This section asks OEMs to explain why what they have to offer customers is “the best of.” That claim could be for a packaging system that offers greater productivity or cost-effective reliability, but part of the equation has to be what else a company has to offer customers. What makes it a good potential partner. It also presents more equipment from wire Düsseldorf exhibitors.
Turkey’s Domeks Makine Ltd. (Domeks), represented in the U.S. by QMS America, is a global supplier of high-speed coiling and reel packaging lines. It designs solution-oriented engineering to provide dependable systems that will meet or exceed customer needs. At wire Düsseldorf, company co-founder Orhan Ozbaran (pictured) showed the latest advance to its iconic Quadromatik system, which is scheduled to be shown at Interwire 2023. The Quadromatik with the triple head option provides higher throughput since there is little delay between the spool/coil changeover. This enables the line to reliably and consistently coil up to five spools a minute. It reflects the continual focus on technology from Domeks, which was formed in 2002, and initially focused on production of full automatic coiling lines and PVC compounding machines. In early 2003, it developed the Coilmatik 280 for coiling of single conductors, then the Coilmatik 400 for multi-wire cables, then the Reelmatik 350 for round and flat type cables and the Doublematik 400 for automatic spool winding/coiling on the same line. To respond to the demand for even higher productivity, Domeks updated the Quadromatik 400 coiler and spooler for single/multicore cables (1.5 to 4x2.5 mm²). It has double-winding heads and can process up to five reels a minute and four spools per minute with a length tolerance of ± 0.15. It also offers its Paletmatik 1200 coil/spool stacker unit for coordinated pick and place stacking on pallets. It has different stacking patterns, and can stack to heights of up to 1,400 mm on a pallet.
