FitRx challenges the full body, targeting muscle groups and creating strength and synergy head to toe. Standing, we'll work the upper and lower body separately before we fuse the two and call upon our core stability in a major way. We’ll execute planks in a variety of styles to strengthen our core and our posture. And we’ll hit crunches and bridges, adding weights and arm/leg move ments to give us a complete workout.
This is a welcoming place for babies and their parents to strengthen emotional and physical bonds in a positive, calm, and safe environment. We'll learn gentle and safe baby yoga stretches, age-appropriate developmental play, and infant massage techniques. We encourage our little ones to explore, move, listen, interact, communi cate, imagine and learn, using multi-sensory activities such as music and singing, para chute play, bubbles, story telling, scarves, shakers, and more — while connecting with a supportive community. Pilates Flow JAM
This mat class expands on traditional Pilates method by infusing functional sculpting and basic yoga into whole body movement sequences choreographed to music, result ing in development of subconscious habits of coordinated moves, core stability, and enhanced posture that improve activities of daily life and help avoid injury. Together we’ll JAM, seeking balance in body and mind.
The Pilates Method is a classic method of physical and mental conditioning created over 80 years ago by legendary physical trainer Joseph Pilates. Through exercises that focus on the application of six principles (control, centering, concentration, precision, breath, and flow), you’ll learn about the mechanics of movement, allowing you to develop and maintain a healthy and graceful body.

If there are more than 10 children from a school, multiple teams will be formed. If there are too few children from any one school, children will be placed on a team according to village of residence. Due to the number of children in this program, friend requests will not be taken.

Founded in 1924, the North Shore Art League is a non-profit arts organization offering art classes for adults and children. As the only art center located in Winnetka, the NSAL not only offers art education, but also lectures, workshops, field trips, gallery shows and special art events to the entire North Shore community. A summer juried art fair, Art in the Village, takes place in Hubbard Woods Park — right in the middle of the Hubbard Woods Design District and along bustling Green Bay Road in June. Located for over 90 years on the second floor of the Community House, classes are held in an historic, professional art studio featuring skylights and a large stone fireplace as well as a well-equipped print room facility. Classes in drawing, painting (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), pastels, etching, printmaking, figure study, encaustic and more are taught by a distinguished faculty–offering a unique, creative experience. League members may exhibit at the annual Members’ Show and throughout the year in NSAL gallery space within the Community House. Since our founding in 1908, The Winnetka Club has been an integral part of the civic and philanthropic life of the North Shore Community. Thanks to our member’s participation and financial contributions, we have been able to: deliver numerous meals to front-line hospital workers in North Shore Hospitals; provide PPE to support the Winnetka Police Department; organize a food drive to support the New Trier Township Food Pantry; and financially support the educational and rebuilding efforts of My Block, My Hood, My City. High school members from our Youth Service Board work with residents at North Shore Place to make intergenerational friendships and the Club continues to award college scholarships to outstanding student leaders from New Trier Township high schools. We host a monthly Book Group and offer other social and cultural events for our membership, including museum tours and engaging lectures.
