out on my own.

WP: This is in your late twenties or early thirties?

W: Yes, basically, late twenties. I moved

in with some friends out in the country. I could just meditate and I was celibate, I could heal myself. It took me two years to heal. Then I met this girl who played piano and we became friends. She was talented. That is how I got back into music. I actually put a band together and I now I have a lot more confidence.

WP: What was the name of your second band?

W: The second band was earlier called Uranus but then the next band was called the Wayne Parry Project. We played around lounges.

WP: Did you feel like you were pursuing your musical career and pursuing your spiritual path simultaneously?

W: Yes! The guys in the band use to make fun of me with the beer and the groupies and the pot. I was not into it. I

didn’t want to be on the road. I wanted to be with my daughter, we got very close. I went back to Chicago and found a band. It was an income stream. So in the daytime a couple of friends of mine started the Vegetarian Health Society. They manufactured vegetarian meat substitutes. Their big product was a low calorie cookie, vegetarian. The long and short of the story is, I find out these guys are putting sugar in the cookies. I started to distrust them.

WP: Oh, certainly. So, they capitalized on the name.

W:They were advertising this 21 Calorie Cookie.

WP: You were passionate about going out and selling it as that and it turned out to be something very different.

W: Exactly, it hurt my heart. I thought

these were my friends. I had some conflicts with them. I took two weeks off and I came out to Los Angeles in search of the proverbial record deal. I meet this beautiful blond, she was so sweet, it was love at first sight. She came out to Chicago to meet my friends.

WP: Did it eventually lead to marriage?

W: No. Didn’t happen. WP: So you’re in L.A. were you are creating a career? So tell me what year and what time you began to crave the idea of teaching and healing, doing that type of work?

W: I was doing a radio show. Then I

went to Vegas for a little awhile, I was singing with a ten piece band at the Rivera. But I decided to go back to L.A. to get this radio gig. I ended up getting my own spot, I got to advertise KCLA FM with my station. I became a music critic and film critic. They gave me this little show, I had two shows and I was always into metaphysics. I wanted to do something cutting edge and so I started Star Touch and I interviewed some celebrities, but I wasn’t interested in being the next Arsenio Hall or Jay Leno. I took a risk and I changed the name of the show from Star Touch to Heart Torch. I got Timothy Leary to come on the show. He was such a hard interview. But by the end of the interview he gave me a hug and said you know this is the best interview I have ever done. So I really decided to go with the show.

WP: I think that was fantastic that you

were able to hold a space for him just so he could be who he was and not be the critic that many other people had been for him. You did a wonderful job inviting him to be transparent, to show himself in a very different way. That’s beautiful.

W: Well it inspired me. I started to

make phone calls, for healers, psychics, channelers, anyone cutting edge. I set this precedent, bringing in my own

WP:This is what brought you closer to solidifying your relationship with sound healing?

W: Yes. She invited me to her hotel. She

hooked me up to some machine and she is playing all of these frequencies. I felt it through my whole body. I am seeing light. I am feeling euphoria. It fascinated me.

WP: So then that led you to investigating that process?

W: I learned how to operate the sound

machine, the frequencies of the elements and the periodic table and it was very left brain. I was reminded of a quote by Edgar Cayce from the 1950’s, “Sound will be the medicine of the future.” I devoted all my time to learning sound healing. I did it for free for five or six months.

WP: It eventually bought you to a place of creating a book.

W: Well, I realized that if I am serious

And I eventually pioneered the work because of research that indicated, of all the sounds on the planet they tested people using blood pressure oxygen saturation, brainwave studies, sound machines, musical instruments and environmental sounds everything and at the end of the research the most profoundly effective sounds on the human body were the multiple and overtones and harmonics of the human voice.

WP: Oh, very interesting! W: It was four times better than the

sound machine I was using. And then I learned from scientists around the country that they knew this research that I had discovered, but they were not publicizing it, that the human voice was the most powerful instrument. But rath-

er than using the voice, because I queried these scientists, I talked to some of these scientist, William Tiller.

