Live Waterwise Year-Round! Sign Up for a Free Water Efficiency Audit Complimentary water efficiency audits are available to all Windsor residents and business owners. Typically, indoor audits are scheduled for the fall and winter months and outdoor audits are scheduled from April through October. Sign-ups for both types of audits are available year-round. Residents interested in an outdoor irrigation audit are encouraged to sign-up in the off-season to guarantee a spot for 2024. By following audit recommendations, you’ll use water more efficiently, see a lower water bill, and a healthier lawn, too!
Indoor Audits All homes could benefit from an audit, but homes that are more than 20 years old will see the most savings. Landlords and property managers are also encouraged to schedule audits at all their properties. Commercial, industrial, or institutional properties can also get an audit. A water auditor will: •
Seek out leaks and other unintended uses of water.

Look for high water-use appliances.
•
Provide new showerheads and faucet aerators.
•
Suggest repairs, rebates or upgrades.
Outdoor Audits An irrigation audit is a series of tests on your automatic sprinkler system to check the performance of your system and determines how uniformly it applies water to the lawn. Each audit includes: •
A visual inspection of each zone to identify problems.

Tests that measure how much water is being applied.
•
A water pressure check and adjustment recommendation.
•
A custom watering schedule derived from the tests performed.
•
Information about your lawn’s seasonal needs for water.
