Youth Lifestyle aims to showcase crafts from young professionals and also inspire the youth who aspire to pursue a career in the field of music and other creative industries such as arts and entertainment. In this issue, we will dive deep into the world of underground music and doscover a spectrum of young talents. I believe the bold and the creatives out there who don’t have the power to be heard should be given a platform to express their talent. I have always had a great appreciation for the underground music scene, because thanks to the scene, my generation got to indulge the magnificent music from artists such as Will Grigahcine and Shirubio and an array of different artists. My fascination with the scene flourished when I started to engage myself with the scene and watch artists sell out local venues to tearing roofs off of stadiums. Isn’t it amazing to see something turning big out of nothing? I dedicate this edition to embrace our music of today and the talented people we have. Let’s make dreams come to reality. Let’s spread the positivity we get from music. Dream on, Sylvio Da Fonseca Founder and Editor of Youth Lifestyle

artist profile
6threes is a new girl band based in London. Their main genre is trap, hip-hop and a bit of K-pop influence. The trio is considered one of the most talented bands of our generation that’s rising to the mainstream world. Thei frist Ep gained a lot of recogniton in Britain and their impeccable sound is slowly reaching the US audience.
The breakthrough came about when Diplo, an American DJ and the founder of Mad Decent record label, heard the trio’s now successful hit single ‘Prey’ via Soundcloud. ‘Prey’ was constantly requested on radios across United States when the DJ played the song on Tomorrowland Festival. The hybridity of hip-hop and a hint of K-pop influence caused Twitter to go berserk, making them one of the most talked about bands of 2017. It didn’t take long to convince Diplo to sign the girls on his label. ‘This is only the beginning of something fresh the girls have to offer’ says the American DJ. Well you music enthusiasts out there, buckle up because you’re going on an amazing journey with these girls.
6threes Youth Lifestyle had the privilege to interview Timnit, Thames and Tey, the trio from 6threes and ask them about their own definition of success and how to achieve it. The trio met through an exchange of conversation about Axl Rose in a music event in London. It’s insane how just with the exchange of words can result in soon to be superstars. With occasional studio sessions, the girls formed a group and since then they started cooking up tasty tunes in the studio.

SKATING MEETS MUSIC Music plays a big role in operating skating scenes. Hard work and determination will pay off in the end. Just keep working hard.
Luis Garcia is a pro skater and also a producer for Mad Decent Label . As a teenager growing up in London, he was always fascinated in making beats and understanding how to incorporate music and skating together. Been a regular skater in London, he was inspired by the underground rap scene that was flourishing. He kept on practicing daily at his local skate park and participated in major skating events throughout England. Through all the hard work and dedication, Garcia earned his place on being one of the best skaters alive today. As his skating career emerged to mainstream, he decided to go back to the music scene that inspired him in his early age. He went back to his local skate park and study the music carefully. He then started producing beats for local artists which granted him the reputation of being one of the most talented producers in the area. With the locals appreciating his craft, it got spread around the country and before you know it, he got a call from Mad Decent Label.
SKATing And the untroubled rough grip caressed the sole of my shoes Everyday, the gentle breeze introduce me to a new broad horizon The times I fell didn’t make it to numbers, but now mum saw me in the news “That’s my son” Broken bones shaped the trophies on the shelf Painful cries turned into melodic shouts of victory I skate without any help Mum said “son, go out there and make history”
