WOMEN THRIVE
by Samantha Hearne
Genuine community building as a woman in business; how to do this in alignment and why this matters to ALL servicebased businesses.
When I was asked to be the December feature for this incredible magazine and we came up with this topic, I really wanted to make sure I give you as much value, in the simplest breakdown possible, that allows you to take action straight away
So, before we dive in I want to start by sharing my community beliefs as a business owner and woman The reason I say belief is because we all have different beliefs and that is part of the magic, but the reason these are my beliefs, is because they have shaped the fundamental success of my business, and the same is true for so many of my clients So these beliefs are my truth and I truly hope they help you with your business, growth and success too
Belief 1;
The heartbeat of your business is the PEOPLE Without the people, you have no service-based business
So this is my firm belief and core truth around successful, sustainable services based businessif you want to create long-lasting success, you must know that the heartbeat of your business is the PEOPLE.
So prioritise that. (And I’ll share how later.)
Belief 2;
Balance. You have to recognise that building a business that offers a service, is all about balance. For me, I put this balance into an equation; You must be willing to invest as much effort and time into your community and people.
As you expect them to invest and trust in working with you.
So when you think about building a community, nurturing and connecting with them
“It is your job to understand what your community wants to consume VS what they are willing to pay for.”
CONSISTENTLY matters more than just that initial growth phase, especially if you want people to invest in working with you
(More on this coming later)
Belief 3;
It is your job to understand what your community wants to consume VS what they are willing to pay for No two businesses are the same, so following someone else’s method or templates or scripts won't create the same outcomes in your business WHY? Because you are talking to unique individuals, not copycats of one another So, it is your responsibility to understand your community, this is a huge part of being a successful, intuitive and responsive business owner
How you can master this, you guessed it, coming!
Before giving you the breakdowns to be able to action this and implement this from RIGHT NOW, I want to just take this moment to introduce myself to you a little further.
My background is in education. I have a first-class honours degree in teaching and education and was a teacher in secondary school for a decade. Teaching, engaging and ensuring people understand what I am saying is literally in my blood! So ensuring you are able to understand, take action and use what I share below, is fundamental in the work I do.
Aside from that, I have been running my own business (now 3) successfully for the past 6 years and have supported hundreds of women in transforming their businesses, income, work life balance and success. But what I will say is that it is never down to templates or cookie cutter ideals, every single one of my clients gets bespoke support based on their business and this article will be no different This is going to give you an overview, different approaches and you can choose which work best for you and then act from there
The HOW’s
1.
How to prioritise community building
In order to fully prioritise community building, these are the 3 questions you need to be able to answer YES to at the end of every month (and here is how you can make this personal to how you show up in your servicebased business)
- Have I added value without expectation to my community this month?
- Have I had genuine conversations with my community this month?
Examples; question stories on instagram, live Q&A sessions, answering DM’s or messages, personal outreach to your community, member spotlight, rewarding community members, sharing them online.
Being the authority without selling is key, this is where you build real trust.
Examples; running interviews with clients or past clients, hot-seat coaching online, running giveaways, free sessions online, showcasing your insights, sharing top tips, ‘try this’ content.
2. How to ensure the balance is there.
First and foremost; if you expect people to invest in working with you, you must expect yourself to show up first!
So think about your offer and the investment cost to the potential client - do you feel your current level of value add, visibility and authority showcasing is equal to the investment level?
Are you doing what you can to build the bridge between follower to client in your content, visibility, value and community nurturing?
3. Knowing your community.
How can you truly understand your community and identify the difference between a follower and a potential buyer?
YOUR ability to connect and your ability to listen.
One rule I live and teach by; follow the momentum This is what you need to be doing to identify the difference between these 2 groups; the follower and the potential buyer.
When you share content, create content, show up, ask questions - what is gaining the most traction? Where are people most engaged? How are people responding?
When you temperature test your audienc run soft launches, run waitlist offers, create offers for different times of year - how well do they sell? How easily do they sell? How much response are you getting?
“Being the authority without selling is key, this is where you build real trust.”
"The Number One reason people don't achieve their goals is execution - so take action TODAY!"
This is the key to being able to truly understand the patterns within your community and respond effectively.
So what to do next?
1.
Write down your 3 next steps from reading this and what you know you can improve, refine and master
2.
Follow me on Instagram to not miss a beat on how else I can support you.
3.
Do something TODAY to act on what you have read Once you have the list (step one) ACT on it TODAY
The Number One reason people don't achieve their goals is execution - so take action TODAY!
Then tag me (if you follow step 2!) so I can celebrate with you and send you a cheeky reward. You will get access to my business success bundle for free I want to reward you for taking this action TODAY.
It is time your community became the priority and your business started to see the impact of that right now

Speak Your Truth: How to Build Authority, Command Presence, and Inspire Change
by Raimonda Jan
In a world full of noise, your voice has the power to inspire change and leave a lasting impact. Yet for so many of us, stepping into the spotlight feels daunting. Fear of judgment, imposter syndrome, and the pressure to conform can hold us back from owning our truth.
This is not the time for women to feel small or insignificant, this is the time for women to rise, individually and collectively
My journey didn’t begin speaking on stages, I was actually soft-spoken and mostly shy of public speaking. At some stage in my life I felt even unable to speak or advocate for myself. I wondered if there was something wrong with me and I’d need a speaking and vocal coach to help me through it.
Over the years I took the time to master visibility, authority and public speaking, here are the 5 tips I can share with you today to help you step into your authority and leadership:
1. Authenticity: The Foundation of Authority
The most magnetic leaders and speakers share one thing in common they are unapologetically authentic They don’t try to fit into molds or imitate others. Instead, they lead with their unique stories, values, and perspectives.
Your story matters It’s what makes you relatable and trustworthy Whether you’re speaking to an audience of one or one thousand, show up as yourself. Share the struggles you’ve overcome, the lessons you’ve learned, and the passion that drives you
Pro Tip: Spend time reflecting on your “why.” What fuels your desire to lead or inspire others? Let this be the core of your message.
2. Command Presence with Confidence and Clarity
Confidence doesn’t mean being perfect; it means owning your imperfections Great speakers aren’t flawless they’re human The key is to focus on connection over perfection.
Clarity is just as important. Your message needs to be clear, concise, and compelling Avoid overloading your audience with information. Instead, focus on delivering one powerful idea that resonates deeply.
Confidence doesn’t mean being perfect; it means owning your imperfections.
Try This: Practice delivering your core message in just one sentence This helps you clarify your thoughts and ensures your audience walks away with a memorable takeaway.
3. Visibility: The Catalyst for Influence
Visibility isn’t just about being seen; it’s about showing up consistently and meaningfully. Whether it’s on a stage, social media, or in your community, your presence builds trust and authority
Women, especially, often hesitate to step into the spotlight for fear of being "too much." But here’s the truth: your visibility can inspire others to find their own voices.
Action Step: Choose one platform or medium where you can consistently share your message. Start small, but commit to showing up regularly.
4. The Power of Storytelling
Storytelling is your secret weapon. Facts inform, but stories transform. They create emotional connections that stick with your audience long after the conversation ends When crafting your story, focus on the “hero’s journey” framework:
The Challenge: What obstacle did you face?
The Transformation: What did you learn or overcome?
The Message: How can your story inspire others?
Remember: Your story doesn’t have to be extraordinary to be impactful Authenticity always wins.
5. BE UNAPOLOGETIC: A Framework for Leadership and Influence
Through years of coaching, speaking, and mentoring, I’ve developed a framework to help women build their authority and own their voice It’s called UNAPOLOGETIC, and it’s rooted in the belief that you don’t need permission to lead you already have everything you need within you
The 5 C’s To Success In Business & Life
by Amy Sanders
Why is it that some people seem to continually climb the success ladder with ease, while others struggle?
I’m talking about your friend who just started her coaching business and is already effortlessly signing clients, while you are a couple of years in and still struggle to get paying clients consistently. Although energetics and how we approach our businesses mentally are also at play, there is a way for you to check where you are, make little adjustments, and find success.
