Family Fun in Wichita Falls
The University Kiwanis Park just off Southwest Parkway is a 60-acre park used by about 40,000 people each year. The park is home to four lighted baseball fields, two bathrooms, a large covered pavilion with ten tables, three picnic shelters, and three barbeque grills. It also has two playgrounds, one geared for children 5 to 12 years old and one designed for children 2 to 5 years old. The park has the only prairie dog town in the park system and the only area designated exclusively for flying kites.
The new addition (featured here) is geared with equipment and activities specifically for 2 to 5 year old children, and is the only equipment in Wichita Falls designed for this age group. It features a Hedra Scout central play structure, an Omni Spin, toggle riders, cozy dome, and a ZipKruz. It is located next to the 5 to 12 year old playground so parents can monitor children in both play areas. If you are looking for some new entertainment for young children in Wichita Falls, this attraction is a must-see!
