WOMEN’S GOLF UPDATE
BY KIM DANGELO & LAURA REEVES 18-HOLE LADIES CO-CAPTAINS
January started off cold, but what a great turn out we had to start the new year. We are trying something new this year playing some fun games like throwing out the par 5s. No wonder the turnout was great — who wouldn’t want to play in that competition? Hope all the Ladies enjoyed this format.
Debbie Wall was able to award our most-improved golfer Erin Devries with her Trophy this month.
The first Board meeting was held in January by our new Co-captains Kim Dangelo and Laura Reeves. We would like to thank all board members for working with us.
Our 18 Hole Ladies are not only fun to golf with, but enjoy some social time on the 19th Hole where the Woodbridge staff is always taking great care of us.
Thank-you Ladies for the great support for the first Centennial Celebration at the Roaring 1924 Cocktail Party. We would like to thank our co-captain Laura Reeves and the Centennial Committee for putting on a great event. We are looking forward to the rest of the celebrations to come throughout the year.
February is fast approaching with our first special event, Valentine’s Day Party. I am sure Sondra Huff, Diane Gardemeyer and Anne Huyett are planning a fun day for all of us.
The 18-hole Ladies have a lot of fun on the course and off the course. If you’re a full member of Woodbridge and would like to come and play and see what we are about give our Membership Chair Beth Grady a call or just contact one of the members.