The 5 C’s to success are a tool for checking in on your progress with specific parts of your business. Each C builds on the others, so you can easily see what you are doing (and what you are not doing) and stay on task. As you incorporate them, you will find success in your work!
5 C's for Success In Life & Business Commitment1. Courage2. Capability3. Confidence4. Consistency 5
Commitment
Commit - no matter what When you try something new (like starting a business, or putting ad copy together), your brain will seize and freak out This is normal Your brain is trained to keep you safe and comfortable, so anything new or different will challenge your brain and comfort zone However, if you understand that this is a normal reaction from the brain, you can plan for it Make the commitment that you will see this through no matter what until you succeed Then, learn from other successful people in your niche If they can do it, you can too Adopt the mindset that everything is “figure-outable” This is something I learned from Marie Farleo in the book Everything is Figureoutable As Napoleon Hill said in the book Think and Grow Rich, “If the mind can conceive and believe it, it can achieve it.”
Capability
When you are doing something new, and you keep going (building that courage), you get better as you develop the skills required for success in the particular area you are working on. You actually know how to create a landing page, and it doesn’t take you as long anymore. Going live on Instagram doesn’t scare you like it used to. When on a sales call, you know exactly how to speak to your potential client to land the sale. At this point, you are seeing that you are truly capable. You have faith in yourself and your required skills and tasks in your business to find success.
Which leads to the C number four, confidence
Confidence
As you get better at doing the tasks (capability), your confidence will grow in that area Confidence isn't something that we start with, it’s something that we end with And once you have confidence, everything feels better We have confidence in our business We have confidence in ourselves and trust that we are making the right decisions in our business When we are confident in ourselves, we are in flow, which is the best place to be! Everything seems to be working, and it doesn’t feel like you are climbing an uphill battle anymore
However, when you get here, you can get tripped up because you feel like you’ve “made it” So, you slow down and take a break This is exactly why people’s business income dips, or they stop having as many sales calls, deals closing, etc They get complacent and stop doing the very things that brought them to this point of success in their journey.
This leads me to the last and most important C. Consistency.
Consistency
As you go through the first 4 C’s, you will be in flow and start seeing success. But you have to keep doing the things that brought you success! The simple steps that brought you to success and feeling confident are the exact things that will keep it going. Do the little things everyday that brought you to this point.
"The cave y the treasu

In today’s world, the pressure to “do it all” and “have it all” can feel heavier than ever. Yet, as I’ve journeyed through my own path of transformation - rising from a place where my challenges nearly defined me to a place where I reclaimed my power -I’ve found that the one thing that continuously lifts me up is connection. Not just surface-level interactions, but genuine, deep-rooted connection with other women who understand, encourage, and believe in the power of growth.
For many years, I felt like I had to be strong all on my own.
Asking for help?
That seemed like admitting defeat.
But as I look back, I realize that true strength came when I opened myself up to the community around me other women who had walked through fire, just as I had, and who were rising just as fiercely Together, we didn’t just share stories; we shared strength
When women unite, something remarkable happens.
We don’t just elevate ourselves; we elevate each other, creating ripple effects that transform lives
Why Community Matters in Elevating Our Lives
There’s a saying I love: “If you want to go fast, go alone If you want to go far, go together ”
Community is the foundation upon which we build confidence, resilience, and purpose It’s a place where we can be both the student and the teacher, learning from others’ insights while sharing our own
And when we align ourselves with other women who are as committed to growth as we are, our potential multiplies.
But community isn’t just about camaraderie. It’s a powerful tool for personal and professional elevation. Here’s why:
1. Accountability: When we declare our goals within a supportive community, we’re far more likely to follow through. That’s why mastermind groups and empowerment circles are so impactful. They help us hold ourselves accountable, not just to our aspirations but to each other.
2. Resource Sharing: Whether it’s job opportunities, business strategies, or personal growth tools, communities are abundant sources of resources. When we support each other, we learn new approaches to overcoming challenges and expanding our horizons.
3 Empowerment through Belonging:
For many of us, feelings of “not enough” are all too familiar Community reminds us that we’re not alone in these feelings and that, together, we can redefine what success and worthiness mean
The Power of Shared Experience
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from building connections is that we’re not alone in our struggles or triumphs Over the years, I’ve witnessed women from all walks of life executives, stay-athome moms, entrepreneurs, and creatives who carry stories of both pain and resilience
I remember the very first time I shared my story of abuse, publicly I was standing in the front of the room at one of my workshops, surrounded by a large group of women I had never met I remember sharing with them how I had spent years of my life internalizing my own fears and how I fought to escape an abusive marriage. The room was filled with nods, tears, and understanding smiles. Each woman in that room felt my courage and personally connected with parts of my story. In that vulnerable moment, every single one of us grew stronger.
The beauty of shared experience is that it validates our journey. Knowing that another woman has walked a similar path faced the same obstacles, questioned her worth, and yet kept moving forward gives us permission to be imperfect and yet powerful.
My Own Journey: How Connection Transformed My Path
I often reflect on my own journey through challenging times, particularly my battle with GuillainBarré syndrome. It was the toughest chapter of my life There were many moments of despair when I felt completely overwhelmed and helpless But it was in those moments, when I opened up to others, that I found strength I never knew I had My husband, my sons, and our friends and family became a lifeline, reminding me that I didn’t have to face this alone They knew my strength and determination and saw the potential in me that I couldn’t see in myself
When I began sharing my story more openly, I started to connect with other women who had also faced intense physical and emotional battles Together, we created a space of healing, understanding, and empowerment that continues to transform me every single day
Why Every Woman Needs a Tribe
Creating a community around you isn’t just “nice to have”
It’s essential
No woman is meant to rise alone We thrive in tribes, in circles of women who genuinely want to see us succeed and grow There’s a unique bond we can only share with those who have walked the path of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation
When women connect, we aren’t just uplifting ourselves; we’re breaking barriers and setting an example for the generations to come. We’re proving that strength lies in togetherness, in the fearless pursuit of our dreams alongside those who understand our journey.
So, here’s my challenge to you: step into your power, not just as an individual but as part of a sisterhood. Find the women who elevate your spirit, push you to new heights, and remind you that you’re never alone on this path. Because, together, we don’t just survive we thrive.
And always remember that you are stronger than you know and surrounded by those ready to rise with you.
Together, we are unstoppable.

Why Women Must Overcome the Barriers to True Community
by Tina Kapp-Kailea
In a culture that often rewards competition over connection, the idea of unity can feel more like an ideal than a reality Yet now, with so much at stake, we find ourselves in a time when building genuine community is not only essential for individual success but also a moral imperative now more than ever
Embracing Community in a Time of Division
Today, we face unprecedented threats to our rights, freedoms, and safety The recent election has shown us, once again, that forces are actively working to undermine women’s sovereignty, particularly the rights of marginalized communities We’ve felt it in our communities, our homes, and our minds. The election of Trump is a glaring example a reminder of the misogyny, racism, and hate that still hold a firm grip on society. As women, this should be our call to rise not alone, but together.
The impacts of these decisions will reverberate across generations, affecting our daughters, nieces, and all the women who come after us. We can no longer afford to remain isolated or complacent. The stakes are too high for us to stay divided. It’s time to confront the conditioning that tells us we’re competitors and embrace the truth: our power lies in unity.
We must gather our strengths, align our resources, and form a united front. Standing together as a community of women means refusing to accept hate and discrimination It means advocating not just for ourselves but for all women our communities must be places of safety, support, and resilience for every woman, regardless of her background
The Trap of the Scarcity Mindset
Many of us are conditioned from an early age to see other women as competitors rather than allies, viewing success as a scarce resource achievable only at someone else’s expense. We’re taught sometimes subtly, sometimes openly that there’s not enough room for all of us If another woman succeeds, it somehow means there’s less opportunity for me This isn’t our failing; it’s a product of a society that thrives on division a patriarchal system historically designed to keep women “in their place ”
“Community is a radical act of defiance against a world that wants us divided.”
