Explore the Outdoors in Wichita Falls
Love music and the outdoors? The new Sound Garden in Lucy Park offers visitors free access to percussive musical instruments in a beautiful outdoor setting. Lucy Park is a 178-acre regional park located in the heart of the city. The park is in a bend of the Wichita River which gives it a truly natural feel with huge pecans, cottonwoods, and numerous other species of native and introduced trees.
Located just past the log cabin and swimming pool near the Lucy Park pavilion and playground you will find the new Sound Garden. Fun for all ages, these instruments were installed so children and adults can discover and explore music together in an outdoor setting. Positioned amongst the natural beauty of the park, the sounds of these durable instruments will ring for generations.
