Club news
Dear Members, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support of Woodcrest as we continue to grow and flourish. Having been here for 22 years, it is close to my heart seeing the level of vitality and excitement here at the club. There are a lot of great things happening and I am confident this trend will continue as we strive to meet and exceed your expectations. Our food and beverage operation, under the direction of George Jordan has continued to improve in service, quality of food, and presentation. Woodcrest is fast earning the reputation in the community for the place to hold your special event. George, with the help of Iggy, our Executive Chef, continues to work hard providing you and your guests the highest quality experience. Some of our recent highlights have been the opening of the pool on Memorial Day, which has been a huge success. Our upgrades at the pool area and improvements in the menu and food options at The Grill at the Turn has been very well received. These exciting new menu options, along with a variety of frozen cocktails, mixed drinks and a variety of beer choices, make the pool area a great place to relax with the family after a nice swim. Our first Dive in Movie Night of the year is on July 22nd with “Zootopia. We will have lots of tasty treats and specials for the kids and adults too. Another highlight of the summer has been our Happy Hours on the patio of Bar 1929 with live music. The happy hours with entertainment will continue throughout the summer well into October. Bar 1929 is continually offering new menu items, so be sure to stop by and enjoy lunch or dinner inside or on the beautiful patio. We look forward to seeing everybody at the club enjoying the golf course, Bar 1929 and pool. With your help our membership will continue to grow stronger, making sure the club is here for generations to come. On behalf of the entire Woodcrest Country Club team, I thank you for being a part of the Woodcrest family. If there is anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to let me know. I thank you again and look forward to an even better second half of the 2016 season here at the club. Kind Regards,
Patrick Lucas

Chef’s Corner
Woodcrest Country Club Welcomes... ANTONIETTA ROMANO SOUS CHEF
It was 1963 when Antonietta Romano moved with her family from Italy to America. Before leaving her native country, she made sure to transcribe all of her grandmother’s recipes from the old country. Since she was just a little girl, Antonietta has loved to cook, and now she offers you her years of experience making traditional Italian food.Antonietta has been preparing fine Italian and domestic cuisine in Southern New Jersey for decades. You may remember her delicious dishes from the Warwick Tavern in Somerdale and also her restaurant, Antonietta’s on Black Horse Pike in Runnemede. We are excited to welcome Antonietta to the Woodcrest family!
Congratulations to Chef Iggy and his wife Luz on their new bundle of joy! Thomas Mateo Ygnacio was born June 16, 2016 8 lbs. 11 oz. Woodcrest Country Club 7.

Sundays Bar 1929 9am - 2pm
Summer is under way at Woodcrest! The pool has been a frenzy of activity especially on the weekends. Bar 1929 is hopping with happy hour revelers on Thursdays and Fridays and the golf course is busier than ever.Seafood Night was held on Thursday, June 16th. The event was enjoyed by all in attendance. It was a wonderful buffet of crab cakes, lobster tails, stuffed dover sole, raw bar, mussels, shrimp scampi, and a carving station. The weather didn’t cooperate on the Fourth of July but we still had a nice turnout and everyone enjoyed the music, food and the games. Let’s hope for spectacular weather for the Labor Day BBQ. Here we go again, can’t get enough of those lobsters! You are cordially invited to our premier summer event! Lobster Night makes another return this season. This sold out event from last summer will be held on Thursday July 28th. Starting with hors d’oeuvres and a seafood bar at 7:00pm in the Club Bar. Followed by our members feasting on all you can eat Maine Lobsters! Don’t miss out! This event sells out fast so call to make your reservations as soon as possible. It is no secret that our Happy Hours on Thursday and Fridays have been the talk of the town. We have had some very busy nights and I appreciate everyone’s patience as we iron out some of the kinks. It would be very helpful if members and guests would call to reserve a table, so we are better prepared to serve you. The musical selection has been well received and we will continue through the summer. Once the weather turns cool we will continue happy Hours with entertainment in the upstairs club bar through the late fall and winter.