This “scarcity mindset” permeates all aspects of life, from the workplace to social settings, often leaving us disconnected, isolated, and suspicious of one another But it’s time to stop seeing each other as obstacles and start viewing each other as allies.
Success is Not a Finite Resource
One woman’s achievement doesn’t diminish another’s; it enhances it Success is not a finite resource. When we support each other, we challenge the very systems that once told us we couldn’t In the pursuit of true success, we must first dismantle the belief that other women block our path to the top This thought pattern is outdated and unproductive. When we celebrate each other’s wins, we build a culture of abundance and possibility one that fuels greater success for everyone
At Women Thrive, true success means lifting others up, contributing to a greater cause, and leaving a legacy that inspires future generations. Today, the role of community in that journey has never been more critical Together, we can rise above a culture of competition and build a legacy of strength, resilience, and connection
The Power of Community and Connection
Imagine the power we could harness if we truly came together vulnerable, raw, authentic, and unapologetic When women support women, we dismantle structures designed to keep us small it’s the secret to sustained success. We challenge the status quo, showing that there is more than enough room for us all to thrive. We become role models for the next generation, proving that true power is not about rising above others but lifting each other up
In recent years, we’ve seen the power of women’s communities in action. Movements like #MeToo and Lean In have shown that when women stand together, they can achieve extraordinary things But true community isn’t just about rallying around a cause; it’s about creating a sustained, empowering network that supports women in every area of life and business Community is a radical act of defiance against a world that wants us divided It’s not just about friendship or networking; it’s about creating a shared vision and working collectively to make it real. It’s about supporting each other, standing in solidarity, and recognizing that our collective power is far greater than our individual struggles
Genuine connections allow us to develop a support system that fosters resilience, growth, and opportunity Community allows us to share resources, leverage each other’s strengths, and hold each other accountable to our goals. It also provides a foundation of trust, allowing us to be ourselves, seek advice, and learn from one another’s experiences
Redefining Leadership and Success
Despite challenges, today’s leadership looks different than it did a generation ago The most successful leaders now are those who understand that empowering others doesn’t diminish their own power it enhances it. This shift is critical for us, as women who have historically been denied seats at the table and must now create new spaces of our own
True leadership isn’t about outshining others
When we collaborate, we disrupt the outdated belief that leadership is only for the select few. Instead, we create a more inclusive definition of success that allows each woman to bring her unique strengths to the table
Consider the impact of women who champion other women those who mentor, sponsor, and actively lift up others. The lesson here is simple: women who support women create a culture that fosters not only individual success but collective achievement
“Community is a radical act of defiance against a world that wants us divided.”
Building Community with Intention
Now more than ever, we need to build community with intention Recent events have highlighted deep divisions in society based on race, gender, and political beliefs In a climate where policies threaten women’s rights, equality, and safety, a unified women’s community becomes more than a path to success; it’s an act of resistance and resilience
The recent election, for example, is a stark reminder that rights we thought were secure reproductive freedom, gender equality, and protections for marginalized groups can still be challenged Building community is one way to protect those rights, using our collective strength to stand against forces that seek to hold us back
How to Foster True Community and Drive Collective Success
Creating a supportive community requires intentional action, vulnerability, and a commitment to championing each other’s success. Here are ways to start:
1. Celebrate Each Other’s Wins
When a woman succeeds, celebrate her Whether it’s a promotion, achievement, or new venture, every win is a win for the collective.
2. Mentor and Sponsor
If you’re in a position of influence, use it to elevate other women Mentoring or sponsoring someone helps her succeed and strengthens your own legacy.
3. Network with Purpose
Networking should be about building meaningful connections, not just expanding contacts. Look for ways to add value to others, share resources, and offer support
4. Build Inclusive Spaces
For community to be effective, it must be inclusive. Support women from diverse backgrounds, and advocate for those who may lack resources
5. Engage in Honest Conversations
A strong community is built on trust Honest, vulnerable conversations about challenges, goals, and fears foster solidarity.
Together, We Can Redefine Success
True success is not about individual accomplishments. It’s about leaving a legacy that lifts others up, challenges outdated norms, and empowers future generations. When we come together, supporting each other’s growth, we redefine what it means to succeed We create a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive.
At Women Thrive, we believe that as women, we have the opportunity and responsibility to overcome the conditioning that tells us to compete, break down barriers that keep us isolated, and create communities that embody resilience, strength, and unity.
In the end, success is about more than reaching the top alone It’s about creating a legacy that opens doors for others, builds pathways to opportunity, and fosters a spirit of connection that cannot be broken.
“True success is not about individual accomplishments. It’s about leaving a legacy that lifts others up, challenges outdated norms, and empowers future generations.”
From Surviving to Thriving:
The Transformative Power of Community and Connection
by Ella Rivkin
Growing up, my mother always told me, “Don't have $100 but have a hundred friends.” I’ve carried that saying with me throughout my life, and it has shaped how I build relationships, approach business, and live day to day. This belief that relationships are more valuable than money became the foundation of my career and personal growth.
The Start of My Career Journey
When I started my career, I took a job as an intern at a startup tax and accounting firm. The owner of the company was incredibly smart, and I knew I needed to stay around him I wasn’t focused on making money at the time I believed that if I could learn from him and absorb his knowledge, the money would come eventually And it did I started working full time and quickly began to bring value to the business and the community around me I realized that sharing my knowledge with business owners my clients was not just fulfilling for me but also helped others grow their businesses The relationships I built during that time were based on trust, value, and mutual support, proving that true success comes from the connections we nurture
A Transformational Journey in My Life and Business
As my career advanced, I went through a period of deep transformation, not just in my business, but in my personal life, health, and spirituality I became a health coach, a life coach, and even a yoga instructor. At the time, many people questioned why I was doing this, especially since I already had a successful tax and accounting firm. But I had seen firsthand how these changes had transformed my life, and I wanted to share that with the world.
I didn’t care about the costs or what people thought. I knew that this was my path, and I developed a system to integrate everything I was learning into my business. This led to the creation of my movement, It’s All in Your Hands™, which has become a guiding philosophy in my life and work. The same thing happened when I learned about Real Estate Investments after getting great results and seeing how people needed this knowledge to achieve financial freedom, I made it my mission to share it with others
The Power of the Right Connections
I’ve always believed that life happens for me, not to me I’ve been blessed to attract the right people into my life at the right time, and I believe that it’s just as important to give back When my family and I first came to the United States with only $100 to our name, we were looking for an apartment A real estate agent we met became our mentor, guiding us in ways we could never have imagined That experience showed me the truth behind the phrase, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know ”
Sharing Knowledge and Giving Back
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that true happiness comes from growth and contribution. I’ve always made it a point to share what I know with others, whether it’s personal development, health, or business strategies. Whenever I find something that works for me, I pass it on to my clients and friends. This act of sharing knowledge and helping others grow has been a cornerstone of my success.
Community isn’t just about having people around you it’s about lifting each other up and growing together. When you surround yourself with the right people, share what you know, and stay open to learning from others, you create a ripple effect that benefits everyone.
“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”
Why Building a Strong Community Matters
In today’s fast-paced, often disconnected world, building meaningful connections and communities is more important than ever We all need people around us who believe in us, push us to grow, and support us through both successes and challenges For me, community has been a key driver of both personal and professional success It’s the network of people around me that has helped me navigate life’s challenges, celebrate my wins, and continue pushing forward.
5 Practical Tips for Building and Strengthening Your Community
If you’re looking to build a strong community that supports you and helps you thrive, here are five practical tips based on what I’ve learned over the years:
Be Selective with Your Inner Circle. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, push you to be better, and share your values. It’s not about having hundreds of connections it’s about having the right ones. Choose relationships that enrich your life and help you grow.
