A clear choice for Governor. 2010
For Oregon’s working families, there’s a clear choice for Governor When considering a recommendation in the governor’s race, the Oregon AFL-CIO and Working America carefully compares the candidates, their records and stances, with an endorsement requiring at least a two-thirds majority of the member unions. In the 2010 Democratic Primary election, John Kitzhaber has earned that endorsement.
A Solid Plan for Jobs
A Strong Record for Labor
John Kitzhaber has developed a detailed plan to create more good jobs for Oregonians, now and for the future. He has also made clear he will make Oregon’s labor movement a close partner to ensure those jobs rebuild the middle class with family wages and benefits.
As a legislator, Senate President and Governor, John has stood with working families time and again including standing up to one of the most anti-worker legislatures in Oregon history. He is a lifelong supporter of middle class Oregonians having a strong voice in the workplace.
As Oregon and America work to emerge from the worst recession in 70 years, we need a Governor who will rebuild our economy with the needs of working families and the middle class in mind.