WP: William Tiller, yes I’ve met him, an amazing man.

W: And I talked to some of these other

scientists. And I said if you guys are aware that the voice is the most powerful sound affecting the human body why are you not promoting the voice and getting involved in this research? Why are you dealing with these ma-

If you look at the human voice on the oscilloscope, it looks kind of like a mountain top, it keeps changing and it is unpredictable and all they did was create a synthesizer tone generator, but the difference was that it created this complex wave form pattern. And therein was the secret to Sharry’s success. And when I researched it, I got to interview and talk to some of these people that had fatal diseases, severe environmental disease, allergies, cancer, some amazing

things, and it blew my mind that they had turned things around with this sound machine. I was so passionate learning this technology and doing this work for free. And then I find this out and I ask the scientist why, and they give me two responses that totally took the wind out of my sails at that time, although later it changed my whole career direction.

WP: So I want to bring this closer to your experience briefly, as you embarked upon this journey, as you learned more and more about the voice.

W: Well, that was the profound jour-

ney that changed my life, because the answers they gave me indicated they did not know or understand the voice. They wanted to create a Unified Field Theory that could be reproduced in the laboratory, which did not make sense to me, but that was the first answer. The second thing that they said was that people and their experience(s) don’t have enough knowledge for the human body, let alone the human voice. They are more impressed with blinking red lights and view meters, and sliders and technology that was coming into a lot of popularity. This just blew my mind and it just turned me off. I did not know what to do for a month or so. I was questioning whether I should go back to sing or something else, I didn’t know. And then I realized that this could be a plus. I have a background in voice and if the human voice is powerful, let me learn this. I have never read a book on toning or anything like this. And I had these chronic kidney stones for several years. I had this kidney stone attack. So I started breathing, meditating and doing yoga and breathing, and things that I knew to help pain. And these sounds started coming through me. I did not know they were coming through me at first, I thought they were coming from behind me. And what I did not realize at the time is that they were overtones, I had never done it is a singer so I just kind of went with it. They went up and I would continue again. After about half an hour I went to the bathroom. After a while I stand there taking a leak and I passed the kidney stone. It was hard for me to believe, but I fished it out of the toilet and I had the stone analyzed. I sent it to the medical center the Continued on page 12

How can I detox my body and mind from the past relationships and start new?” Medical Intuitive (Robin): WhenDana asked her question I saw in my mind’s eye a big package wrapped in a bow. What this means is that Dana wants a man who is a perfect package. She wants to show off her man to others as if he is a prize. Dana is looking for a fantasy relationship. She doesn’t want to know her partner’s problems because she “wants what she wants” and this makes her closed to the truth. This “truth” is right in front of her nose, as spirit showed me that many clues were given to Dana from the get go. Dana resists getting to know the “ugly” which is in all of us. None of us are perfect, though we are all perfect in the eyes of God. Dana is addicted to men with negative addictions because she doesn’t want to see the real truth. She is looking for someone who is perfect and is closed to seeing her partner’s imperfections. Because of this, her partner’s imperfections will become stronger and stronger until she is forced to either “get it” or break. This is

what is causing her depression and low energy. Dana is overly focused on men and not focused enough on herself. Because she is unable to see, accept and own up to her problems she is also unable to do so for a partner. She hides her feelings and emotions by drinking caffeine daily and eating sugar which masks her true self and keeps her body numb. When the body is numb it is impossible to find the root cause of depression. Dana’s addiction is to superficiality and perfectionism. She wants a pretty package consisting of a knight and a castle. Dana wants to take care of men so she doesn’t have to care for herself. Dana will not be able to find a healthy mate until she herself becomes healthy. Her cure is to not be afraid of feeling her pain. She must listen to her spirit’s cry and to her bodies’ complaints and act upon them. Dana would benefit by being open to herself and her imperfections and in so doing will