Lead with Generosity. When you come from a place of giving, you naturally attract people who want to help you succeed Whether it’s offering advice, sharing resources, or just being a good listener, be generous with your time and energy The more you give, the more you’ll receive 2. Embrace Vulnerability Don’t be afraid to share your struggles along with your successes Real connection happens when people see the real you flaws and all Being vulnerable opens the door to deeper, more meaningful relationships that go beyond the surface 3
Create Opportunities for Connection Whether it’s organizing a mastermind group, starting a monthly dinner with friends, or joining an online community, be proactive in creating opportunities to connect Relationships don’t happen by accident they’re built through intentional action
Share What You Know One of the most powerful ways to build trust and strengthen your community is to share your knowledge. Whether it’s a business tip, a life lesson, or advice on personal growth, when you help others, you elevate both them and yourself.
Conclusion
As we move into the holiday season, a time centered around connection and reflection, let’s remember the value of community It’s the relationships we build, the knowledge we share, and the support we give and receive that truly make us thrive. My mother’s words still ring true: “Don’t have $100 but have a hundred friends.” It’s the community we create that ultimately defines our success and happiness. Through my movement, It’s All in Your Hands™, I’ve learned that real growth comes when we invest in others and embrace the power of connection. When we uplift one another, we create a positive ripple effect that transforms our lives and the lives of those around us. Kick Your Negative Thinking Out of Your Head!
Do you ever have the feeling that you are not enough? Do you think you need to look a certain way, or have a certain university degree, or have your life all figured out in order to be worthy of love, success, or happiness? The truth is, you have the power and the ability to change the way you feel by how you talk to yourself, think, and who and what you use for inspiration.
This might seem difficult to believe, but you are worthy of love, success, and happiness! You can have the life you want! You need to believe in yourself and speak positively in order to feel it in your bones.
We are wired to think negatively. It goes back to primitive man who was on constant alert in order to survive. At least 80% of our thoughts are negative, according to a study by the National Science Foundation And 95% of our thoughts are repetitive Negative thinking is taking over your brain every day! It is a continuous cycle, and your brain can believe these thoughts It is up to you to interrupt your thoughts because you don’t need to believe them
If you’re wondering how to do that, here are a few suggestions First and foremost, give yourself compassion Speak to yourself the way you would speak to a friend Be the positive, supportive, and solution-driven friend instead of getting hung up on the problem
Here’s another one Every time you catch yourself having a negative thought, make a conscious effort to replace it with a new thought Think “What is the opposite of this thought?” Flip your negative thinking into something positive It’s so much more empowering when you ask yourself “What if dreams really do come true?" How would that look? Then start dreaming and envision every detail like a screenwriter from what you are wearing and where you are, to the sights, smells, and sounds in your dream and create a vision that will inspire you to act on what matters most to you.
You Have the Power!
You also need to look inward and appreciate all that you have to offer instead of comparing yourself to others. As Theodore Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Oscar Wilde had the right idea when he said, “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance ” Instead of comparing yourself to others, find people who are like you and surround yourself with positivity
Take it a step further and surround yourself with people who believe in you Put up photos of your biggest supporters - friends, family, professors, mentors If you don’t have any, look for positive influencers There are so many people out there who are waiting for you to realize your potential and once you start to believe in yourself, you can achieve great things Here a few ways to do this:
Pull photos and quotes from your favorite celebrities, athletes, authors, musicians, podcasters, and influencers that inspire you
Find people who look like you, are pursuing their dreams, and inspire you
Put your inspiration on a vision board, on your screensaver, or just fill up a bulletin board so they remind you to manifest into your future.
“Instead of comparing yourself to others, find people who are like you and surround yourself with positivity.”
Make sure you don’t fall back into your old habits. Keep checking and assessing what you read, follow, and watch Old habits die hard Remove the negative or anything that makes you feel bad Do a little bit every day, before things pile up Or find a day of the week and just check to see if there is something you want to let go of - both physically and mentally with something like a limiting belief Mel Robbins, one of my favorite motivational speakers, has a weekly practiceUnfollow Friday And you can do it too Just scroll through your feed and evaluate how you feel with each creator Clean it up so you only have good feelings when you scroll You can do the same thing for your email, magazines, and what you watch (movies, videos, etc )
The main idea here is to inspire you and to live into your authentic self As you work toward your goal(s), you will improve your self esteem Include influencers and your heroes and heroines but remember, this is only intended to make you feel good about yourself. Leave out the people who make you feel inadequate or less than in any way. I look forward to writing regularly for Women Thrive Magazine.

What if the greatest power in your leadership arsenal was something you couldn’t measure, chart, or analyze?
Intuitive leadership flips the rulebook, tapping into a force that goes beyond strategy. It’s about knowing without knowing, sensing where the world is moving before the rest of the world catches on. This approach isn’t just a tool it’s a superpower for women in business who are ready to lead the next paradigm shift.
We’re at a pivotal moment in history, facing challenges that traditional methods can’t solve alone But as more women rise, something remarkable is happening: we’re tapping into intuitive leadership, feeling into the emerging future, and crafting strategies not only with data but with instinct and courage This is the art of making the unseen visible and manifesting the vision into reality And it’s changing the game
Why Intuitive Leadership Matters Now More Than Ever
Forget stale boardroom tactics We need leaders who sense what’s emerging and are unafraid to disrupt the status quo Intuitive leadership is the antidote to a world of reactive strategies, offering a path for visionaries who aren’t satisfied with mere success they’re here to create real impact
Think of some of the greatest shifts in recent years: luxury brands focusing on sustainability, businesses doubling down on purpose, and communities rallying for genuine connection. These movements are led by intuitive leaders, people who trust their inner compass to navigate change and see beyond today’s horizon. Women who lead intuitively can capture these shifts and create something truly transformative.
“We need leaders who sense what’s emerging and are unafraid to disrupt the status quo.”
The Power of Feeling into the Emerging Future
An intuitive leader isn’t afraid to sit in silence and feel into the realm of possibilities This isn’t guesswork it’s about listening, observing, and tapping into the collective energy around us Great leaders feel the undercurrents of change They don’t wait for certainty; they create it by envisioning what the future could be This isn’t simply about spotting trends; it’s about reading the world’s pulse, sensing shifts in values, and having the courage to act on what feels right.
In the luxury industry, we’re seeing a transformation from bold, status-symbol branding to the refined allure of silent luxury, where craftsmanship and quality quietly speak for themselves.
It’s about products that don’t just look good but feel right for the world. For intuitive leaders, this means making choices that resonate with authenticity, ethics, and long-term impact.
The New Paradigm: Leading with Vision and Authentic Impact
We’re in the midst of a major shift, moving from profit-driven models to purpose-driven legacies Women in business who embody intuitive leadership aren’t chasing trends; they’re setting new standards They’re creating legacies that extend beyond mere growth they embody transformation This journey involves taking bold risks, challenging established norms, and redefining the very essence of success
This is about more than achieving goals it’s a philosophy It’s about creating a legacy of change and pioneering a future that merges integrity with impact This is the work of those who refuse to settle for anything less than real influence
“To pioneer with intuition is to work not just with data or trends but with a deep sense of purpose”
Forging Ahead: Leading with Intuition and Insight
The secret weapon of intuitive leaders? They draw from a well of inner knowing and insights, tapping into the quantum field and a wisdom that goes beyond traditional data.
When we as leaders choose to trust our instincts, to act on our deeper knowing, we step out of the box and into our own power. This approach doesn’t play it safe, and it doesn’t settle. It dares, disrupts, and redefines
Intuitive leadership is the key to a new future
When we let ourselves truly feel into what’s possible, we find clarity We see past the noise and into what really matters, creating not just a company or a brand, but a legacy For the woman ready to lead her industry, the question isn’t just, *How do I succeed?* It’s, *How do I create a future worth believing in?*
This is the challenge and the invitation To pioneer with intuition is to work not just with data or trends but with a deep sense of purpose that is attuned to the soul, to the heart and the world’s needs It’s a commitment to shape a future that others only dream about, pushing boundaries not out of ambition but out of a call to serve something larger For the intuitive leader, this isn’t a journey with a clear map it’s a quest that asks you to trust in the unseen, the emerging, and the yet-to-be-defined potential of tomorrow.

