The Cover doesnt have to be a plain colour with a title. Could have an image or image on a jacket
I like the clean layout with text on one page and just an image on the facing page. I also like the use of red oblong shapes for the page numbers and the effect it creates when the book is both open and closed.
I think these ‘How to use this book’ sections can be useful to guide the reader
Again I liked the text with image on facing page. This book had gorgeous GF Smith type stock which suite the B&W images however I dont think it would work with full colour
These are a series of books 101 things I learned - Maybe 100 Brand facts, 100 brand quotes?
I like the page numbers again with oblong coloured shapes but this time staggered down the pages to creates a diagonal line
Really simple black and white inagery, lots of white space and text on facing page
Like the neat case bound square spine with white headbands
A clear brand is appropriate for the theme
Clean simple black and white logos. Text clean grid.
Used colour where appropriate
Not a great shot but like the colour bands created by the structured coloured lines on each page and the page numbers in the centre.
Simple cover strong title ( the cover was textured but you cant see as the library cover with plastic)
Not a massive fan of the pattern but the end pages dont have to be a plain colour
I dont think they need to put the square boxes round the text it detracts from the images.
Not a massive fan of the block round the title or the large point size used however I like how they have used different colours to differentiate the pages with blocks of text
This layout actually works really well. They have created lots if white space. and the smaller point size and two column layout makes the text much more approachable.
Like the full bleed image. Lots of white space on the text space could layout. Not sure if they needed the brown band however they have maybe used as a device to get the reader to look at that page.
Same book as previous I like the strip of images used in line with the title page. Like the wide margins creating lots of white space
The end pages were fabric covered paper.. Laser cut title works well revealing the fabric below. Again title using numbers.
Not sure the black background is too solid for all the difefrent images? I may have gone for white?
