2023 Wichita Falls Texas Spring - Summer Visitor Guide
Calling all future makers, engineers, artists and entrepreneurs! Let your creative and curious spirit run wild at CrashWorks STEAM Studio & Makerspace. Using the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, CrashWorks aims to redefine what education looks like in an unconventional way. By using primarily recycled, everyday materials, they hope to help their patrons see all of the potential in the world around them. From dissecting the parts of a computer, to completing a woodworking project or whipping up something in the lab, creators young and old can immerse themselves in hands-on, exploratory learning.

CrashWorks is the perfect downtown destination for families, where kids can spend hours creating and never get bored. Now, with the opening of their new location at 900 Indiana Avenue, they can have three times the fun with three times the space! Kids can explore 12,000 square feet of creative space, which includes a technology zone, woodshop, science lab, arts & crafts makerspace, cardboard construction area, and “mini makers” sensory area. Plus, a separate party room is available for rental. All the materials are provided in this one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning experience, and as the majority of the materials are recycled products, kids can explore the possibilities of things found in their own backyard, and help give old things new life.

Whether you’re a kid, a parent, or anywhere in between, CrashWorks has a program for you! Themed “Mommy & Me” events take place twice a week, where moms and kids can enjoy some quality time while making something special to take home. Need an afternoon activity for your makers that gives you a much needed break? CrashWorks’ afternoon STEAM program runs every weekday in the afternoon. Each day brings a facilitated new focus and opportunity for creating, while still offering free time for your child to dive into their own unique interests. Plan a date night and drop your kid off to hang with the CrashCrew for “Kid’s Night Out” on the first Friday and third Saturday of every month. Crashworks also regularly hosts class field trips, birthday parties, and more!