The Power of Community for Healing
by Shelli Roberts
Community, to me, means a group where I feel a sense of belonging, its members are genuinely supportive, and include individuals who are of a like-minded perspective. In a healing community, there are several other characteristics that are particularly important as well, to foster the cohesion that “community” implies and to provide the environment that nurtures the personal growth desired. These include: Safe space that is cultivated and maintained In a safe space, trust is fostered to encourage open participation, mutual support, and even vulnerability. This also implies actively maintaining the container as a non-judgement zone.
“There is nothing more powerful than a group of participants or contributors applying their focused energy to a common cause.”
Gathering for a particular purpose, objective, or outcome There is nothing more powerful than a group of participants or contributors applying their focused energy to a common cause. When this principle is applied to a healing journey, the group energy amplifies the benefits and accelerates everyone’s progress. The common goal can also provide a platform to celebrate each other’s efforts and breakthroughs. Open communication and selfexpression Personal growth and exploring one’s Inner World is very vulnerable for most. For those who are just starting out and who don’t know what to expect, it can also be a bit scary. Having a willingness to be open among others allows for mutual support, encouragement and sharing of each other’s experiences.
In all of the groups that I have been a part of, precious few have really been supportive or held an actual sense of “community” as described above. In these experiences, it was apparently enough to be a group in order to be called “community” Today, more than ever, we need it to be more I believe it is imperative that like-minded women come together to support each other and to foster change in the world. There are many ways to do so, both personally and through our businesses In her article in Women Thrive Magazine, Kirsty Carden observes how women in business can create global impact and change lives. When our hearts are leading the way, anything is possible She states, “By investing in our development [as women business owners], we equip ourselves with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead with purpose and create real change.”
Creating and maintaining Community takes personal leadership, a willingness to show up for others, and being the example of strength - or vulnerability - when needed For many solopreneurs in the personal growth and healing space, this is easier said than done –the “witch wound” runs deep in our collective psyche as does the competitiveness and judgement that would tear down others to get ahead. There is a better way – to embody a conscious leadership mindset where “both the community and the environment are considered important [business] stakeholders. To achieve that, we need compelling leaders to role model what the future can look like if we have the courage to change”.
What’s holding you back from your highest Calling Soul Expression? Take this as a call to action to Be the Change you want to see in the world! Together, in community, we can make it happen!

Imagine a room filled with warm light, the buzz of meaningful conversation, and laughter shared between familiar faces and new friends alike. This isn’t just another networking event it’s a gathering of kindred spirits, an opportunity to connect in a world that too often feels digital and distant. And there, right in that room, are the pillars that lead to fulfilment, both in business and life: connection, community, and collaboration.
In my journey, both as a professional and a person, I’ve found that no success story stands on its own. Instead, it’s built on these three foundational values, the “3 C’s” that guide and ground us. They’re what we all crave, young or old, whether we’re entering a new chapter, building a business, or simply hoping to feel like we belong.
Connection: The Power of Real Conversations
True connection goes deeper than social media likes or LinkedIn posts It’s the meaningful, in-person conversations that leave a lasting impression Recently, at a Business Expo, I experienced firsthand the magic of face-to-face connection I left with just a single goodie bag but more importantly, I had gathered new conversations, connections, and a deeper sense of belonging in my professional community There’s nothing like that moment when someone shakes your hand and says, “Oh, you’re Keely!” That instant recognition, built from real conversations, holds a value that no virtual interaction can match
And beyond these professional wins, connection fills a human need According to mentalhealth org uk, “People who are more socially connected to family, friends, or their community are happier, physically healthier, and live longer, with fewer mental health problems than people who are less well connected.” In a world filled with notifications and fleeting digital connections, nurturing genuine relationships is one of the most profound forms of self-care.
Community: Finding Your Circle
If connection is about the people we meet, community is about the people who stay the ones who uplift us and remind us that we matter. When I think of community, I think of the warmth and support that came my way after a recent personal loss. Those who reached out through personal calls, cards, and flowers brought light to a dark time, reminding me that community is more than a network; it’s a lifeline. It’s there to hold us up and remind us we’re not alone.
We all crave this kind of support, and it’s not limited to young people or professionals Our elders, friends, and even colleagues need community just as much Community is timeless It’s the ultimate investment in well-being, and when we surround ourselves with people who “get it”, our mental health, happiness, and overall success naturally thrive
Collaboration: Growing Stronger, Together
While connection and community ground us, collaboration pushes us forward When we find the right people to work with, the results can be transformative In my career, collaborating with like-minded people has led to growth and new perspectives I wouldn’t have achieved alone Working with others opens doors to new ideas and opportunities and reminds us that no challenge is insurmountable with the right support system Collaboration isn’t just about efficiency or results; it’s about growing through shared experiences. As we embrace collaboration, we build the kind of resilience that helps us find purpose and direction, even in uncertain times. Together, we are more adaptable, more creative, and ultimately, more fulfilled.
Lessons from the Dark Times
Of course, life doesn’t always follow a smooth path We all go through times when it feels like our direction is lost, or like every step forward is met with three steps back I’ve been there, too But through the darkest times, I’ve learned to ask myself, “What lesson can I take from this?” That mindset has been a powerful tool It’s not always easy, but seeing a challenge as a lesson helps me turn setbacks into stepping stones
Surrounding myself with a strong community has been essential here. There’s something deeply comforting in knowing there are people who will reach out and check in when I go quiet. They remind me of my direction when I feel lost, lifting me up when I need it most. And that support is something we all need, regardless of our path in life.
Bringing the 3 C’s into Your World
So, how do we find this kind of connection, community, and collaboration in our own lives? It starts with intention. Seek out spaces that reflect your values, whether you’re networking over coffee or connecting through a shared passion. Surround yourself with people who align with your goals and ideals who bring out the best in you and remind you of what matters Or as I like to call it, “fishing in the right pond” Find your people and dive in
Imagine a world where our connections are as thoughtful as a handwritten note, where our communities are as reliable as our best friends, and where collaboration feels like a seamless extension of who we are These values aren’t just tools for success; they’re the essence of a fulfilling, balanced life When we embrace the 3 C’s, we not only elevate our professional lives but also build a foundation of support and purpose that guides us through every stage of life
The journey forward isn’t just about climbing to the top; it’s about finding purpose and fulfilment through the people we meet along the way Embrace connection, nurture community, and seek out collaboration, and you’ll find that success and happiness come naturally because, after all, we’re stronger together
If any of this resonates with you, let’s have a conversation Exploring our shared values could open the door to collaboration It all starts with a simple text, DM, or voice note. Find me on LinkedIn, and let’s see what doors our connection can open for both of us.

The Importance of Self-Care and Mental Wellness
by Emmilia O'Sullivan
Some Horror Stories Have Silver Linings: The Importance of Self-Care
Halloween is traditionally when we dive into tales of terror, spooky legends, and horror stories. But beyond the chills and thrills, these stories often reveal a deeper truth: no matter how dark the path, there's always a way forward. I know firsthand that most people will face a horror story of their own in life. I’ve experienced moments of fear, stress, loss, and uncertainty But just like in those eerie tales, there are always silver linings to be found, and these challenges can help us grow stronger and more resilient.
My Journey: A Story of Resilience
Life has been full of unexpected hardships for me, and while I haven't faced monsters or supernatural forces, the stress, anxiety, and emotional toll of everyday struggles can feel just as overwhelming. I’ve faced immense health challenges kidney failure, cancer, and countless surgeries but through it all, I haven't just survived; I've thrived. I've maintained a positive mindset, pursued my passions, and found joy in life’s little moments, which have helped me push through I’ve pursued education, travelled the world, found love, and held onto my sense of humour. My greatest victory isn't just overcoming illness but learning how to find fulfilment and purpose despite my struggles
Self-care and Silver Linings
Over the years, I’ve come to see life’s physical, emotional, or mental struggles as opportunities for growth, even when they feel catastrophic in the moment Like the best horror tales, there’s always a way to transform these challenges into something positive. Prioritising self-care and mental wellness has given me the tools to survive and thrive Self-care to me means reflecting on what truly matters, setting boundaries, and embracing self-compassion. It’s about learning to say “no” when needed, taking time to rest, and finding joy in simple moments It’s working to address anxiety, stress, and trauma, knowing that letting them fester only makes things harder. It's finding ways to cultivate resilience through therapy, mindfulness, and creative outlets. It’s spending time with loved ones or others facing the same challenges I have faced Anything that makes your world a little bit brighter..
