CONCEPT_THE SITE .
THE PRESENT Taipei is a multi-cultural and historical city.With historical buildings have situated here for centuries.Da-Dao-Cheng, is one of the most well-known representative districts of the old Taipei. Inevitably, the problem of urban congestion and lack of natural space appears along with rapid growth and expansion. The VERTICAL DESIGN CONCEPT is a good solution for the lack of living spaces and the greenery.The TEA culture lies at the roots of the Ye family mansion. The site concept is to create a landmark of architecture based on the history and culture of the old mansion. Create a vertical space combining the culture, roots and history of Da-dao-cheng ---- IN A VERTICAL TEA PLANTATION.

TEA CORE CENTER The TEA CORE of the building represents the buildingĘźs historical DNA.
NEW SPACE SURROUND TEA CORE The original old mansion is only for the family residence and family company office. Adding the new space to the building, will allow for multiple new functions and features.
THE GREENERY Every space of the main building has their own tea plantation.Guests can pick up the fresh tea leaves at the tea core hallway or balcony.

The vestibule is compose of three store of cut out ceiling.Which is inspire by the silhouette of the baroque structure of the Yeʼs family mansion.

MALL&ATELIER BUILDING YONGLE MARKET 2.0
The concept of the 2.0 version of the old market is to create a modern mall for the DadaochengĘźs local fashion house, tailor shop and international luxury brand.
Create a platform for the fashion industry in Taipei city. Not only make the local fashion industry with international standards. But also keep the tailor culture of Dadaocheng alive.
THE WALK-THROUGH TAILOR A special Atelier building is located in the mall. It combines the designer store, fabric store, the atelier and exhibition plaform. Guest can experience the Dadaocheng tailor culture from beginning to end by walk through different area of the building.

DESIGNER STORE The Store provide designer ready-to-wear collections and couture service at the consulting area.Guests can select custom-made garments in the store then go down for fabric selection, and then enjoy fitting and finishing their garments at the atelier.

WINDOW DISPLAY FOR DESIGNER STORE The concept of the displa for the designerʼs collection is based on the story of - an ancient Chinese folk legend. The story is about the legend of the Nine-tailed fox, who operated a scary hotel which is a haunted ruins called the “夢仙閣” God Dreaming Court. Maintain the haunted theme in fashionable way, using the neon lights, brocken chandeliers, ancientt chinese furniture and mannequins to create the fashion version of the God Dreaming Court. All the decorations are soaking in the water to create reflections and visual illusions.

THE FABRIC STORE Da-dao-cheng is not only famous for its tea trading business, but also famous for its imported fabrics and tailoring business too.
THE ATELIER The Atelier in the mall combines the fabric market and tailor shop. Guests can choose their own fabric and tailor their garments at the atelier.
THE EXHIBITION PLATFORM The exhibition platform is a look through space at the lowermost of the atelier building. The areas combine the walk-through tailor, mall and the tea core of the building. The platform is a multiple-use space for art, fashion or entertainment event.
HOTEL MODERN MANSION
The concept of the hotel is to create a modern version of YeĘźs mansion. Every baroque detail of the building has its own meaning to Ye familyĘźs history. Replacing brick material to clear and transparent glass curtain.Preserve the baroque detail decoration. Let the remaining detail and glass curtain form the illusion silhouette. To keep the spirit of the old mansion.
