club NEWS Dear Woodcrest Members, Welcome to the heart of the season. Over the last few months it has been great seeing everyone out and about enjoying the golf course and club. I am happy to announce our membership continues to grow and I would like to give a big welcome to all of our new golf and social members who recently joined the club. Regarding the golf course, our spring greens aeration this spring went very well and I am very happy to report that they are completely healed up and are rolling back to normal speed. Our new bunker renovation on the 4th green has been completed and open for play. Back by popular demand is our secondary cut around the fairways, which has blended in very well and is back as part of our normal mowing and trimming schedule. I would like to take the opportunity to reiterate how important it is for members and guests to follow golf rules and etiquette, as well as our current dress code policy. Both are enclosed in this newsletter for your review. Pool update: it’s time to dive in! Our heated pool is a constant 85 degrees which makes it enjoyable even on the cooler days. Woodcrest has experienced a declining interest in the tennis program over the last fifteen years. In considering the best use for that particular area, going forward, we have decided to convert the tennis courts to parking. This area will provide safe and convenient parking for our members and guest who attend the pool. This is especially important for our members and guests who have young children and families. The pool will be open for weekends only from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm until Cherry Hill is out of school. Beginning June 22, it will be opened daily Monday thru Sunday from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm. Just as a friendly reminder, members are allowed to bring guests for a $10.00 fee. Our social calendar continues to be robust with lots of planned events such as Comedy Night, Father’s Day Brunch, Steaks & Stogies, and of course our Friday Night Live. See our Social and Event Calendar in this issue. Please remember to utilize our reservation system for all these events as early as possible, ensuring that we can provide you and your guests the best seating and member service. Don’t forget our new Member Referral Program detailed in this newsletter. As always, our own members are the best ambassadors for the club. As we continue to grow the Woodcrest family, it’s important for me to know if there are ways we can better accommodate and serve you as our members. If there is anything I can ever do for you or your guests, please do not hesitate to let me know and I look forward to another great season at the club. Kind regards,

Patrick Lucas Director of Operations 856-429-4300 x 107 PLucas@WoodcrestCountryClub.com Woodcrest Country Club 3.

Handling Your Allergies on the golf course Contributed by Member

Dr. Scott Schaffer This season especially, allergies have been horrible! Allergies can be aggravated anywhere grass, trees, flowers and plants are in full bloom and spreading pollen. For golfers who suffer from seasonal allergies, a golf course can contain a host of triggers. Thanks to member, Dr. Scott Schaffer, here are some quick tips to keep you clear on the course: 1. Take your allergy pill* or use your allergy spray** BEFORE you play. 2. After the round, take a shower and change your clothes. If you can't do this, at least comb your hair, wash your face and hands, flush your nose with saline nasal spray*** and blow your nose gently. This reduces subsequent exposure to all of the pollens stuck on your body. 3. Use your air conditioner at home, at work and in the car, with the windows closed; this reduces your pollen exposure when you're not on the course. *over the counter allergy pills: Allegra (fexofenadine), Claritin (loratadine), Zyrtec (cetirizi) usually one pill once/day. **over the counter steroid sprays: Nasacort (triamcinolone), Flonase (fluticasone) 2 sprays each nostril/daily: one spray straight back, one spray upward at a 45 degree angle. ***sodium chloride sprays, of which there are dozens at every pharmacy.

We love hearing from our members! If you have something you would like to contribute to our newsletter, feel free to email us at Membership@WoodcrestCountryClub.com Birth announcements, engagements, hole in ones, Woodcrest Country Club 5. Woodcrest Country Club 5.

Socially Speaking... By George Jordan, Director of Food & Beverage

Summer is under way at Woodcrest Country Club! It has been a very rainy spring to say the least. Let’s hope for a sunny dry summer! Mother’s Day, on Sunday, May 13th was again a sold-out event. We served a delicious brunch buffet to well over 500 members and guests. Woodcrest received rave reviews for the selection of food and the service. Our first Comedy Night held on Friday, June 1st was also a sold-out event. Over 275 members and guests enjoyed the fabulous food stations and three great comedians. Since Comedy Night was so well received we are planning a second comedy night for the early fall. Bar 1929 will host Wednesday theme dinners through the end of June. Starting with Diner Night on Wednesday June 6th, followed by Woodcrest BBQ, Seafood Night and Breakfast for Dinner. Please make reservations for all dinners. As school winds down, take the family to Woodcrest for an easy mid-week dinner. Our Friday Night Live continues all summer long. These nights are extremely popular and it helps us to better serve you if we are prepared. Reservations are required. Look for these specials in Bar 1929 for the month of July: Martini Mondays, Tequila & Taco Tuesdays, Wine Down Wednesdays and Thursday Burgers and Brews. It is no secret that Woodcrest banquet business has surged the last two years. A day doesn’t go by without a member stopping me to comment on how busy the club has become. Our culinary team led by Executive Banquet Chef Abraham Foy continues to do an outstanding job. Abe is an asset to Woodcrest Country Club! His tireless efforts, dedication and attention to detail is what makes our catering second to none. Woodcrest continues to receive glowing reviews on our innovative food presentation and quality. Our parties are priced right and the food and service is always top notch. Remember the events are always more fun when you are there!

Looking forward to seeing everyone around the club! Best,

George