“Self-care to me means reflecting on what truly matters, setting boundaries, and embracing self-compassion.“

“From Zero to Hero”
by Juanita Landrau
In a world where uncertainty, trauma and fear often overshadow ambition, emerging as a successful business woman can seem like a distant dream for many Yet, the journey from the depths of despair to the pinnacles of success is not only possible but profoundly inspiring Being raised in a household where you were punished for trying to be yourself can setback anyone or even discourage someone completely from even trying Before success illuminated my path,I faced unimaginable challenges Personal traumas and financial hardships loomed large, Despite these overwhelming obstacles, a spark of belief remained within me This belief, coupled with sheer determination, kept me moving forward. I wrestled with feelings of doubt and fear, yet chose to see every setback as a lesson. I found strength in the smallest victories. Each struggle, rather than breaking my spirit, fueled my drive to transform my circumstances and pursue my entrepreneurial dreams.
Realizing that waiting for change would not lead me to the success I desired, I made a pivotal decision: to take control of my destiny. This shift in mindset was the catalyst I needed. With fear no longer dictating my actions, I began to envision what my future could look like if I actively fought for it. Embracing the idea of starting my own business, I sought out resources and knowledge, determined to learn everything I could about entrepreneurship This newfound purpose fueled my daily actions, from developing a business plan to networking with potential mentors and partners My determination was palpable, and I slowly started to see progress, each small victory reinforcing my belief that I was on the right path People around me started to also feel the energy shift
Navigating through the various stages of my business journey, I encountered numerous hurdles ranging from fierce competition to economic downturns Each challenge seemed like a roadblock, but my past experiences had fortified with an unwavering resolve I approached every obstacle with a strategic mindset, breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks My resilience was bolstered by my ability to pivot and adapt to changing circumstances, continually refining my business strategies to stay ahead. The support of my growing network also played a crucial role, offering both practical advice and emotional encouragement. I found strength in my community, drawing inspiration from their shared experiences and collective wisdom. With each setback, resolving only grew stronger, teaching me that perseverance was not just a trait but a practice that had to be nurtured daily. This mindset allowed me to transform challenges into opportunities for innovation and growth, ensuring my business not only survived but thrived amidst adversity.
Turning my attention from merely running a successful business to becoming a benefactor, I began to harness my company’s resources and my newfound influence to make a broader impact Recognizing the critical role that community support played in my own journey, I was determined to create pathways for others facing similar challenges I launched mentorship programs that paired seasoned entrepreneurs with aspiring business owners, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and mutual growth Additionally, my company regularly organized charity drives and community events aimed at addressing local needs and promoting social cohesion
My approach was holistic, focusing not just on financial assistance but also on providing educational workshops and networking opportunities Particularly with the nightlife industry, I understood that empowerment came through equipping individuals with the tools and confidence to succeed on their own terms Through these initiatives, I built a robust support system that extended beyond my immediate business network, touching lives and inspiring change on a larger scale.
Moreover, I advocated for social responsibility within the corporate world, encouraging other business leaders to take active roles in their communities. My efforts were not just acts of charity; they were strategic investments in the social fabric that contributed to long-term community resilience and growth. My journey from a struggling entrepreneur to a community benefactor highlighted the transformative power of giving back.
Reflecting on my journey, I emphasize the value of resilience embracing failures as opportunities for growth. Building a strong support network is crucial; no one succeeds in isolation Continuous learning and adaptability are vital in an ever-changing business landscape I understand the importance of believing in your vision, even when the path seems unclear My story illustrates that determination and dreams can propel anyone from zero to hero
“Perseverance was not just a trait but a practice that had to be nurtured daily.”

Empowered Together: The Top 5 Reasons Women Thrive In a Community of
Like-Minded Professionals
by Jeanette Lowry
“ ... building a collective TRIBE of big dreamers with strong work ethics and servant hearts has given everyone a voice”
Why are women in the workforce and those home raising a family seeking a COMMUNITY (I call my TRIBE) of other like-minded women to grow with, learn from, gain support and encouragement from others because it is natural for women to nurture, be in service and care for others.
Thanks to the internet, the global economy, social media, and the growing popularity of side hustles, women are aligning with a network or affiliate marketing company which gives them a built-in community of like-minded professionals after similar end goals that the products and financial opportunity offers. The Direct Selling Association (DSA) and *Winsavvy.com reports an upward trajectory for continued growth of these companies for which women make up approximately 75% of network marketers worldwide in 2024.
Being self-employed since 1990, I have relied on and thrived in my community of like-minded women for 34 years I know building a collective TRIBE of big dreamers with strong work ethics and servant hearts has given everyone a voice, a shoulder to cry on when necessary and an authentic collective of women who focus on COLLABORATION rather than COMPETITION
The common bond bringing my community together was around the health benefits gained from the products and the financial opportunity to earn part-time, full-time, or legacy-recurring income
In building my community, I am very intentional about making sure every woman knows they are part of a collective of other like-minded women ‘up to similar life goals,’ working within a business culture that supports mutual values, and the common good with end results that are uplifting for all.
Here is a breakdown of The Top Five Reasons Women Thrive in the right community of likeminded women.
1. Support Through Life’s Highs and LowsThis collective resilience allows each member to feel understood and uplifted in ways that often are not available elsewhere.
In a community of like-minded women, you can find emotional and practical support not only through your personal life milestones, but this support usually extends to your family as well.
I cannot imagine going through my divorce in 1999-2000 without my ‘support tribe’ who put their arms around the three of us and helped us navigate the personal challenges I didn't know were in front of me Members celebrate each other’s wins and provide strength during tough times
2 Shared Knowledge and Experience-
Within a community of like-minded women seeking to attain similar goals, there is a treasure trove of shared experiences, training, conventions, trips, and new insights, from business strategies, mental & physical wellbeing, and financial accomplishments. Women in these circles often share resources on everything from sales techniques, health tips and mindset growth The dynamics help every member learn, evolve, and thrive.
3 Empowerment and AccountabilityIn communities like these, members naturally motivate each other to reach new goals. They push each other to step out of comfort zones, aim higher, and stay on track This mutual accountability is priceless, especially in a network marketing business where consistent action is essential. Women gain confidence in their abilities and start to see new potential within themselves through the strides seen of others reaching their personal goals within a community of like-minded women.
4 Opportunities for Collaboration and GrowthCollaboration is a powerful component of a community Women in these circles often partner on projects, brainstorm innovative ideas, and at times may co-create new ventures This can lead to growth not only in business but also in personal confidence and skill development. There is a sense of empowerment in knowing you are not alone in creating a future for yourself and your family within a community of likeminded women
5
Long-Lasting Friendships-
One of the most cherished aspects of a community like this is the friendships that blossom over time These relationships often extend beyond business, offering members a lifetime of connection and camaraderie As women share their lives, they become each other’s advocates and confidantes, creating bonds that last long after business ends I have had like-minded women in my community for over 3 decades These women have truly become my forever friends!
The September 2024 issue of THRIVE MAGAZINE includes an article titled “Empowering Women Through Personal Development Communities” https://womenthrivemagazine.com/personaldevelopment-communities/ which highlights a quote that resonates with me
“We thrive in environments where support, empathy and shared aspirations create a foundation for change.”
