Previous Meeting Minutes Treasurer’s Report
Reviewed, amended and approved A Treasurer’s report was presented and reviewed @this meeting by Treasurer Melissa Jaynes. Melissa reported that we spent more money than we took in this month. Question about line item re Lynn Classical H.S. student – was the check cashed, did the athlete attend the event? Melissa will look into this and email Rich about it. Motion to accept report by Tim Short, 2nd by Michele Campbell. A Membership report was given by Tim Short, Annie was not present yet. There are about 215-220 paying members as of 7/1. Discussion of proposing to have all membership dues with a hard stop by the Winter Banquet in early February. Motion to accept report by Shari Hewson, 2nd by Melissa Jaynes. A Clothing report was given by Michele Campbell. Michele reported to the Board there is a favorable response to ordering Wicked Sports Bras. So at this point, she will price them out. Also Michele is taking inventory on what we have and will have a report for the Board at the next meeting. Michele will send an email to people attending the Wicked Kidz Raceletting them know that she will have clothing on hand and will bring petty cash so she can make a sale. Motion to accept report by Shari Hewson, 2nd by Melissa Jaynes. This was our first year that we partnered with the NSMCand Tim thinks it went pretty well. There were 313 finishers, more info will come out of the debriefing meeting that Tim is planning on attending. But suffice to say, the NSMCwere thrilled with our volunteers and involvement. Tim enjoyed guiding and helping Rose. There are some comments and changesthat will be made for next year, such as ordering more “chips”, changing race to an earlier

start? Also a survey was proposed to be sent out to all volunteers on their experience at the Cancer Walk/Race. But overall a positive experience. Wicked Kidz Race There are about 40 children registered, Cick-fil-a will be there with nuggets. Also on hand, Pirates’ Booty, fruit donated by McKinnons and Gatorade. Results will be posted on Cool Running, photos on our website. We still need more volunteers at the mile markers, volunteers need to be at Forest River between 7:30-8am. Paul McCabewill send out an email. Wicked Wiffle Ball Throw All set for Sat., July 24 at 12pm. We will be awarding medals for the Down winning team!? There was a motion for expensesmade. Motion to grant up to $150 to Nicole Short for expensesrelated to this event made by Shari Hewson, 2nd by Michele Campbell WRCMember Survey Michele Campbell asked for any feedback on her draft copy. A few questions were reworded/added at the meeting. Now Michele will send out the survey in the next week or so to the members. Wicked Frosty Four A small discussion was heard by the Board on the next Frosty Four Race. Questions were raised and will be further done at our next meeting. Michele Campbell did request that the scholarship applications be sent/posted on the website by fall. Lynn Woods Relay More Information coming out – but the annual Lynn Woods Relay is set for Wednesday, Aug. 25th. Board members are asked to consider sending out the email and help coordinate the event. Summer Party Coming up on Sat., Aug. 21st from 4-7pm. We will award our next scholarship recipients – so far 3 out 4 can make the date. We will have a potluck outing with all members making something and BYOB. Thinking of awarding the Frosty Four Award to the next recipient. Special Meeting At this time, we’re planning on holding a special meeting to discuss Lifetime Memberships and what that all entails now that we have gotten the proposal from Beth O’Grady. That meeting will be held at Shari/Kenny Hewson’s home starting at 6:30pm.