open to others. She must love and focus on herself instead of on men until she feels whole again. This may take time. If Dana could let go of men for 6 months to focus on herself before she ventures into a new relationship, it would be a healthier one. Self-care must be Dana’s number one priority. Otherwise, men will become a scape goat. She can do this by asking herself the questions; “How do I feel? What do I think? What do I like to do? Did I exercise today? Did I drink enough water? How can I make myself happy?” It will also be helpful for Dana to spend more time with female friends and to fill herself with the colors orange and pink to help bring in female receptivity. When Dana’s energy becomes more loving toward herself she will attract men who are healthier. Dana must inflate herself with self-love by eating healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits, seeds nuts, legumes and few grains. She must smell the flowers, open up to herself and feel her female nature of receptivity.

Dana must learn to make herself happy by becoming grateful for what she has and not rely on a man to do so. When she is ready to meet men again she must become more open with her eyes, heart and all of her senses. She must take the man into every cell of her being and fully embrace him for who he is. If she doesn’t like what she sees then she can let him go. She must become responsible for her own happiness and be open to the truth in others by saying, “I’m so grateful to know now that you lie. Now I can make a decision.” She must also tell her partner HER problems and be open to hearing his. This trust allows for a sacred union to flow. next day. I took an x-ray of my kidneys and the doctor said your stone is gone. I had the doctor analyze it, it was made out of calcium oxalate like most stones. Some are uric acid but most are calcium oxalate. That was the first validation that I had of the power of the human voice.

WP: Sound. W: Not just sound, but the human voice. And then I started reading some books on toning. I started concentrating the sound on my kidney because I did not want to focus on kidney stones, I want to get to the source of it. So that started my journey. I never had kidney stones again. I had chronic knee pain and I healed that.

WP: Wayne Perry speaks about that

process in his book Sound Medicine, because he has essentially gone through his entire body and cured a lot of different issues for himself as well as a host of other people. And I want to speak to the issue that he has been around here West L.A., West Hollywood area doing healing course work, doing one-onones. And he has been at all the big events, Conscious Life Expos and other events and for those of you who have not heard of him, make the contact. He does some intro classes at his studio in West Hollywood. Now I want to come to a place that I come to with virtually everybody, and the question (since the interview is for the Whole Person Magazine): is Wayne Perry a whole person?

W: Well I hope to be, I don’t know if

anybody in this dimension is completely whole. We are imperfect beings, but that is what I aspire to, and it is the whole voice; I call it that in my book, it is the whole person in a sense, I think. That is the goal that is only achieved through devotion to spirit and the sound current which is in every human being, and to get to that place which is to meditate and get to that place to surrender to God, to surrender to the sound current which took me many years to do. All the years of practice that you are talking about. I have told the story that I have learned, I have traveled, I have done the

workshops, even in England, in Egypt, in Italy and Japan and all over the world, and had done these workshops and expos. In the mid-to-late 90’s, I even brought out a DVD and I was featured on CNN, and that was my heyday of bringing some awareness to the public. Because initially people would laugh, and it took me 15 years or so to really establish some credibility. But the real, real story is when I was able to surrender. I did not know I had control issues. I had fear and anger issues and I had stuff that I was so busy taking care of everyone else I was not addressing that.

WP: And the story that you want to

share and understand and follow is about how this process brought you and your voice into a very different space.

W: Right, and two near death experiences that I had.