This is a perfect description of what I have found in the industry I love and within the company’s community of like-minded women who share similar end goals
In conclusion, being part of a community of likeminded women who are aiming towards similar goals within a business or industry will often find more than simply business support They can find a safety net when they fall, encouragement through seasons of life, a push when a kick in the pants is necessary and praise when that next big achievement is met This is a perfect incubator for personal growth
Are you looking for a ‘forever’ community of likeminded women you can grow old with? Have you found your TRIBE yet?
I’d invite you to reach out and visit my website www.JeanetteLowry.com to see if you might find that community you are seeking!

Jeanette became an entrepreneur in 1990 where she first discovered the power of recurring income which allowed her to stay home and raise 2 young kids following a divorce Today, she combines Brand Partnership, E-Biz and social media to help women launch their own business where she earns as she learns
Throughout our lives, we build up an understanding of ourselves and the way we work internally How we like to do things, what we’re good at and how we deal with pressures But what if I told you that sometimes, the life scripts that we tell ourselves aren’t always true?
Those life scripts are a conditioned, manifested version of ourselves that plays out for so long that we begin to believe that there’s no other way that we can operate.
I find this to be particularly true with women who are driven to succeed in business and help others to change. More often than not, we end up working too hard, and we don’t realise it until we receive the burnout signal.
Yes, we are getting very good at pulling back now before that burnout feeling hits, but what if I told you that you are STILL probably working too hard and fighting against the natural flow of your energy?
What if it turns out that the drive to do more and make that ‘to do’ list disappear is actually you operating in your shadow energy?
Discovering Your Inner Truth with Human Design
I want to introduce you to a personality test for your soul: Human Design This incredibly accurate system, based on your time and place of birth, brings science and spirituality together, creating a map of your energy, purpose and uniqueness
Not only that, but Human Design also shows you where you are operating in your shadow energy – called the “not-self”. And when we look at the pressures that we put on ourselves to get our ‘to do’ list done, to do more work and to achieve more, this is the energy in your root chakra that may be out of alignment.
You see, Human Design is based on many systems; scientific and esoteric. One of the systems it uses is the Hindu Chakra system, and taking a look at how your unique energy flows through each chakra gives you an indication of whether you are in alignment with your unique energy or not.
Thriving on Stress and Pressure
Back in my corporate marketing career, I thought that I LOVED to be stressed. In marketing, there’s always something else to be done; another email to draft, or another social post to be created There’s no limit to how much marketing you can do
So there I was in my marketing career, constantly stressed that I couldn’t meet deadlines, or worried that I “should” be doing more and getting better results I thrived off the energy though; that satisfaction of doing more and more
Little did I know, I was creating my own stress from within My deadlines were mostly perceived or internal deadlines, and coupled with my poor self-worth and inability to set healthy boundaries, I overworked myself in an underpaid job for zero recognition
The Human Design Bodygraph
When my intuition pinged the very first time I saw my Human Design Bodygraph, I knew I had to dive in deeper A year later, after an intensive coaching course, I emerged realising many things about myself; too many to list here, but one of them was that I didn’t need to put all that stress and pressure on myself I could do everything in my own timing; in fact, the positive aspects of my life from then on have always happened in divine timing.
Having released the stress and pressure that I put on myself, I now live a life where I work 50% less than I did in my corporate marketing career, and earn three times more.
And whilst my awareness of the energy of my root chakra was paramount in my awakening, so was my understanding of how I operated in my not-self.
Align With Your True Self
Life is easy when you operate in alignment with your unique energy. There’s less resistance and more happiness in all aspects of business and leadership when you swim with the flow of your energy and not against it When you make your own decisions rather than do what others tell you to do
Human Design is just one of the many tools that you can use to align yourself with your inner truth; it’s my favourite, of course, it’s the one that has made the biggest difference in my energy levels, stress levels and abundance levels
Take the time to find what works for you Learning your strategy and authority in Human Design can be a good start for this; you’ll be able to tap into your genius, connect with your body and learn how you are designed to operate in life and make decisions that feel good for you
My intuition led me into Human Design, will yours too?

An Open Invitation to Women to Feel and Express Their Anger
by Natasha Bacca
As women, many of us were taught that anger is “bad”, something to be avoided and definitely not expressed From a young age, we learn that anger is unpleasant, and to be unpleasant is to be unworthy These messages often come from our families and are reinforced by society While we are all born with a natural anger response to boundary violations, women have been conditioned not to feel or express it
Numerous studies indicate that anger in men is seen as confident, strong, and credible In contrast, women expressing the same emotion are often viewed as emotional, irrational, or even unhinged. Men are not only allowed to be angry; they are praised for it. Conversely, women face prohibitions against expressing anger and are shamed into denying its existence. The message is clear: stay silent. Yet, denying our anger means denying our truth, experiences, longings, and needs. Responding to our anger can bring disruption, which is the revolutionary change we desperately need.
Rebecca Traister, author of , states, “What is bad for women, when it comes to anger, are the messages that cause us to bottle it up, let it fester, keep it silent, feel shame, and isolation for ever having felt it What is good for us is opening our mouths and letting it out, permitting ourselves to feel it and say it and think it and act on it ”
Anger is not only an emotional response; it is a rational reaction to the constant threats and violent acts women face daily It can propel us from pain to hope, from compliance to change Severing ourselves from this protective emotion only fuels the dangers and injustices we encounter. Instead of shaming women’s anger, we should ask, “Why?” and learn to listen to its messages with compassion. By embracing our anger, we can express it responsibly and foster righteous anger in each other and our daughters.
“Anger is not only an emotional response; it is a rational reaction to the constant threats and violent acts women face daily.”
Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger
Rage Becomes Her: The Power of Women's Anger,
In Soraya Chemaly argues that “our anger is not only justified; it is also an active part of the solution
Approached with conscious intention, anger is a vital instrument, a radar for injustice and a catalyst for change ” Yet, the societal belittlement of our anger limits our power a situation we can no longer tolerate
Women have been shamed into suppressing their anger, which often leads to physical and mental health issues like high blood pressure, heart disease, depression, and anxiety. Suppression can also result in relationship problems and self-sabotaging behaviors. Even when women do feel anger, they often don’t know how to express it constructively. Sublimation allows individuals to channel negative emotions into socially acceptable activities, benefiting personal and societal health.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), anger is considered a primary emotion significantly impacting health. Associated with the wood element and spring, anger is viewed as a natural response to interruptions in growth and movement. By welcoming anger as a messenger and fuel for transformation, we can harness its energy for necessary change TCM sees anger as vital; it is the energy that allows a flower to bloom
Despite our anger leading to significant positive social changes think of movements like suffrage, civil rights, and women’s liberation we are still pressured to remain silent Initiatives like the #SayHerName campaign and the #MeToo movement illustrate how women’s anger can challenge norms and advocate for justice These movements have prompted essential conversations about accountability and led to changes in policies regarding sexual harassment
Anger among women is a universal experience that crosses cultural, social, and political boundaries Creating safe spaces where girls and women can express their justifiable anger towards patriarchy is essential Parents should discuss healthy ways to recognize and communicate feelings of anger with their daughters Educational institutions can incorporate strategies to address anger related to systemic oppression. Open dialogues about anger and the limitations imposed by patriarchal society can diminish the stigma surrounding female rage, fostering a healthier, more equitable world.
While you may not have received an invitation to feel and express your anger, I invite you to do so. Listen to your sisters when they express their anger, and stop shaming your daughters for feeling it. Recognize the power that anger holds and harness it for the greater good. Use it as a catalyst for the changes we are collectively experiencing. Feel, express, and act wisely. Your life may depend on it.
“Our anger is not only justified; it is also an active part of the solution”

IFinding the Right Support: A Healing Journey to Reclaim Your Voice
by Danica Riviera
n the final moments of my last therapy session, I stood in a small office littered with glitter a million tiny shards representing every piece of me I had exposed, broken, and tried to rebuild That glitter wasn’t just for show; it was a statement, a culmination of all I’d been through, and a final attempt to say, “This is what it looks like when a life is shattered.”
