Lockdown has changed the way we see our homes. Making our homes appealing and inviting places to be is more important now than ever. With restrictions easing, many companies are still encouraging working from home to some degree and in turn we have had an increase in people contacting us to discuss home offices for flexible working.

Work spaces are moving from a temporary dining table space to a more permanent location in the home. Aside from assisting with the feel of the room, ie making changes to wall colours and layouts, we have also been finding solutions to window dressings. Common issues of light glare on computer screens or privacy with roadside windows can be resolved with privacy blinds diffusing the light, or other options such as blinds that pull up from the bottom to still allow light in at the top, or shutters in their various forms.

Having more time at home has also given people the opportunity to consider the changes they would like to make in their homes in other areas. Our design consultancy service offers a free initial chat with a designer to work out how you can make the changes to suit your budget and taste. Often something as simple as changing a colour palette can really impact on how you use or feel in a room – not only making the space more practical but also making it a place you enjoy more. When your home reflects you you will want to go home to it. If you have a project in mind, or a problem area you are having trouble resolving, give us a call on 07749 707056 or email interiors@axfordgroup.com to see how we can help. You can also keep an eye out on our social media channels @axfordinteriors and @axfordlandscapes.