WP: That is remarkable. W: It was a severe car accident where

my legs were broken, and my hand, and I was in the hospital in rehab, and I had lung diseases and oxygen tanks in the back of my car. I was on oxygen for two and a half years and doing seminars and workshops with my tanks in the car, because who is going to listen to a healer with tubes in his nose. But I had developed that because I had hepatitis C and it was wrecking my liver and I felt like a hypocrite talking about healing when I had hepatitis C. So I go back to my car and I am hitting up on oxygen, but after the accident it put me in rehab and I had to focus on myself. I healed the lung disease and I took the tubes out of my nose, and then there is this call from the doctor who said,” He won’t put the tubes in.” And I said, “My lungs are fine.” He tested me every couple of hours and this was in July and August of 2010, I have not been on oxygen since. I had pulmonary syndrome and the doctors had no explanation for it, and then I healed my hepatitis C that I had been diagnosed with in 2001, I had no symptoms of. I was a vegan and I was healthy, and I did not go to doctors, and I had no symptoms. Little did I know that it had destroyed my liver. I had cirrhosis of

the liver, but I had no symptoms. They told me that it was incurable and there was an epidemic. I don’t know if you are aware of it, but they have guesstimated that people have had hepatitis that doctors, and we, do not see. There is an epidemic in which they estimated that over 8 million people had hepatitis C. I told them I can deal with this and they laughed at me. They took labs every week for two months, the doctor is whispering to the nurse, I said, “Tell me what is going on?” We don’t see the hepatitis C in your body, but we know that it is in there somewhere. We are going to go in there and do more extensive lab work.” They couldn’t find it. They told me that I was the first case that they knew of where the hepatitis C was gone and was healed. They did not acknowledge that I healed it, but they referred patients to me and still do until this day. They send me patients from time to time, and they were referring patients and I just worked with a Russian doctor. She was freaking out. They used to think that it was sexually transmitted, and now they know that it isn’t. I put people on sound prescriptions, so to speak.

WP: So quite a remarkable story of the

healing of Wayne Perry through this process and a living proof of the efficacy of it, how this process has incredible curing powers. I want to close by saying that I invite everyone to pick up the book, perhaps make a point to see him at one of his seminars. He is quite remarkable, and I want to say to you, Wayne Perry, how I really appreciate this dedication that you have had on your journey. There are a lot of events that could have come up, that could have side tracked you, but you stayed on the path until this day. It has created an opportunity for us readers of the magazine to also embrace the beliefs and the tools that you have, and I want to say thank you for sharing and thank you for the interview.

How Do I know It’s Real?

you think that

you’ve been visited by a loved one in spirit, you’re probably right! As the interest in the afterlife and acceptance of spirit communication grows, spirit visitations increase as well. These experiences can also raise questions. I receive innumerable emails from people wondering if something they’ve experienced is a real spirit communication or their own wishful thinking. To help sort through the confusion, I’d like to highlight some of the more common ways that loved ones in spirit say “hello.” I’ve also included an exercise called “The Patchwork Quilt” that can help answer the question, How Do I Know It’s Real? One of the easiest ways for spirits to visit us is in dreams. Visitation dreams differ from regular dreams in that they will seem more organized and may contain everyday activities (like sitting down together sipping tea). Another indication

that a dream is a visitation is that colors in the dream are intense and indescribable. Sometimes spirits will appear in dreams in recognizable ways but sometimes not. However, after a visitation dream we will often wake with a “knowing” feeling that there was an actual interaction. Music is another way that loved ones in spirit let us know that they’re near. A favorite song may start playing when the car radio is turned on, or as happened to one mother, a daughter in spirit selected what music played on her iPod. Six months before she died at the age of 23, Alicia’s daughter became obsessed with Elton John’s ballads and played his music constantly. Alicia, also a music lover, has an iPod packed with more than 6,000 songs. One day when Alicia was crying and saying to her daughter that she couldn’t go on without her, she turned to the iPod for comfort. Although the iPod was on shuffle, one Elton John song after another played. Just when Alicia thought that this was the result of the iPod going off shuffle, a Christmas song would play. Alicia’s daughter loves Christmas and Elton John. Alicia is convinced that the iPod anomaly was her daughter’s way of saying, “I’m with you.”