Finding the right support when starting your healing journey is essential. Therapy should feel like a place to rebuild, not one that leaves pieces uncollected. Here’s the hard truth: Not every therapist will understand your story, and finding the right support can be a journey on its own.
Finding the Right Support: The Power of Attunement in Therapy
When we seek therapy, we want someone who gets it, someone who feels the same gravity of each word, every wound. A therapist’s role isn’t to “fix” us; it’s to sit with us through the mess, through the questions, and through the pain. It’s a gift to be truly seen in your struggles, especially when you’re looking for even a sliver of light I remember those first few sessions with my therapist I wanted to believe it would help, but something always felt a bit off Despite opening up, I felt unsteady, like standing on ground that could give way Over time, that distance grew into frustration, and eventually, it felt like betrayal It’s healing just to be seen, held in a space where there’s no rush to “fix” you
When Therapy Hurts More Than It Heals
My therapist and I parted ways when she decided, unilaterally, that our work together would end. She knew every hurt, every wound that termination would reopen, yet she made that decision. And that’s where the glitter came in. I wanted her to see the impact of her choice, to understand what I’d been carrying. Therapy had exposed every vulnerable piece of me, like the million glittering particles I spread across her office. In that moment, standing amid a sea of glitter, I felt the weight of my unmet needs, the abandonment, and the strength rising up within me to continue
The Qualities of Good Therapy- How to Find the Right Support
That experience taught me how vital it is to find the right support The right support doesn’t just show up for the easy parts; they create a space where you can safely share the hidden, complicated pieces without fear A good therapist has more than credentials; they bring empathy and the heart to meet you wherever you are
“The right support doesn’t just show up for the easy parts; they create a space where you can safely share the hidden, complicated pieces without fear”
If you are beginning your journey, here are some qualities to seek:
Empathy and True Understanding: The ability to listen with their heart as well as their ears A therapist who’s deeply present will respond to both what you say and what you may struggle to express
Validation of Your Experience: Good therapy feels like recognition Your story matters, and a supportive therapist respects the weight of your experiences without minimizing them.
Empowerment, Not Dependency: A great therapist’s goal isn’t to make you reliant on them but to help you tap into your own resilience.
Finding Strength in the Unlikely Moments
Looking back, that glitter-filled room was more than a dramatic farewell. It was an awakening, a shift from being defined by pain to seeing the resilience that had been building all along. Therapy may not have saved me in the way I’d hoped, but it showed me a powerful truth that even broken, I could still shine.
My Journey to Becoming the Therapist I Needed
That experience marked a turning point, one that led me to redefine my path Now, as a graduate student in counseling, I’m stepping into the role I so deeply craved a therapist who listens, understands, and genuinely attunes to the intricate needs of each person who walks through their door I know the raw ache of sitting across from someone, heart laid bare and feeling that who I was and what I carried was missed or dismissed That was a hurt I wouldn’t wish on anyone
But from that hurt has grown my purpose My journey in therapy, painful as it was, showed me what healing needs: connection, safety, the feeling that your story is worth the time In every person I hope to meet in this work, I’m committed to creating a space where they feel seen in their fullness, where they’re reminded that their broken pieces aren’t too many Healing is not a destination; it’s a journey we walk together, reclaiming our voices and finding hope along the way. And so, with each step I take toward becoming the therapist I needed, I carry my story forward not as a weight but as a light for others. This isn’t just a new chapter; it’s a calling to walk alongside others with openness, respect, and a steady reminder that their pain matters, and their hope is worth fighting for.
“Healing is not a destination; it’s a journey we walk together, reclaiming our voices and finding hope along the way.”
Danica Riviera
Aspiring therapist and graduate student, passionate about guiding others on their healing journeys. Grounded in personal experience, I am committed to creating compassionate spaces where people feel deeply seen, heard, and empowered to reclaim their voices and rediscover hope.
Fourteen years ago, my seemingly perfect life began to unravel Each morning, I greeted the day with silent tears, a reflection of the pain I couldn’t express I felt trapped by societal expectations and family pressures, unable to make my parents understand the depth of my suffering. For over a decade, I silently balanced work, motherhood, and the agony of a crumbling marriage
My car became my sanctuary, the only place I could reflect It was during those moments that I realized I had to break free. That self-reflection was key to my liberation, guiding me back to the happiness I had long lost
But where did I find the courage to break free?
I wrestled with societal norms, especially the notion that women should endure unhappy marriages for the sake of their families My father told me to "stay strong," but I didn’t want strength I wanted freedom. What I didn’t realize was that embracing my strength would lead me to the freedom I craved.
Today, I stand not only as a survivor but as a thriver It took me twelve years to reclaim my life after it took a turn for the worse. In 2021, I finally attained the freedom I had longed for, and now, I am living my best life as a Relationship and Divorce Mentor and Coach
Breaking Free from Societal Norms
As women, we’re often conditioned to sacrifice our happiness for tradition But it’s time to challenge these stigmas. Staying in an unhappy marriage doesn’t benefit anyone least of all our children. A toxic environment is no place for them to grow
My journey began in 2010, when I realized my marriage wasn’t what I had imagined. Two years later, I knew I had to leave. But being part of the Asian community made it harder I had sacrificed my career to meet my husband’s expectations, working parttime while raising our children. When I decided to end the marriage, my family offered no support, believing I should stay for the children’s sake They disregarded my mental health
Despite the lack of support, I left my family’s employment and began to rebuild my life. By 2016, I had reestablished my career, but emotionally, I was still struggling My family refused to see the truth, but in 2017, after their own falling out with my husband, they finally understood. Divorce proceedings began in 2018, but we still lived under the same roof The emotional toll was immense, but my boys’ resilience kept me going
The Emotional Toll and Journey to Freedom
Three years, five court dates, and two trials later, I was finally free Although I’ve repaired my relationship with my mother, I know she will never fully accept my divorce
The journey was emotionally draining, but a message from a friend reminded me of my strength: “You’ve endured things no woman or mother should, and you did it with grace Now straighten your crown and hold your head high.”
In 2021, I celebrated my freedom with a divorce party an act unheard of for an Indian woman I didn’t intend to break societal norms; I was simply celebrating my happiness. That act sent ripples through the media, challenging the stigma around divorce
Rediscovering Myself and Inspiring Others
Rebuilding my life after years of emotional manipulation wasn’t easy Learning to love myself after being told I didn’t deserve happiness was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done In January 2022, I attended my first networking event, nervous and out of my comfort zone. The discomfort grew when my ex-husband walked in with a former friend I wanted to leave, but I stayed By the end of the evening, I realized there was a world of strong, ambitious women thriving and it was time for me to thrive, too.
Key Lessons from My Journey
Self-Reflection and Acceptance: Recognizing the reality of my marriage was painful but essential.
Courage to Break Free: Defying societal and family pressures required immense courage, but it was vital to prioritize my well-being.
Perseverance: Rebuilding my life was tough, but my determination to create a new path kept me going
Seeking Support: Though emotional support was scarce, I leaned on those who stood by me, including my children and close friends
Focusing on My Children: My boys became a source of strength, motivating me to persevere through the toughest moments.
Embracing New Beginnings: Despite the pain, I envisioned a brighter future and embraced new opportunities
Empowering Others: Sharing my story allowed me to challenge societal stigmas and inspire others to find their own strength
Striving for Inclusion
As a single parent, I understand the unique challenges this role brings We need to challenge stereotypes and create a world where everyone, regardless of family structure, can thrive. Single parents need more workplace support and understanding from society This change begins when we find our voices and use them to empower ourselves and others
Reclaiming my voice has given me a new sense of purpose Now, as a Relationship and Divorce Mentor and Coach, I help others navigate their own journeys of selfdiscovery and empowerment It’s a privilege to support individuals through the challenges of divorce, helping them find their strength, voice, and happiness again
Sonia Gupta is a Relationship and Divorce Mentor, helping individuals navigate the emotional challenges of divorce with confidence and empowerment Through her own journey of healing, she has transformed her pain into purpose, guiding clients to rebuild their lives and embrace new beginnings with strength and clarity