Spirits may use numbers as signatures. A mother posted the following story on my Facebook page: “My son had a fascination with airplanes from the time he was very small. Now since he has passed, whenever we look at the clock the time is 7:37 or 7:47. These were his favorite planes. He also saved pennies. When we need to know that he’s with us, we always find a penny in the most unusual places or under the oddest circumstances. I wish that I had a penny for every time I’ve heard a “pennies from heaven” story. Almost always, pennies from heaven look newly minted no matter how old they may be. These days, the spirits seem to be taking inflation into account because there are reports of quarters appearing out of nowhere as well. Coins aren’t the only gifts that that the spirits give. A young woman named Carey told me that she had a collection of white feathers which she was convinced were her mother’s way of letting her know that she was around. “One day I noticed a white feather floating in a muddy puddle. One of the best ways I’ve developed to help people recognize the difference between their own imagination and actual communications from spirits, is to create what I call “The Patchwork Quilt.” This exercise is a way for you to assemble bits and pieces of spirit communication which may reveal a deeper, more significant pattern. During our daily routines, there might be little things that happen here and there which make you think, “Could that be the one I love saying ‘hello’”? It is easy to dismiss these little incidents as coincidence or figments of the imagination. However, by making a record of what happens and when, patterns begin to emerge. Keep a small pad with you or use your smartphone’s memo option to record anything that seems as though it could be a greeting from the spirits. Don’t worry about whether it seems significant or not. It could be as simple as seeing a license plate with your loved one’s name on it or smelling your mother’s favorite perfume when there is no one nearby.

If you have a dream of someone in spirit, write it down. If an orb appears in a photo, write it down. Record everything including where and when the events occurred. Don’t be alarmed if time goes by and it seems as though nothing is happening. Sometimes activity increases around holidays and family activities. If your friends and family members keep logs of their own, you may be surprised at the patterns that can emerge when you compare notes. The important thing to remember is that your loved ones in spirit are trying to reach you. With an open mind, an open heart and an attitude of gratitude, you’ll be ready to hear from them.

After 2,000 years, ancient knowledge and sacred texts containing immortal enlightenment information practiced by the highest masters on earth has returned west. Millions of people are not enlightened right now for one main reason. Take a guess…any idea what it may be? It is the same reason that many people are not able to be healed. Here are some clues: Most of the masters mastered this in order for them to be enlightened and gain spiritual abilities. I said “most masters” since a few top divine souls were born without this. The good news is that everyone is equal and has the potential to master this and become a pure, divine diamond soul now. Anyone can be like Jesus, Buddha, and Parvati, however, it takes overcoming this in order to do so.

Last month we explored the subject of love and power and how these are two essential ingredients for spiritual success in this age. However, the answer to the question above rests in the one thing that must be washed first in order for divine love and power to abundantly flow in your life. The enlightened masters had human bodies and they all were dedicated, determined and devotional in different ways. Saint Shirdi Sai Baba taught shraddha and saburi – meaning, faith and patience. These are all important ingredients for attaining higher levels of consciousness however, there is another

reason why we do not see more saints yet here in the west. Saint and avatar Sri Kaleshwar taught me the reason that millions of people are not enlightened is due to their blocks. It sounds simple but the solution to washing one’s blocks can take either one minute, days, months, years, or lifetimes depending on how fast you choose to let them go and work through them. We have blocks until we become fully divine. It is our responsibility to not stay stuck in any one of our blocks but overcome them. Today we will explore what is a block along with the top common blocks people are choosing to suffer from today.

What is a block? The definition of a block in this context according to Merriam-Webster dictionary is: block verb to make unsuitable for passage or progress by obstruction

A block is a negative thought, word, or action taken that originates in the mind and destroys love, truth, peace, joy and connection with self and therefore with others, and hinders progress. All blocks reside in body consciousness. A block is a conscious choice fueled from false negative selfprogramming that ultimately causes suffering and prevents one from being happy and fulfilling their divine life purpose which includes enlightenment. Have you ever wondered how Buddha attained enlightenment? Or how Jesus was divine? Or what Parvati did to gain her spiritual abilities? The ascended masters gained enlightenment and spiritual abilities first because they either had no blocks or washed their blocks. When Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago, he came in enlightened and had no blocks. Others who were born as humans and became divine, came in with human blocks but worked to overcome them; you can too, and grow the divinity that lives in you to shine out the darkness. Blocks prevent us from being healed and holding divine energy. Have you ever known someone who was sick and nothing could help them? Or maybe that person is you. Blocks prevent healing from happening. I have seen people receive amazing healings, witness divine miracles, and be blessed with transmissions of energy yet not be able to hold the healing or loose the divine power bestowed upon them…why? It is mainly due to their blocks.

Blocks keep us from knowing why we are here. Blocks stop us from being aware of where we will go after this

lifetime. Even in everyday experiences, if one chooses anger over listening and loving, they sacrifice the wisdom of the lesson being presented in that moment. Saint and avatar Sathya Sai Baba said it well:

“Desire destroys devotion, anger destroys wisdom, greed destroys work – hence these bad qualities must be sacrificed”. Once one overcomes blocks and sustains the vibration of love, truth, and peace, and takes the right actions, they move further along on the path of enlightenment and experience heavenly bliss on earth. Some saints have spent countless years preparing to have even one direct divine experience and have crashed energetically as a result of even one of their blocks and like a board game, had to go back home and start over. Any one block can set you back on your life path and even cause you to be stuck, crash, loose your energy, and not grow as a result. Your personal blocks block you from progressing until you overcome them. It is your job to master your blocks and rise above them and turn the blocks that are all negative into steppingstones to help you advance and be successful; This is one of the markings of a saint. For example, one of my blocks is stubbornness. Kaleshwar taught me to turn my stubbornness from a negative block into a powerful spiritual tool by learning to be stubborn only for the good. I highly recommend block-work to help anyone become more self-aware, and actively heal their blocks to advance and evolve faster and not set oneself back in life and in the advanced stages in spirituality.

Top Blocks Today Millions of people have not succeeded and not attained enlightenment because of their blocks. Kaleshwar said that power automatically comes when you do certain processes but if you are not carrying a loving nature and are carrying these types of blocks below, you will not succeed in the long run.

Feeling left out and rejected 13. Judgment 14. Jealousy 15. Egoism 16. Self-beat 17. Self-justification (need to be right and making others wrong) 18. And if you wonder, “Why bother?” you can rest assured these mystic virtues will be held in reserve and made available to you, when you need them.

a long term mystic told me I reminded him of a “rosebud.” It didn’t seem very flattering to me at the time. In my view, I was progressing very rapidly on my spiritual path and “rosebud” seemed to imply “beginner.” I expected to be a full-blown master very soon.

To an outside observer, and perhaps sometimes to you, the process of assimilating these experiences may look like stagnation. It’s analogous to what elementary science students observe when they’re asked to heat an ice cube and take temperature readings. Students watch the temperature rise steadily with the application of heat, but are puzzled when the temperature plateaus at 32 degrees F (0 degrees C). Most students expect the temperature to continue rising steadily upward, but it will not resume its upward trend until all the ice has melted.

Of course, he was right. In our instant-gratification society, we have been conditioned to expect that anything we desire will be obtained in short order. If you’re feeling uncomfortable, you’re taught to take a drug to banish the discomfort. If you desire better health, greater wealth or more love, you are instructed to sign up for a special program (requiring no prior training and no effort) and you will obtain it straight away.

So it is for the student of mysticism. There will be plateaus. There will also be apparent setbacks.

The mystic path is seldom straight. Even in the face of earnest intentions, sincere dedication and adherence to universal spiritual principles, there may come times when it appears you are just not making any progress. Sometimes, you may even feel like you’re regressing!

What I have learned has clearly demonstrated one truth about such times They’re normal.

Oftentimes, a setback will occur immediately after a breakthrough. The knowledge and experiences that you (your ego and your higher self ) are manifesting in this physical world must be embraced, contemplated, understood and become a part of your being before they will be transmuted into mystic virtues like wisdom, humility and compassion.

This is also commonplace. Subconsciously, you may invite conflict into your life, as a way for you to demonstrate mastery of the subject. When, you can face your adversaries and succeed (both internally and externally), you will have further embodied the lessons into your being.

Neither should you be afraid of asking for help. All the avatars who founded our major religions received guidance and teachings from mystic masters. Everyone must be allowed to fail.

So whatever your spiritual tradition, whatever your stage on the path, you are destined to be a beautiful flower in the garden of the universe.

At some point, there may come a time when you feel you have progressed. There is no need to “announce” your newfound mastery to the world. This is your ego attempting to regain control of your spiritual progress. It’s similar to an entrepreneur who may be the epitome of humility and open-mindedness while he is busy trying to raise capital, but who suddenly considers himself a

oes My Rescue Cat Want an Abortion? Dear Lori, I recently rescued a pregnant, feral kitty. I am concerned about what to do. The veterinarians are recommending aborting the fetuses to avoid more overpopulation. I want to do what the pregnant kitty wants - I want to honor her wishes. Does she want to carry this litter to term or would she prefer that we terminate the pregnancy, as the vet recommends? Also, if she does indeed want to keep the babies, are they heathy enough to be born alive and well? Finally, if they are born, when is the right time to spay/neuter the mom and the babies? logue is not delighted and thrilled to have a human who is ready, willing and able to connect with them telepathically, and to provide an open ear to listen and acknowledge their needs, wants and desires. That said, there are seldom instances when I initiate a dialogue with an animal and before I even say hello, I immediately hear the impassioned plea from an animal who is literally begging and energetically ‘screaming’ to be heard and acknowledged. Dialoguing with this cat and her passionate plea was one of those situations. From the very moment I made the connection with this cat, even before I asked her to speak with me, even before I asked or said anything, the first thing I heard from her was this: “Please don’t take my kitties! Please don’t let them take my kitties!!!” This cat was completely aware that decisions about the welfare of her offspring were being made by the humans around her. She knew that she needed someone to hear and understand her point of view and her choice in the matter and she was absolutely clear about her desire to keep her offspring. The moment she was heard by me and became aware that her choice would be honored, this cat immediately began to relax and rest. As I

empathically felt her energy, there was a release of stress from her body and spirit. She settled into a sense of greater ease and tranquility. When I asked her unborn kitties about the health and well being of their bodies, they collectively indicated that they were indeed healthy and strong, although one of them seemed to indicate that he had already chose to depart from the body as a result of choosing not to be aborted.

Fascinating, eh? Regardless of our personal views on abortion, pet overpopulation, or pet sterilization, this kitty was very clear about what she wanted and what her choice was. My responsibility as the animal communicator is to clearly and accurately translate the information without any personal bias or interpretation, just as a human language translator would. Finally, regarding your question about when to spay/neuter, It is highly inadvisable to spay and neuter before their bodies are ready - they have to mature enough that their hormones are properly matured to support them into the longevity of their lives. In our haste to ensure that animals don’t over re-produce, we have been spaying and neutering to early. The newest science and most progressive veterinarians say that animal babies must have enough time for their secondary hormones to mature before

we spay and neuter them, citing as they age, their secondary hormones will continue to support their bodies into their adulthood. The evidence about this is overwhelming; animals who have had enough time to let their secondary hormones mature before being spayed and neutered live live longer, healthier lives than animals who are spayed/neutered too young (before approximately 6 months of age). That means that just before they show evidence of being old enough to breed, you must responsibly separate the males from the females and then spay/neuter immediately thereafter. Bravo, Priya, for honoring this cat with the opportunity to be heard and for gifting her the freedom to choose for herself. I honor you as a rescue worker and animal lover for making a contribution to animal consciousness and choice and for being responsible enough to acknowledge that animals do indeed have a voice.
